Love Christmas lights and this display is stunning, seen when coming and going through Exning, Lainey.
Don't know why front of building pic is so blurry and messy when view down side is so sharp.
Umpteen attempts, but it just didn't improve.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

(goes back to picture to examine double jumper) cool i have never seen a double jumper before @ampersand
1) getting time for coffee with 2 colleagues wrong - I was 2 hours too early which meant I was just in time for coffee with DrM and friends lol
2) then coffee at correct time with 2 colleagues which was every bit as enjoyable (I didn't tell them about my error!)
3) children out so just me and mum for tea though cooked enough for children in case they reappeared - christmas dinner take 2
4) then ds and gf arrived back from day in Aberdeen so they had christmas dinner take 2 then I flamed the pud (ds's gf is from china and it is a highlight for her but we were all too stuffed after christmas dinner take 1) - i didn't put enough brandy on and it went fut so then i put too much brandy on and ended up having to put a damp tea-towel over it!
5) and now i've bade them goodnight and listening to Ramblings - Camino Memories in Penicuik - BBC Sounds20*25 for 2025: 489 / 5006 -

For yesterday,
Waking up to the pleasurable knowledge that England had won the latest test although bizarre decision to play Carse at 3! Just pleased that DB & DN won’t be facing the possibility of a whitewash in the Sydney test.
Filled up the bird seeders, now that the apple tree has lost all its leaves you can see an old nest in its boughs, quite a big one so maybe Percy pigeon and his missus.
The broad beans are coming on well, am hoping for an early crop next year.
At the yard, the wind made it bitterly cold out in the paddocks but girlie was warm in her rug although keen to come in. Got her settled and had a chat with my neighbour, a young lad who works on one of the racing yards. It’s a tough life and he’s recently moved yards due to some pretty awful treatment by the trainer that simply wouldn’t be tolerated in other industries ☹️The Yule candles were lit when I got home and all was cosy in our cottage, I do like these In between days.5 -
Dd: 'conjoined' is the adjective repeatedly used.😁
1. Today's HC address easily+obviously related Herod, Octavian et al to Musk, Putin, Trumpanzee, Epstein currently. Thanked K, who said it was really difficult to keep it untargeted/apolitical when so much just leapt out.
2. Only 3 No More Books today.😁
3. Visited friend, to give more candles and mulled wine bottles+collect donation bag for Nexus. Lovely cup of green tea and delicious rtc passion fruit+raspberry tarts, which we naturally counted as 2 of our 5-a-day.🤗😋
4. Sorted wool for crochet radishes pattern, as one does, when 4 hungry crochet guinea pigs are waiting for them.😁 All to Oxford friends this week...at last.🥴
5. Final slow cooker portion of yummy all sorts casserole and own hg potatoes.🙂 But, oh dear! 🤔who ate the last 3 Lily O'Brien chocs & thought were still in their box.....??? Blameless, moi,🙂↔️😇😁CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Hello. Have just switched off the heating and came to bed.For yesterday… a quiet day after an unsettled doggy night. Slept on sofa till 4am. Sick!Girls headed up to city for the day so I had a nice quiet day to myself. Lengthy chat to friend on phone.Enjoyed some fruit.Today up early but came back to bed for a wee while. Then we went to CP and had a shorter than normal walk.
The Niecelys came over for an hour or so.Then I cooked an early NY dinner as my guests leave here tomorrow. So it was steak pie, potatoes, carrot and turnip mash, cauliflower cheese. We used up our leftover crackers that had trivia/ jokes/ true or false questions.Followed by a lie on sofa! DD1 loaded the dishwasher and then I washed down the worktops and emptied bin.7 -
Today's mse pleasures
1) having the car (albeit briefly) - dropped DS's gf off at station as she needs to get home for work tomorrow
2) over to st andrews via leuchars to pick up dd2's fiance - lovely long walk along the west sands
3) Toppings - only 2 No More Books today @am@ampersand 😁
4) home for mince round from the butcher - yum - and a video call to dd1 - what a blessing that is - all too soon time for them to go back to edinburgh (with the car) but absolutely lovely to see them
5) meet up with DrM and MrG for the Spurs match and now I'm in bed watching CTMW. Very cosy.20*25 for 2025: 489 / 5004 -

For yesterday,
Up early and prepping a chilli for the slow cooker as we had visitors for the day.
Capt S whizzed around with the hoover while I prepped other food.
Family arrived and lovely to spend time with them, two DN’s and their fellas plus DSIL with hers. C dog went from person to person getting cuddles & fuss, she really is a very sociable dog. Food all eaten and enjoyed.
All but eldest DN and her hubbie left, then we did a Rune reading for her and had a good chat.
The clear up is never a pleasure but soon done and then a well deserved lounge on the sofa.5 -
Up early this morning.Dropped off two travellers who are on the next step of their journey. Then back to work this morning. Meeting a new family. And home…and hello doggy! He’s not been alone in over a week!De-decorated Christmas. Oh what a lot of space there is! Love to get it up and I’m always ready for it coming back down.
Hoovered upstairs and downstairs. Will do spare room bedding tomorrow. Got all the towels and bath mats washed tonight. Then will be back to just my laundry! And I’ll be having an early night tonight then get started on work in the morning.4
