Lovely colours Paulie.
1 The vets called, Nestles booked in for early Monday, he has heart issues and is an older boy, but he’s had a lot of ops he’s got through so we really do hope he can do this. Just shy of £400 Ouchy but if he gets lots of quality pain free life from it. He needs food every couple of hours from now until the op, keeping his strength up coupled with the painkillers.
2 Portioned up the C0stco food to meal planning and the freezer.
3 We popped out; while out I popped into a one stop specifically for an ice cream offer that they didn’t have and just as well, I guess.
4 Dinner from the freezer haddock and mini roasties with obligatory mixed veg.

Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to the local coffee morning and had a chat.
3) Went to Waitrose to do the prize crossword in the free paper.
4) Collected the new Christmas lights from B and Q.
5) Worked from 4-8 which went smoothly.
6) Came home and had a mad flurry of activity - sorted washing, dishwasher, fed the cat, fed smaller son, tidied up and made a hot water bottle, then watched Gardener's World!
7) Watching the Last Leg now.6 -
@Purple_kitten - thinking of you and Nestle. (((hugs))) for Monday's op.6

oof work manic and was trying to read posts before posting and realising i should just post! ill doggie is now well on the road to recovery. thank you for all your good wishes. So for all the days i've been away five fs
1) friends - my friend going through a tough time - things are slowly improving to a new 'normal'
2) flowers - so many flowers still out (East of Scotland we have had glorious weather)
3) fireworks - I Know not universally loved but we had a glorious community firework show - so many of the community out, young families, folk well into their 80s, sharing parkin (and some of us adults a very fine Oban single malt)
4) fire - and a terrific fire at the other end of the community space to the firework setting off
5) football - what else - Luton even managed a win (though Leicester got a thrashing, poor DrM)

Good to hear from you DD and fab news regarding your boy.For yesterday,
Few chores done first thing including mopping of the floors, the kitchen especially bears the brunt of an old dog that resents having her paws dried these days.
Driving across the flat fens and seeing the peat dark earth all turned over.
Time spent with family, lunch out with DSIL and eldest niece then popped into see youngest niece at work. We had a look around the charity shops, I always check out the vinyl available and could have the worlds largest collection of James Last if wanted! The only purchase was a book to add the already considerable TBR pile.
Long drive back as lots of tractors on the roads but had a singalong with Ella.
Pleased to be home, cottage looked so cosy & inviting that I had a ooh that’s where I live moment.

DD, glad doggie is recovering well.
1 Nestle is doing well on the feeds and asking for food now, and now another is poorly, booked in for Monday. When it rains….
2 I got on and mowed and tidied the front lawn, it will need another go as the grass has got too long – ops.
3 Oven pizza for lunch, spaghetti bolognaise for tea.
4 Numerous wash loads done, but they’re mainly hanging around.
5 Settling in to watch “ A Man Called Otto”, which so far seems like my sense of humour.

I have had such a quiet day!
Slept for at least 8 hours straight through! Woke just before 7am…oooft!
Chat to sister.Pup was dropped off for a couple of hours whilst DD2 was over at the nightmare house.
Log burner on and sat and watched something.
Had an RTC curry meal about 3.30pm
Then RTC scones from the freezer , toasted for a few minutes in the airfryer and plopped the last of the cream ( from pavlova making) and jam on top. Then it will be a quick doggy walk then bed I think.8 -

Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Slept until 9.45.
2) The car battery was flat again. Smaller son struggled to push the car slightly uphill off the drive then our neighbour's daughter helped. Then 2 men from the next house ran out as though they were doing a Formula One pit stop and used jump leads!
3) Went to watch our football team and they won 1-0. They are now 4th in the National League North.
4) My friend played football with his new team and they also won.
5) Popped to Tesco with smaller son after the football.
6) Watched Strictly.
7) Spoke to my school friend.
Still a bit ill but getting better.7 -
For yesterday,
After a bit of a rough night a slow start to the day with a cup of tea and a biscuit in bed, I really am turning into my Mum!
Early yellow flowers on my primroses.
Met DSS and DDIL plus 6 month old pup for brunch at the farm shop, they were visiting friends nearby and wanted a catch up. Couldn’t believe how much the pup had grown in two months and he’s going to be a much taller spaniel than small dog.
Over to see my horse around two and she was ready to come in please Mum. Settled her into stable then helped another owner whose mare had picked up a knock in the field and wouldn’t stand still for her to clean the wound. Chat with friends and left my girlie in a warm stable rug with the temperatures dropping overnight.
Lasagne and garlic bread for tea then caught up on Only Connect plus QIXL before watching the end of the Festival of Remembrance.7
