Pleasures for today (Tuesday).
1) Have lost another 3lbs. That's 11 stones 12 now, down from 13 stones 6.
2) Went to work a.m.
3) Hen OK. Mash ordered for the new ones, as it will be all they have ever eaten.
4) Went to see my school friend for a cup of tea.
5) Popped to carpet town to pick up bigger son and had a swift trip round Sainsburys while I was there.
6) Just watched Holby City.0 -
1 Spent the day at DF’s preparing to sell, his best mate came over and we chatted away, we discussed how the passing of one person has left both him and us both now moving on. Neither or us are looking to move quickly but we will be moving.
2 We went out for the evening to a volunteer group which was nice.
3 The animals have a lot of energy.
4 Scary amounts to do before it gets on the market and only a very short while to do it so making lists of what needs doing.
5 Nice to be home.0 -
Tuesday pleasures,
Topped my car up with petrol, not really a pleasure as prices have shot up but did remember to use a voucher for double Nectar points.
Into Uni City for haircut, Capt S came along and went book shopping whilst I was being seen to, kindly found me an Elizabeth George book. We managed to resist the gelato kiosk and headed home for our salad lunch.
Afternoon in the garden, think the woodpeckers have babies in one of the beech trees.
Carrot and cashew burgers with bean mash for tea.
Early night to read in bed.0 -
Morning all -well done on the weightloss, Frith
Pleasures since SUnday
1. Went to London to meet school friends. Had a lovely day, just mainly eating and chatting. Good journeys both way - quite a bit longer on a SUnday so had time to work.
2. Have been on a course for two days learning SPSS (statistics). When I did my undergraduate dissertation (1988), I had to do all that by hand, now it's a couple of clicks... Was enjoyable and useful though
3. Good walks to and from station - such an easy way to pack the exercise in.
4. But DS picked me up yesterday from our local station and i could nip and get some shopping. Probably saved me an hour
5. OH cooked a yummy chicken thing on Monday, and i dragged a spiced beef casserole out of the freezer for yesterday. Minimal cooking required, on my part :T And I have hit my goal weight - but have decided to go for another 4lb.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
:j Frith & VJsmum - congrats on the weight loss :j

V Chicken Roulette last nite was hot. Every drop was gone, well lapped up! Strawberries and dark proper chocolate ice-cream was also wolfed down. Cocoa was enjoyed later. Proper cocoa in Bourneville tin!
4 As for that, tonight I shall not only be flexing and trimming the puppy fat at the gym, but also tossing off as well. Pancakes in freshly squeezed lemon, tossed with strawberries and chocolate ice cream! Again proper foods. At the mill at the top workhouse, we is havings a BBQ today. Snorker rolls! Proper foods again!
3 Mouth watering. Any how, yesterday was flea squirt time for Raffles. Yes, we are the fools who pay his veterinary fees! He was cornered inn the lounge and one squirt. He bolted. BoPsie is recovering! He enjoyed his salmon tray this morning!

1) A trip to Beaulieu as we had a ticket that will let us in free and what a day it was too, beautiful weather, the cars are great and the house gardens and abbey are gorgeous.
2) Lovely walk with my Cookie dog when I got back, stuck to the lanes and footpaths so she got some shade to walk in, it's 27 degrees out there!
3) Got the first of the book cases cleared and down off the wall ( purchaser doesn't want them) and it will fit in the car when it's dismantled and go to Nell.

Busy start to the day.
Lovely walk first thing just me and Haggis.
Then had to drive into town to try & get a blooming appointment at GP. The appointments for today are only available today. By the time you get through on the very busy phoneline they've gone. So we went down and waited with the queue of other people on it opening at 8.30am . DD got an appointment for kater in the morning.
I caught up on emails whilst I waited.
Had a very nice cheese scone .
Had a mooch around charity shops whilst we had time to fill. One was £3 for 4 things. Got a nice long skirt, a(nother) stripes jumper. DD got a pair of white trousers and a big jumper dress.
Then down to next big town and a few holiday essentials for DD2 & stuff to take to DD1 , she's off to Melbourne next week.
Took her on a mystery tour and we went to beach. Had a walk and then just sat . Tide was so far out. Sand was gloriously warm.
On way home got a call to say Haggis had cut his paws in river. So picked him up , drove to vets, one hour and a load of money later! One very sad dog with 2 bandaged paws and a cone of shame!
Just tried to walk him but he just sat down and refused to walk any further than pavement side of garden. Wee soul. I'm going to sleep on sofa just to check he's okay. Back to vets on Friday.
Didn't quite get everything done that I'd intended but it can wait!0 -
