D4V, I wonder what those search results bought back 😊 occasionally we have one arrive and their fur pattern on their head resembles horns for a while, que lots of me searching for a good enough photo..
Or of course
We’ve had the blood test results, and they were not as bad as anticipated I will that win… The last lot of bloods we had taken resulted in the ferret being PTS when the tests came in so we were antsy. Sadly, thou it points to something else which also takes them at speed talk about no win eh! The vet is looking into the best maintenance meds we can do. In the meantime, he is doing well, I do think making them feel extra special helps and if love could keep them going!
Scrambled egg on toast this morning, I was checking how the dehydrated egg powder rehydrated to, cooked up and there’s no difference I am pleasantly surprised.
A lot of caravan cleaning, hi ho hi ho..
We needed some bits and bobs, well for that read most things were needed so popped across the bridge, cheap shops tackled, fuelled the car at C0stco and popped in, hmm we shopped very carefully.
Watching the dragon flies in the evening, such amazing critters.

For yesterday,
Made a loaf and got a few jobs done first thing.
Visited the f&v stall plus cheese stall at the Wednesday market, into the GC for more compost and found two Salvias in the bargain bin. Also a scented Pelargonium, oh and climber for the back wall near the dining room window 🙈 Not a NSD then!
Home, got all the plants settled in to new home by which time it had got quite warm.
Stuck a Bolognese type sauce in SC and headed off to the yard to see my girl.
Easy tea of said meaty sauce with pasta, nice & soft as patient still has sore mouth, oh and more ice cream of course!

For yesterday
Spoke to a couple of people on way to bus stop
Got through day at work- Wednesday is a horrible day as people can’t be bothered to work and leave it to me it’s not fair on patients for me to do nothing
Leaving work for the day. It felt good to walk out the doors
Said hello to someone on the bus whose smile always cheers me up. He always smiles even after doing 12hour nights.
DH bought sushi which we ate in the garden and we were watching a goldcrest in the trees and then the gren woodpecker again

Currently in London which is warm but we have missed the heatwave. We are staying in University Rooms, £110 per night for a twin room in Gower Street with wifi (though a paucity of sockets - we've only found 2 in the whole room, both my side), shared toilet facilities (2 good showers between 6 rooms, 3 loos and a bath) and a shared kitchen (microwave, toaster, kettle, 2 fridges, 2 freezers, cooker though only 1 frying pan re. actual cooking) just in case anyone is interested. No breakfast, though other University Rooms do.
- Pleasant journey down (we had got an early deal on 1st class) - dd2 and her fiance got an early flight from Edinburgh but they needed to be here for the work day to start
- Amazing drop in traffic - well done London! We met them in Waterstones (Dillons in my day) for a cuppa then went onto a very nice italian restaurant (mum's treat, thanks mum) - we bought cereal and milk on the way back
- After a good night's sleep we breakfasted in the kitchen then headed off for Warrington Street station for a London Walks tour of Little Venice - totally recommend
- Lunch in a listed pub with 'snob screens' - we had the English Breakfast and quite honestly could have had 1 between the 2 of us (we both had to leave some which is not my way at all)
- then a canal boat ride to Camden, a cuppa at Camden market, a wander back through Regent's Park (where we stopped for another cuppa), and 'home' via the supermarket where we picked up salad and scotch eggs for supper.
Today we go to the Wigmore lunchtime concert.

back now via MrT to replenish our milk and cold meat for tonight's salad / tomorrow's sarnies (we are going up to Gloucester 2nd class!)

