@C-J I'm so sorry for your loss - I really don't know what to say as I have been there too all to recently. CRUK website has a lovely supportive forum if you need it. I know I got a lot of comfort there , and animals always but always are the best tonic. Take care as others have said , and take time out for yourself too. xx7

So sorry to hear your news C-J, take care of yourself x
For yesterday,
A cuppa in bed after a rough night of little sleep.
Trip out to BurySt, Capt S has been meaning to replace his winter waterproof coat for sometime now and Bl*cks had a closing down / revamp sale. He found a direct replacement for his old one plus a thick fleece which will be very handy as well. I tried on a cardigan that I’ve been stalking for a while in the nautical table condiment shop but they didn’t have the colour that I wanted so instead I ordered it when we got home, pleasure is that all purchases are covered by the clothing pot in savings.I’ve set myself the target of less than 10 clothing items this year, this excludes undies but does include any CS bargains and it certainly makes you choose very carefully!
Stopped at small cafe and enjoyed toasted tea cakes & coffee.
Over to the yard and got my girlie cleaned up after being out in the mud! Left her munching on hay then caught up with other liveries before doing a bit of pole work in the school.
Downloaded and watched first two episodes from the third series of Scandi drama Wisting.8 -
Hugs and condolences to CJ.
sunny here this morning but a thick frost.
Got a leg of lamb out of the freezer so looking forward to a lovely roast later😊6 -
Hello.Up early and back at the table to work. Sent that script off…still awaiting feedback.Went to supermarket for a few things for lunch.Lovely feedback from the service I sent off last night, so that doesn’t need any changes.
Lit the fire. Then big pot of soup made.Lunch for the niecelys and DD2 and the chap. Made soup with crusty bread. RTC sausages that were in the freezer. Some RTC coleslaw. Savoury rice. Doughnuts/ muffins.
Extra soup and cakes sent home with DD2.
And everyone left and dog and I sighed deeply…
Until DD2 and co just turned up! So 15 minutes of daft doggies. And still a teeny tiny bit lighter at 5.30pm. Yay!6 -
1 I got on with a job I had been putting off of tidying up clothes, took out boxes, cycled around the clothes, 4 jumpers to be thrown, feel like I’ve achieved something I’ve been putting off.
2 Pie and mash and veg was tea.
3 The days seem to be getting a bit longer.
4 I got some bits out of the freezer to do some proper cooking for meal planning next week, it’s been a while.
5 I’m giving a lot of thought to what to do for DH’s big birthday this year, I marked something little on the bay and received a good offer on it so I’ve purchased that it’s a little token pressie which might be an anniversary gift rather than birthday.

For yesterday,
A better night sleep wise and didn’t wake up until 8.15.
Busy morning, removed all mud, shavings and horse hair from inside of mini 🙈 topped up screen wash and put a little air into tyres.
Walked down to the village pub for lunch, very tasty especially the dessert which was a blueberry Panna cotta, possibly the tastiest pud I’ve ever had.
Gentle stroll back in the winter sunshine and the birds were singing in the hedges.Serendipity, read the February section of my Almanac and she spoke of women eating blueberries on St Brigid’s day!7
