1. Woke before alarm, then snoozed for a while.
2. Got to work in good time.
3. Home made tuna/pasta salad with radish, tomatoes and mini cucumber was delicious.4. Getting almost 60 mpg from new car
5. hot milk with a drop of baileys before bed.
6. Now on 2 days off.6 -
For yesterday,
The snowdrops are all out, the daffodils have tight green buds on them and the crocuses are coming up at the foot of the old apple tree.
The farmer has started his spring planting so all day there was noisy gangs of seagulls following his tractor.
Capt S was WFH so we had a big bowl of cauliflower cheese soup for lunch.
At the yard, the wind was so cold it was making my eyes water and the beautiful grey one was waiting for me to fetch her in. She munched on her hay net and politely pointed out the spots she wanted itching.
A throwaway remark over tea led to a big discussion about our long term plans, as much as we love the cottage it’s a tad too big for just the two of us so there will be downsizing once beloved retires.4 -
Morning allHad a lovely birthday 🎂 yesterday, spent the morning at Ickworth, lovely rooms and informative guides and a good display of snowdrops. In the afternoon we went to the small local theatre to see Simon Williams and his wife Lucy Fleming read letters and anecdotes from her parents (Ceiia Johnson and Peter Fleming) during the war, very enjoyable. Dinner at the hotel again. Bumped into Simon and Lucy at breakfast 🤣
Off to Lavenham for a wander round before heading home.
have a good day everyone 😊5 -
Oh well, another disappeared post. Quickly &, from emporium carpark.
1. Root canal treatment completed, hooray. Wonderfully done, by the wonderful Sarah, with not a hint of anything since.
2. Final Women's warm-up match last night, Town V Gown at CURUFC before the big Varsity clashes in a couple of weeks. Great fun and many chatty crossings of paths.
3. Very salient service and address at midweek Communion this morning, with friend urgently in need of safe new roof
4. Bag of books donated to emporium bookshelf.
5. Loved my free coffee today and actually bought the bananas I needed.

Dear wee Nancy - the dangerous narcissistic lunacy of your country's mango trumpanzee, Vance, Kennedy et al - Musk and Putin puppeteered - that can walk about with loaded guns, is beyond terrifying. We have to see out 4 years of these psychopaths?
Agree Lainey - it may be darker later, but it's still cold, wet and windy all day today.
Strength, care, and blessings to all right now. Off to feed some seniors their post-training munch tonight. 6 Nations to watch in The Alma over the weekend.🏉👌CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

weenancyinAmerica said:DD - as in the Chinese curse "May you live in interesting times." Think they have put that on my entire country.
1) after letting dog out at 6 slept till 8:45 - as my nan would have said 'must have needed it' and i did feel a lot better
2) good all staff meeting - due to cost cutting awards are being in done in-school with no financial prize and can't help thinking this is much better
3) coffee after and the students had a cake sale so those who wanted a sweet treat could buy their own for a good cause
4) choir after work - practice for both Sunday mass and Sunday evensong - we are doing Sanders responses and RVW Magnificat and Nunc so I am a happy girl
5) then home for supper - rest of the stir fry and a couple of crumpets loaded with marmiteMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Pleasures for Thursday
1. Day off work
2. Slept to 10.00
3. A muddy dog walk but no rain.
4. Watched the Bridget Jones Film
5. Meal with friends after the above.6 -
Have to make sure I don't watch or listen to the news before I try to do anything. I get so depressed by the scum in office here that I stop enjoying the day. I'd wait and watch the news in the evening - but it leads to nightmares. At least we have more elections coming up in two years. I guess I should limit the news to once a week. So I can back to thinking about five pleasures in the day.
1) being able to come on here
2) the spot on my hand was pre-cancerous not cancer
3) I think we are ready for the Book Sale tomorrow
4) Crocheting a scarf for my class
5) Di is walking more - she actually came to the door to hold the cat that tries to get out all of the time when I came home

Sounds lovely PaulieH the beautiful grey one’s current home is not that far from Ickworth and with friends pass we have been to their cafe for lunch.
For yesterday,
Concur with Amps and the weather was a tad dreich but I spent the day with my DB so all good.
Drove to his and caught the P&R into Uni City to watch Concave at the indie cinema, fantastic film and worthy of the hype. It was a silver screening which made us giggle until we realised that we probably do qualify!
The city was very busy and we struggled to find somewhere to eat but ended up in the CK overlooking Kings with Henry VIII watching us munch our wraps.
Also had a catch up with DSIL who was WFH.
Tired in the evening, this country mouse was worn out dealing with the hustle & bustle of the big town and fell asleep on the sofa.6 -
Pretty sure you’re staying in my town Paulie and at the hotel my DGD works at .Im very fond of the local theatreSmall world ,6
