I’ll roll all my pleasures into yesterday. A lovely day spent at the beach with OH, his sister and niece. A proper old style seaside day, sunshine ☀️ beach hut, ice creams, picnic, boules on the beach and lots of swimming and cooling off in the sea. All just a few minutes drive from our lovely new home 😊

Paulie - that does indeed sound like a perfect day to me. Just needs fish and chips to make it complete x

it’s Clacton pier. Our beach is the Holland on Sea side, so much quieter.
I forgot to say we got fish and chips on the way home 🤣
Popped along to the Walton on Naze kite festival this morning. Much too busy for us so just stopped for coffee and cake 🤣
have a good Sunday everyone 😊

You have to have fish and chips on a seaside day. It's the law!

Our day started with rain which is so needed by the gardens and then by mid morning had cleared up.
This is usually our stay at caravan day/night but I have a sore dog so we stayed at home. I can easily chill at the caravan but not so much here! So I wrote a list and then wrote a further list and ticked everything off…
So for today…downstairs loo cleaned, downstairs hoovered and floors washed. Inside of front door and porch cleaned and changed the doormats ( a bunny from Easter was still saying welcome) tidied the understair cupboard…and then put the car seat dog covers back on that I’d had to move for car seat when I was doing all the baby driving. Put ladders back in the garage and a high chair a friend had brought over for me a couple of weeks ago. Tidy one drawer turned into all three drawers of sideboard and the cupboards below being tidied. Tidied office. Recycled stuff. Had a pile for DD2. Put bag of plastic bag recycling in car for next time I’m at supermarket.Walked round to see The Baby about 11.15am and was back home around 12.30pm…via supermarket for poly pockets. Took The Pile with me for DD2…she has a pile for me but I was walking! Walked home the long way, quick chat with a neighbour who was out walking her dog.
Filled the pockets with service for Friday and put them in the new folder. And then put them in my new to me Cath Kidston bag from Vinted…and yes it does indeed fit an A4 folder.
and packed bag for working tomorrow.Every time I was in the garden with the doggy I pulled some weeds.
My 20p RTC passiflora has flowered! All it needed was a blooming good drink and a bit of love!
Got a free trial and then a further free trial to watch Outlander final series so have been watching back and forth in between chores.
Had toast and tomato for my tea.
And a chat to friend on phone.
And now on my bed for the night which is also known as a sofa! Watching the start of sunset. Dog in his crate.7 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1)Not a bad sleep.
2) Met my brother halfway and he took smaller son to cricket.
3) Went to Waitrose and had poached eggs in the cafe.
4) Back home, today was the first time since moving here that someone else has cared for smaller son. So I wrapped his birthday presents then cleaned every centimetre of his room including all the drawers! Changed bed, hoovered. It took just over 2 hours.
5) Moved here 3 years ago today.
6) Cooked a tasty tea.

Aww cute photo Frith.
Happycas ouchy to the dentist, my brother has just had the equivalent work done equalling quite a nice new car in price.
The weekend has flown we travelled to MILs on Friday and helped her sort a few life admin things, pre-paid for a funeral plan and bits and bobs.
The vet phoned us late at night and we agreed the way forward with Rhubarb, his meds start tomorrow.
For today, I cleaned some more of the van and started loading up.
For tonight, I was going through stocks and I found tinned “spam” so it gets tried as tonight’s dinner, it did not spark any memories I’m sure I had it as a child but I can’t remember if I liked it, but I'm sure I don’t now..

For yesterday,
Another one who woke up to rain and we had a nice downpour during the morning, saved me lugging the watering cans around!
Caught up on all things Ambridge, shame about F&H ☹️
Weather had improved so pottered around in the garden, weeding & deadheading plus fed the toms etc.
Over to see my horse, she’d obviously enjoyed a good roll in the lovely damp earth and come in filthy!
A ham hock had been cooking in the SC, so shredded some up and we had that with new pots & veg. Lazed around for rest of day.
Extra pleasure as it’s been a year since C dog arrived on the happy bus 🚌 and how much joy has she brought to our lives bless her.

For last couple of days
Good Saturday it was quiet but did tidy the front garden and drive. It looks much better but pots really could do with new plants in them.
Had quick chat with a neighbour.
Listening to the girls next door having a great time in the garden.
On Sunday DS2 and granddaughter came over which was lovely. She can now roll over onto her front and then gets stuck.
We had some rain - not enough to do much good but first for a long time.
