That’s not a pleasure, Here ends this missive!
Oh, and DD has blown on her candles again!
Oh, and cats are nice. You can have Raffles. He is a mouser! Yesterday because I did not feed him early enough, he went for a take away!
V BoPsie who is supposed to look after BoP, fell over of Friday night and broke her arm. She does not bounce like her BoP so needs tendering and things like that. Please do not panic, she is able to handle red wine with her left arm!
4 Had some more of the Cottage Pie yesterday. Lovely with swede and carrot mash! Pan gravy as well! And in todays packed lunch box for BoP we have Sour Grapes, jelly and tangerines. Satsuma this weak and egg custard flan with leek and bacon. Cherry toms, and two cakes of Jaffa. No chocolate biscuits this weak as they are not on offer and BoP has deep pockets!
3 And to start with, BoP had fresh cold milk on his golden flakes of corn! Proper start to the day and set BoP off to work in the boiler room with his shovel!
2 Nite BoP is inn the gym to keep his beach ready body in shape.
Having one today. After the gym, we will be having nasta pasta ravioli again, with home made sauce of boolignasia! Tinned toms with added punch! Proper foods and good for you! As BoPsie is armless at the moement, please think of her as she won’t be able to get the ravioli out of the pan as fast as her BoP! Food must be spoonable!
BoP Tour details coming up. Don’t forget to get Live updates.

Happy birthday, DD.
Get well soon, Bopsie.
Pleasures for today (Tuesday).
1) Bigger son drove to NCS OK.
2) Hens well and 3 (I think?) eggs today.
3) Got a few more bits done before our holiday including washing hats and gloves ready for the cold cavern activity...
4) Asked my neighbour if she would feed our cat and she said yes.
5) Got lots of branches for firewood where some land has been cleared in the village for surveying (yet again) for potential new housing (they've been applying for planning permission since before I moved in - in 1999! No one seems to realise the nearest mains sewer in 2.5 miles away).
6) Popped into town to pick up bigger son, went to Sainsburys.
7) Tasty tea of beef tagine with cous cous plus some corn on the cobs I wanted to use up.
8) Watched GBBO.
9) Really enjoyed Holby tonight though it was very sad.0 -
1. Long conversation with colleague at work. She is having problems both at work and health problems. She needed someone to listen.
2. I was generally left alone at work which was good.
3. Quick journey home. Meant I could sit and relax while enjoying a coffee when I arrived home.
4. Cooked a roast lamb which was good.
5. GBBO is back.0 -
Belated Happy Birthday DD
Seem to have let this go again recently so, some pleasures of late
1. Nice time in ICT with sister in law and brother in Law. was really nice to see them without OH's mother as she makes her presence felt They have a lovely doggo so it was nice to do some dog walks - she's great fun.
2. A weekend of delicious food and wine (too much red wine - although not much seems to be too much lately). BiL is an excellent cook - he cooked for me, then i cooked for them and then we took some steak to their caravan and they cooked our it for us.
3. This meant two 'field moments' (Rhydy, Frith) - going to the campsite we used to stay on. Was lovely to be there again.
4. One trip to the field was by steam train - coming back in the dark in a compartment by myself, very atmospheric. The other day we cycled - always interesting after too much red wine :rotfl:
5. Before that i had a couple of evenings just me and DS - was nice to get him to myself. We started watching Peaky blinders from the beginning. Two weeks to get through them before DS goes back to uni
6. Some work done but i still don't know what i am doing with the data - i am thinking of paying for a short course...
7. good train journey back yesterday - got some work done.
8. Old (former) cleaner turned up for a coffee yesterday, was nice to catch up with her.
9. live music event in ICT - really good to see the place so lively. Fireworks at night which the dog coped with quite well
10. Early night to prepare for my early morning as i am now on the train to London.
Have a good day all - have a nice time in ICT, FrithI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
My kind of breakfast DD
Ouch, healing vibes for Bopsie
Tuesday pleasures,
Fast day so took my mind off hunger pangs by tackling Mount Ironmore, know how to live me.
Sorted summer clothes, some in to pile for re-homing and others moved to spare wardrobe, then saw forecast for hot weather returning :rotfl:
Our fast lasts until 12pm, sat down to lunch at 12.01!
Usual place where I pick up Lu’s horse carrots didn’t have any so emergency stop at roadside stall meant girlie could still have her tea.
The return of GBBO.0 -
1. Great session at CrossFit this morning: weighted pull ups, rowing, dumbell snatches and 400m runs. Am sore, but pleasantly so. My gear is a bit soggy from the rain though! Oh, and a colleague (who also goes to CF) says I'm looking fitter. Yay!
2. Lovely free, organic coffee at work. Just feeling grateful for it today!
3. Looking forward to leftover chilli, rice and sliced green beans for lunch.
4. Seeing my friend tonight. Haven't seen her in months (maybe a year!) but she's moving to Asia for 6 months next week so making the effort. Such an occasion also commands WINE!
5. Looking forward to winter. Log delivery comes tomorrow. Can't wait for lots of snuggly evenings in front of the roaring fire0
