thanks @happycas you'll be pleased to hear I've improved things by

    1. ensuring i catch the 6:15 bus home mon to wed and fri, and the 5:15 thur cos that's choir night so am going home for supper before and no work Sundays (used to work till 7 and sometimes after supper and Sunday afternoon - what was i thinking?!
    2. no screen time for an hour before bed (might make an exception tonight cos half way through series 2 of hidden assets but defo no emails!)
    3. spending that hour listening to the radio and / or reading my book (depending on whether radio is music or word - reading Wendy H Jones whose murders are set in Dundee - one murder was in carpark 3 of Ninewells (the hospital where i'm based)
    4. aiming at 3 things off my list a day - anything more is a bonus
    5. taking breaks during the day - even went for a run on Wednesday with colleagues then a lovely shower

the result is after 2 weeks i'm starting to have better nights and (drum roll please) despite less hours in work i'm being more productive. i'm going to leave those 5 for now as my 5 :-) consultation period over at work, voluntary redundancy open then it moves to compulsory redundancy - whatever will be will be

    For Friday:

Up early…another list written and ticked off…message plumber, message accountant, call vets and order prescription…they texted within an hour to say it was ready so picked that up later. Fifteen minutes of garage time done.

Walked round to DD2 and we went to beach town. They were going to a baby class and I was going charity shopping! I got a lovely linen dress. Two beautiful wood turned toadstools…and when I got to the till the lady in front had one too…and the shop lady was a bit gobsmacked as she said they’d been on the shelf for ages! Anyway they have a new home at the caravan where my decor is all woodland/country. I also got two wooly jumpers which were half price this weekend.

And home…grabbed a dog and my pre packed bags and off we went to CP. Lovely walk and then sat for an hour, started a new book. Then went over for a swim at 4pm…and came out at 5.50pm…I may have been chatting ( whilst swimming) with a caravan friend.

Had some pizza and salad for tea ( and had the rest for my lunch today)

And just sat and read all evening.

Actually a decent sleep by caravan standards and woke up just after 5am. Fed doggy then went for my sunrise walk by myself then came back and took him a walk. Went back to bed and read and then went for my swim…now it was not very warm this morning but surprisingly the pool felt pleasantly warm ( it doesn’t always) four of us in chatting as we swam…think we are all aware we just have another few weeks left!

Hot shower and a pain au chocolat for breakfast and sat and finished my book. An easy read and a happy ending!

And home because I’m supposed to be hosting dinner but someone’s not well. Had I just done the shop before I was texted? Yes I had! So I’m it sure what’s happening now! Sigh!
As I would just have stayed where I was and not bought food!

Anyway… washing out and almost dry though it’s not at all warm.

A bit of garden tidy up done…wrestling the sweet peas into the garden bin which is really full already.

Popped round to see a friend on my way back from supermarket to see how she was doing.
