    Wednesday pleasures

Time on my own again:rotfl: as DH & DSis went to the Tip again & also to W*ckes to pick up slabs for shed base :T

CS open - so I dropped off suitcase full of children’s books & other bits & bobs + had a nice chat with a new volunteer :)

Sneaky pint in the pub by the dock - watching Dragon Boaters practising & the young crested grebe diving - they really can stay under a long time :rotfl:

No sunshine although still quite warm :D but still not a drop of rain :(

Snorkers, tomatoes, mash & baked beans for dinner with lo crumble & custard for DH:D

Sitting in the garden with a beer & reading various ‘threads’ just waiting for the bat to put in an appearance.

The space for the new shed is coming along nicely thanks to the hard work of DH & DSis :rotfl: I just keep them supplied with tea/coffee/cold drinks :rotfl: No manual labour for me :rotfl:

Mrs SD please send DH and DSis to us at the weekend, as we will be putting up our new shed. We have volunteers, but I just know it is going to be like a Chuckle Brothers Lookalike Convention. :rotfl:

    Wednesday

    1. Student fell downstairs. Ambulance called. Only bruising.:)

    2. DH had to cook tea as I was late home. :j

    3. Incredibles 2, with 2 for 1 tickets. Loved it! :D

    4. DS2 has sent photos of where he is staying. Looks lovely.

    5. Rescued stuff from being thrown away.

    Have a lovely day :)

    1. DS1 is still ok. Had some down moments but generally much happier and smiling.
He went to my sister's for tea and had a couple of drinks so stayed the night as did his other cousin.
He didn't say no outright to counselling so will suggest again in a day or so. He has to mull these things over a bit.

    2. Managing to stay awake at work. Especially pleased didn't fall asleep during an incredibly boring meeting on Tuesday.

    3. When I was messaging DS1, while waiting at the bus stop, a girl very kindly told me my bus was coming.

    4. Support of family and friends.

    5. DH friend is fingers crossed due for his heart surgery today. He is a priority so shouldn't be cancelled.

Thanks - it's coronary rehab for OH, he had 3 stents about 3 weeks ago - and being self employed had to get back into work and stress etc almost straightaway, not ideal but he's getting there!

Looking forward to DS and her Bf coming this weekend :)

Seeing her graduation photos from last year coming up as a Facebook memory - was a lovely day :).

Mini trip away planned for August with sisters :j

I appreciated it being slightly cooler yesterday - could use a bit of rain though!!

Planning another day trip to the sea with OH very soon :)

    Wednesday pleasures,

DSIL’s operation took longer than anticipated but went well.

Little dog had a pamper session with my friend in her mobile grooming van, apart from a slight meltdown in the middle ( she hates the hairdryer) she was well behaved and is now much cooler.

Felt under the weather all day so the pleasure of a nap on the sofa.

Had a chat with DN about her Mum, she was so relieved.

    Watched WDYTYA with Lee Mack.
  • Forgot a Wednesday pleasure - DH received his £100 cheque for his ‘recommendation’ re the neighbour’s new windows & doors :T

  • I read that as High Kicks and Boys Own! My eyes, theys be no good now!

V Had another round of snorker dogs last eve. In butter rolls! Fab was also lollied as well!

4 Lunch in the packed box today we have another bacon and leek egg custard tart, with smoked wood of apple cheese. Salad and the last of the mouse never to buy again, it was on offer, so no change! Also as we ares out of rocky biscuits, two lime cakes not of Jaffa!

3 Just checking on the new cloths we has running through the mill and the swiss one. More news later!

2 No high kicks inn the gym with BoP though, just trudge and grudge! Thats hows BoP stays beach ready! Done proper and good for you!

Having another one today again. Someone at mill has bought wheel barrow electric bike. Urban Arrow Thing. No, wheel barrow is what yous dad tossed you around in when you were a bart on the lawn and tipped you out. This thing can drag you along the road and twenty miles an hour. I no think it will end the same as tossed out on the border of roses!

    If inclusion means exclusion?

Art'noon. Procrastinating from cleaning the bathroom, which is procrastinating from wrestling with SPSS (software package)

Lainey - glad the op went well

  • Avoiding packing any more BOXES!!! am hiding!!!

    1) Maisie dog has been fine today despite spending all yesterday at the vet for a split nail and being heavily sedated, slight upset tum but that's all thank goodness.

    2) Started excavating the depths of the big freezer and shedding the old stuff from the bottom...never again will I have a chest freezer!

    3) Another shelf cleared from the kitchen and the table mats, table protector, preserving equipment and hot water bottles are all packed and away.

    4) He Who Knows took an enormous load to the tip (not mine but his from the garage).

    5) We, our purchaser and the folk we're buying from can all do the 29th August and now, because He Who Knows spoke to the manager so can the removals company here for us! looks like the day then!
