  • Had a bit of a stressful day on Monday which definitely stress tested OH's stents, thankfully he's fine and feeling better everyday, and taking positive steps to cut out stress-causing bits of job! :j

Lovely morning yesterday taming path at side of house which was beginning to make Sleeping Beauty's Palace look neat and well-tended :rotfl:, this also included an hour [STRIKE]gossiping[/STRIKE] having a very important conversation about important matters with my neighbour :p:rotfl::rotfl: which did me the power of good and helped me unwind

The courgette glut is wonderful but slightly overwhelming as I've got 3 plants this year

The magpie sat on the aerial having a spat with the parents of the starlings nesting in the gutter was entertaining if noisy!

Stirred my compost and it's beginning - jut beginning - to look like compost, a year after I bought the bin and after having emptied it out, mixed it up and put it back in twice! The drought may be helping, as I think in general I put too many grass clippings in and it goes slimy
  • HC Makes sures that the rehab is booked!
    DD Don't wash the car!

V Blinding gym last night and my beach body is ready for the trip up norff! Viewing details to follow in the usual BoP live events. Mind you it was funny watching BoPsie on the jack in the box thingy! I would do pictures, but the thought will do for now! Steels Corner House will be visited!

4 Talking of thoughts, BoPise and her eyesight is failing badly these days. Yesterday in the time it takes BoPsie to do wummin things in the shower, BoP sits, shaves and showers, feeds raffles, gets breakfest, and dresses to his vest, socks and kegs! Well yesterday when standing up and un-hooking, I found that my neatly pressed and folded Y Fronts were packed inside out. Not a problem when you sit, but not so funny with the whip hand!

3 Lunch box today is full of goodness. Salad, tangerine, two rocky’s, egg bacon custard tart. Sour grapes again today as well. Good for you. Last night we had salad and snorker dogs. Seem to have a bag load of snorker dogs this weak!

2 Just checked out academia for you and that great cheat sheet institution in Suffolk has cajoled up nonsense again! Talk is that the cod liver oil put on that spoon from nana is no good for you. Think BoP, think balanced and proper foods as well. How do you think I keep beach ready?

Having a right one today. Just glecked eyes on Aston martins flying car concept. Iteresting how every concept today has to have the canard wing attached! This since them Swedes did the Viggen in the 60’s. it will remain a concept, just like the …
Just make sure you get all your BoPiness everyday only here!

Always endeavour to do new things every day, remember amateurs built The Ark, and who built the Titanic?
  • Good news. Sir Cliff has won his case against the regressive TV Tax Collectors!

Do you remember when sir cliff looked perpetually young - this case has aged him quickly :(

Best wishes to DSIL lainey. HC good news re the stents...

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. woke up in a right mood. Dunno why. So did a quick clean on ICT house and left soon as. I think i was in a 'don't want to stay, don't want to go' kind of mood. Was better once I got home after a reasonable journey
    2. Despite being rather laden down I enjoyed my walk home from the station. had also done a quick jaunt to the sea on my way to catch the train, so today's exercise was done without too much hassle
    3. Met OH off his train and we went and did shopping. Sometimes i just need someone else to think about it as well
    4. OH cooked steak and chips for tea (I know - I said I was off meat..., but it was delicious)
    5. Watched Long Lost Family.

Have a good day all - hopefully out later for DD's birthday. if she doesn't get home in time from her day out in London with her friend then it will be pressies, cake and fizz tonight and out tomorrow.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    My 5 pleasures today:

    1. Drove to the next town and had a lovely afternoon mooching around and taking my time. On holiday from work (and life in general) so was lovely to have the time to relax
    2. Lunch al fresco by myself. Not something I often do, lunch was ok, company questionable :rotfl:

    3. Discovered that ordering a pot of tea works out better value than coffee. Get more than one cup per pot so I can make it last. That and a lot of places around here are generous enough to provide water where you can help yoursef rather than having to ask. So a pot of tea and glass of water do quite well for me.
    4. Charity shop shopping gave me a nice pair of work trousers and long floaty skirt, both excellent condition for £1.95 each
    5. Great petrol mileage on my car driving around here. Averaging 60mpg, I get 40-50mpg in my town due to the duel carriage ways and roundabouts everywhere!
  • 1) My new glasses arrived today and the optician is in the village so I'm wearing them now!

    2) The estate agent rang at lunchtime to suggest a date of 15th August for the move.

    3) Waking up very early this morning and getting up in the 'clean air' part of the day.

    4) YS apple pie in the Co Op.

    5) NOT picking the blackberries today as I've got a willing recipient for them tomorrow evening...Hoorah!

    Hello.
Another wet start but got very hot and humid by lunchtime. I was still dressed for wet.

Nice chat with DD1. Always a nice way to start my day.

Nice doggy walk with Mr H and his old lady friend and her daddy today.

Popped up to hairdresser . They were offering a free cut for training purposes. I'd messaged back and forth yesterday but was out in Glasgow so popped in thus morning. Yes what they needed could be done on my hair and went back in at 11.15am...may have kept about 1.45pm...however, it's exactly how I wanted it. I'm back in on Friday for a colour as had a that already booked. So hope that may be a bit cheaper? Every snip was carefully done and reasoned with and all supervised by my hairdresser .

Then took DD2 ( who had patiently sat and watched) down to college to sort something out. Was able to eave the car there as its holidays and walked down into town ( which meant a walk back up hill! ) all roads lead downhill into our town but back up on way out!

Had a mooch around a few charity shops. Got a dress and a top and a pair of cropped jeans for me and a pair of shirts for GN.

Met the friend who opened her heart to me on Sunday and told me the HUGEST thing ever! Said she didn't know why she had but felt better for it ( maybe you do but I don't!) anyway....

Back up the hill to the very hot car. Glad to get home and wear slightly less.

I need to do a bit if baking tonight.

    Pleasures for today (Wednesday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Hens OK.

    3) Went to see my great aunty's friends (who had come to see my parents). Great Aunty is now a widow and not really looking after herself so one of these friends is her university friend (so equally old but making 400 mile round trips to look after her!) I'm not sure what will happen in the end.

    4) Had some courgettes from dad and a jar of honey from my brother.

    5) Dropped bigger son off in carpet town and did a quick look round the charity shops but didn't find anything.

    6) Continued the tidy up before the electrician (and my classmate from decades ago!) arrives in the morning.

    7) Tasty meals today: avocado and scrambled eggs for breakfast, hummus and celery for lunch then I made lots of Bolognese sauce which we had with butternut squash noodles/spaghetti for tea and it made 3 lasagnes for the freezer.

    8) Went for a walk in the local forest.

    9) Just watched 24 Hours in A and E and will watch Gardener's World in a minute.
