Pleasures for yesterday 

1. 12 hours done 1 more night to go.
2. Shopping done around 3, missed all the school kids in store and not busy.
3. Laughing with colleagues.
4. McFlurry - so good.
5. Got admin completed yesterday.

Hello. 

Slightly better sleep. 

Up early.
i had work this morning someone I know and my doggo was also invited! 

They had bought me a cake so I brought it home and ate it! 

I would usually start writing straight away but I have a lot of work tomorrow that I wanted to concentrate on that first.
Did another chunk of power washing the patio. So that’s the main bit done and just need to do another section ( though might do it in 2 sections) 
Chat to sister. 

Had frittata for tea using leftover gammon.

Pleasures for today (Thursday)

1) Not a bad sleep.

2) A huge clean up now the tiler has gone. I cleaned the bathroom, stairs, all the floors, kitchen window, all the outside doors, 2 glass interior doors, the fridge, surfaces, all woodwork and the porch. And the kitchen cupboard fronts! 

3) Smaller son and I went to Morrisons as I had cleaned for 5 hours. We had an all day breakfast. 

4) Smaller son then cleaned his room. 

5) Finally got round to updating Instagram which is an account about my house. 

Highdays

Hello.

Another cold and grey day, ready for some sunshine now but the forecast for the next week isn't great. Love January but had enough of the dull weather now.

Anyway, some pleasures:

1) Stocked up yesterday on fruit and veg so pineapple and melon chopped up in the fridge for emergency snacks.

2) Had a most enjoyable pamper session while hubby was at his committee meeting.

3) Middle grandson joined us on our lunchtime walk today as he had just finished college for the day. 

4) Had a lovely cuddle with the new baby, she was awake this time and very alert. An unexpected treat.

5) Snowdrops everywhere and buds appearing. We are heading in the right direction!

Had a few restless nights so hoping for a good sleep tonight but have a very good book on the go as a back up plan.

what are you using for the power wash @mhagster I need to do my patio so looking for recommendations 
1) brrrrr it’s cold so 1st mse pleasure is being back in a nice warm bed
2) and 2nd pleasure is my boy snoring in his new bed next to mine - we are settling into our new normal
3) 3rd pleasure was the cheese on toast I had when I got in 
4) 4th pleasure was the very interesting talk from someone from the national literacy trust after work 
5) and 5th pleasure was the two walks round the hospital perimeter; one at lunchtime with one colleague and the second at 3:30 with another colleague

Yesterday went to 2 v interesting talks ,in the morning at my history society an excellent speaker about Basil Brown ( who excavated Sutton Hoo ) and in the afternoon a chat about villages in my county 
Today I did some housework in the morning and then went to my wine group ,nothing done since and might have ad a little doze !

For yesterday,

Felt a bit better although headache lingered, into horsey town for provisions and saw the strings heading up to the gallops.

Lots of snowdrops seen now, so lifting in the current gloomy weather.

Long chat with my bf.

At the yard, bbbrr cold and all my girlie wanted was her hay net so that’s what we did. She had obviously been doing zoomies around her paddock as there was a lot of dried mud on her belly, at least when it’s dry it brushes off!

Snuggled under our blankets on the sofa and dreaming of warm summer nights when the back door stays open & the bats fly around the cottage, sigh.

Pleasures for yesterday/overnight

1. work was very busy so 12 hours went quick
2. journey to and from work very good
3. travelling home in almost daylight
4. my new hybrid car is very economical and is easy to drive.
5. Jacket potato with cheese and beans for dinner

Hello…it’s trying hard to snow/sleet. 

Early schmearly…woke thinking I’d heard my phone ringing downstairs…phone was on overnight silent and next to my bed! So I must have been dreaming! 

Had work this morning. A nice service. 

Had work this afternoon…also a nice service. That’s been three this week so quite full on at times. But both families were happy which is the main thing. 

Bought myself a bunch of yellow roses ! Loads of folk walking about with their bunches of red roses! 

Was seriously hungry when I got in from work late afternoon so was a chuck in a pan effort…chicken sausages and veg and it was very yummy!

What a difference some sunlight makes.

1 Popped out to get some poultry hearts for the ferrets, while there picked up some bird food as I’ve never seen it reduced previously.

2 Got the tip run done, a pleasure to move a boot full of stuff on, but the journey there is marred locally, to do 2 miles there and 2 miles back takes an hour because of long term temporary traffic lights.

3 A bit of sunlight meant I was out in that garden rapidly doing a bit of tidying around the bird area, making sure its clean. The local bird place has misplaced one of its birds of prey which was circling around so I rounded up the couple of ferrets that had woken up to help me back into the house.

4 It feels good to be planning some time away to new to us places to visit, we are doing it on a tight budget which is fun as well as testing.

5 Ordered in, our version of a valentines.

6 Freddo is still doing amazingly on steroids I know it doesn’t last, however at the moment, he’s helping me in garden, eating extra and up and down stairs. Nestle is as old as time and time is catching up but he’s enjoying his heat pads and he’s loving a cuddle when I sit and relax in the evening