Bedtime! Came up to bed early for a wee change as I want to be out early in the morning.
Anyway for Thursday.Up early.
Chat with DD1.Out to supermarket for a few things. Dropped off a Vinted parcel ( woohoo a whole £1.50 ) and then waited for pharmacy to open. Three different chats with three different people I know.
Walked up to DD2 to drop off something from pharmacy ( quicker than driving round) and rewarded with a little squish with The Baby and a nappy change 😆
Chat to the lesser spotted son. Quite a chatty chat and a decent line for a change, often I can hardly hear him and have to repeat myself!
So all the children have been spoken to with today.
Then no more procrastinating…work! So sat and did that. Couple of calls to make to ascertain things. Got a bit of writing done…selling myself! Going down a new avenue and a bit of rebranding. I have till a self imposed deadline of tomorrow!
Quick chat to sister. Sat in garden. Ate pineapple for lunch. Watched the bees a buzzing. Had a teeny tiny doze. It was nice warm , not hot.
Back in to work for a wee while and then walked to DD2 and we took The Baby a walk. Met a couple more lots of people. Then it was time to walk home and go feed the dog!
Had a RTC curry for tea.
Sent back to work emails. Needs must!
And an oooh I wish I was swimming and walking! But my doggy needed a rest day. See how he is tomorrow. Might just need to nip down myself for a swim.7 -
We dropped the car off at the garage, and a lovely long walk back with Rhubarb and Hershey they loved it.
While DH walked back to collect it, I got on and dragged the house into vague shape, the place is hoovered, mopped and washing loads in, out etc.
Leftovers for lunch, and a very brief snoozette.
Wandered around my "off the road" car removing most of a tree shedding on it - it needs a lot of cleaning but not today.

Good morning. And a lovely morning it is! But we really could do with some rain now. And why does our council still send men to cut the grass verges when there's no grass to cut? Just dry stalks and dusty soil!
Recently.
The Andrea Bocelli large cinema screening was a great afternoon out. Castle Howard makes a great backdrop ( it was to one side actually but very beautiful). The sun shone, the picnic was good and the mini cans of rose a perfect treat ( who knew you could get wine in cans? No glass allowed on the grass) An excellent Mother's Day gift.
Took oldest DGD for coffee and cake. It's almost exactly a year since her last operation and it's so great to have her back to her bubbly self. She's started going to university open days and asked if I'd go with her to York. Absolutely. I'd love to!
DD's friend has gone on holiday leaving her in charge of his allotment. I went along with her last night to water and weed and came back with a bag full of lovely fresh veg. We'll be there every other day for a fortnight so I foresee some healthy eating!
Otherwise life is plodding on as normal - I'm delighted to say.
Happy Friday everyone

Morning all and Friday again, they whizz round.
Some lovely memories conjured up today. Concerts at Wigmore Hall and afternoon tea at the Wallace Collection (one of my favourite places) in my younger days living in London - had a flat share in SW7 straight from uni and my bedroom window looked out on to the Albert Hall, lovely days. And when we moved back up north, picnics and outdoor concerts at Castle Howard, fireworks over the lake and lots of waving of flags at the Last Night of the Proms concerts, Bryan Ferry and Jools Holland. Ahhh, memories….
Some other pleasures:
- Yes, the garden is very dry, but these cooler and warm rather than hot sunny days are a delight. Of course rain is finally forecast for Sunday when we are away for a few days with brother and SIL!!
- In a lovely relaxed summer routine now. No clock watching as no school pick ups, everyone here is in holiday mode. Doors to the garden flung open, lazy meals in the garden, minimal housework, reading in a shady spot, bliss!
- Lunch out and to the latest Minions film (surprisingly very good) with little fella yesterday. He was demonstrating how his (broken) arm is now better in the play area. Eeek!! Think he's forgotten it's still got two metal rods in it for another six months yet but a big pleasure that it's mended enough for him to treat it normally.
- A lovely cool evening walk later on to stretch our legs. My foot and lower leg are still very swollen from the cellulitis which is still niggling around so long periods of sitting -as in the cinema - don't do it any favours. Felt much better when we got back from our walk but of course it swells up again overnight. It's on the mend but very slowly.
- A very non-MSE hour at the dentist, he explained I can either have a (still expensive) temporary fix or go the whole hog with implants and heaven knows what. Hate teeth problems and the work he has done already is amazing so six months of faffing and a clearing out of the bank account should do the job. We will never be rich for sure. The pleasure will be when it's done of course.
Right, need to go and sort my packing and get a few morning jobs boxed off. Nothing else urgent today so my pile of books is beckoning, just about to start the latest Maggie O'Farrell.
Have a good day and a lovely weekend all.

Happycas - meant to say how delighted I was to read of your granddaughter's progress, doesn't time fly? So glad she has made a full recovery and is planning to go to Uni. Eldest grandson is just about to start his third year at York and highly recommends the social life! All best wishes to her.
