Do you have days where best thing you can say about the the day is that you made it through it?
7 -
Oh yes!
For yesterday,
Lots of sunshine that lasted into the afternoon.
Into horsey town and met my friend for a coffee.
Capt S home early and we had lunch together.
Over to see my girlie, despite the sun the mud is eurgh and my wellies got stuck trying to get her through the gate. She just stood there looking at me as if to say what you doing there Mum?! Long groom and there was white hair everywhere 🙈
We booked a long weekend away at the end of next month, can’t wait.7 -
Morning all 😊, January is always a difficult month, but I’ll think about the positive things:
Tuesday was OHs day off, his cold was still hanging on, but I went swimming and managed my target lengths, though felt awful afterwards. We went for lunch, Wetherspoons, OH had his favourite fish and chips and I had chicken tikka masala, both enjoyed. We then went to the cinema and I relaxed on the luxe cinema recliner seats and it was MSE 2 for 1 courtesy of Meerkats. We saw the Bob Dylan film which had some great performances but was rather disjointed.
Wednesday I got the huge frog finished that has been stressing me out and collapsed on the sofa for the rest of the day.
Yesterday was OHs second day off (now working 3 days a week) and neither of us felt like swimming, so we made the most of the rare sunshine and had a walk in our local beautiful park and lunch in the cafe. Then an afternoon of tv and a bit of chocolate. I feel like my mind and body has rested a bit and I’m getting back to normal 😊
Today I must go shopping as I’ve put if off all week.
Good news is OHs mum’s house has had several offers on it so we can begin to think about our future move.
Have a good day everyone, hope you all keep well in mind and body 😘6 -
Good afternoon. Grey again
@weenancyinAmerica. I've definitely had days like that this week because I had a rotten cold. If I'd had your lodgers to cope with too I'd have given up!

Bad cold lingered all week so very little done. A definite pleasure was HM soup and meals in freezer so I didn't have to cook properly.
And cold led to conjunctivitis. But another pleasure was the lovely chemist in Boots who sorted out some antibiotic drops. She apologised for the price too but they're working so well worth it.
And now I need to get weaving. We go away on Sunday and nothing is sorted yet! Izzy whizzy.. I'll get there
Happy Friday everyone

Woken up last night, by hearing Freddo, I got up and gave him a treat and cuddled him, and thought I let him go back to bed, but he managed to get up the stairs, no mean feat for him at the moment, and climbed up the beanbag beside the bed and curled up – my heart.
1 Caught up with in laws.
2 Made some low sugar chocolate cupcakes for the weekend treats.
3 Up early the car went in, and DH had planned to walk back a couple of miles, but they offered to borrow a car which we were not expecting.
4 Honestly a very loungy day, DH asked for a takeaway, although he would gladly have one every day, it wasn’t hard to twist my arm.
5 Watched Father Brown, but I’m not feeling this latest series as much as the others.

Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to the coffee morning where there were 2 new people who were very nice.
3) The tiler texted to say he might be able to start late next week, rather than towards the end of February.
4) Sanded the kitchen door sill as it will be easier now rather than when the tiles are stuck down. I don't know what wood it was made from but it was hard as steel!
5) Felt worse and worse as the day went on. Did go to work for 2 hours but had to go home. My manager said I was using up my last 3 hours of holiday today (i.e working but would get the extra 3 hours of money on top), which I had forgotten completely. So it would be fine to go home and have it listed as holiday, rather than spoiling my record as being off sick.
6) Got home, lost eyesight in the bottom third of my right eye. It then sort of came back but in swirling, see through shapes (like looking through the light spectrum). After about half an hour, it went back to normal. Still ill, though!
7) Watching television all evening and smaller son made flapjacks.7 -

Pleasures for last few days
1. yesterday the muddiest dog walk for a long time. As my doggy is close to the ground and is white she was covered in mud. The joys of having a downstairs bathroom being able to shower her clean
2. A good book which I picked up on the off chance on the shelf at Tesco for donations - made me laugh out loud.
3. Felt a bit off the other day - forgot how good toast & butter is.
4. Taken out to dinner - very nice food
5. Garden finished - will be lovely just to sit out in Spring
6. enjoying my new car, runs like a dream and getting nearly 60mpg
