It’s currently snowing. Hopefully not on for the day !Yesterday I had a bit of a lazy start after being up early with doggy . We went back to bed and I was just watching stuff before I realised what the time was. Then started power washing. Did half of the area left then went in for some lunch and then back out until I finished. Looks much better. Moved a few pots around. Then inside to the warmth and a bit of hoovering and bathroom cleaning.Nice chat to friend on phone.DD2 popped in for 10 minutes.Early-ish to bed.5 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Smaller son has always wanted to see a court case so we went today to the Crown Court in floody town. We didn't know what the case was about for the first 15 minutes but it was very sad.
3) Went to see the offices that might be providing smaller son with some training (looked from the outside).
4) Waitrose for a sandwich.
5) Went to the cathedral for a look round.
6) Went to bigger son's to feed his cats.
7) Smaller son has applied for a skills bootcamp to help him get an apprenticeship!!!!!!!! We had to make a quick CV to go with it.5 -

brrrrr it's cold. 5 good things to think back on
1) waking up early and, having sorted out doggy, going back to my nice cosy bed and reading
2) my lovely colleague who brought in a very nice Pakistani cake his wife had cooked
3) my piano lesson - still not perfect on the Chopin, Arne is going well
4) then the library (public) and the reading room upstairs to spend the rest of the 'work day' without internet (they do have it, I just decided i'd get more emails done if noone could find me, in person or online lol)
5) the Irish Stew I made yesterday from ys lamb and a bag of frozen stew veg. just what was needed.
and now I'm just finishing episode 10 of Father Brown then it's back to my cosy bed and book.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For yesterday,
Woke up to a heavy frost so the apple tree was busy with birds on the feeders, including a woodpecker for the first time this year.
Into horsey town for a food shop and a blether with my friend.
Early over to the yard as girlie had the farrier, good news is that he already shoes a couple at the new yard so will still be able to do her.
It was sunny but still so cold and my hands were freezing, I apologised to my girl and then slipped them inside her rug where she was oh so toasty, all horse owners will know that joy.
Tea was meatballs in ratatouille with a piece of the leftover cake from our tea for afters. Uni Challenge tested our little grey cells and then Unforgotten.6 -
Cold, frosty and sunny here 😊. Off to Suffolk later for 2 nights away for my birthday 😊🎂. Will probably stop for light lunch at another small town on the way then dinner tonight in the hotel restaurant which still has it’s water wheel. Hopefully a snowdrop walk at Ickworth in the morning and local theatre in the town tomorrow , so should be a nice birthday.
A bit more sorting and listing at the weekend and 5 more Vinted parcels sent yesterday. Will get there with the decluttering slowly! Friend came round for lunch and a catch up and chocolate cake I made for Valentines.
Have a good day everyone, enjoy the sunshine ☀️ if you’ve got it.6 -
Had a quiet day at home.
Started sanding the table. Will take me forever 😆
