Up early.
Went out about 8.15am and had a quick swim and then hot shower and then home.
Hung out a washing which had a couple of rinses on the line with rain.
Popped round to see The Baby and her Mama for an hour ( at their request…I don’t just turn up) and met friend on the walk back so had a nice chat.
And then out to work this evening. Meeting a family.5 -
Rubbish night with a sicky dog.
Out early to go to GP with DD2Home and had a work zoom meeting.
Then back round to DD2 then home!
Then had a snoozette ( needed after my disturbed night)
And then sitting at the table writing and writing. Most of it done and will finish in the morning.
Chat to friend.
It’s dull and dismal like a winter night . Absolutely pouring rain.

Morning all.
Yikes, it's hot hot again as opposed to just hot. Top end of bearable but I think probably hotter further south. I like January!!!
Recent pleasures|:
- Few days away with brother and SIL, a big pleasure as always. The forecast rain didn't materialise, it was sunny and warm but very windy on the first day. Lots of chatting and laughing and catching up, we all love our weekends away together. Very lucky. Next time our other brother and SIL will be joiming us for a few days away too.
- Always a pleasure to come home and settle back into 'real life' again.
- Back into the routine of lunchtime walks with my lad, good to catch up with him. Also helps my leg which is still swollen but feels better after a walk.
- Middle grandson has got himself a summer job in a nearby factory. He is on the 2-10pm shift and has done two days so far, complained his feet hurt but otherwise so far so good.
- A lovely easy day today pootling and pottering. A lunchtime walk but otherwise pootling and pottering, two things I do best.
Have a good day whatever you are up to.

Zoomed down for a swim. Not the warmest of days but once you’re in , you’re in! Good chatter today.Zoom home. Hello dog would you like an early lunch? It seems he would.
Back out again…multitasking and chatting to sister as I walked to DD2. Chat with DD1 whilst there.
Then it was off out to hospital. Had lunch first and then appointment.
And came out and it was raining.
Home to mine. Baby cuddles. DD2 got a wee nap, then it was bath-time ( in the sink) and jammies on and a bedtime story…then they left for home. And before I knew it was 9pm!

For the last few days,
Another heatwave culminating in 34 degrees yesterday afternoon, humans and animals trying to stay as cool as possible.
But it’s summer! The Swifts are screeching as they race around the cottage and then head for their nest under the eaves at breakneck speed.
A big dragon fly hunting for insects around the apple tree.
Oh the bliss of air-con in the car.
My big girl was brought in early and sponged down with cool lavender water. Left happy with a big pile of haylage.
C dog found a cool spot on the wooden floor in direct line of an open window and snoozed her day away.
The most beautiful full moon and crystals left out to recharge.
