Will make sure I check that out next time I’m wandering around town Amps
For yesterday,
The social whirl of descaling both the iron and kettle, know how to live me!
Bit of a sad day as my friend unexpectedly moved from the yard ☹️ we are due to meet up for a coffee next week so will no doubt find out more details but I will miss both her and her sweet mare.
Did spend a couple of hours in the afternoon sunshine with my girl, she came in a complete mud monster so first job was get that lot off then we did a bit of work, followed by cuddles.
Tea was pork chops in stuffing gravy, small dog had my pork fat.
Clear night so lots of stars out when she had her last constitution of the evening.6 -
For yesterday
1 This morning before 9.30 I had got 3 loads of washing on the line and contacted both the dentist and doctor about stuff. Feeling vaguely organised.
2 We went out to Ikea to pick up mirrors to go in the back of display cabinets, and of course it’s not ikea without a candle.
3 We went to B and Q for flooring ideas and found one and it’s on offer of 4 for 3, and then went to Costco and saw a couple there, I’ve ordered the samples but need to cost it up tonight.
4 A slice of pizza from the freezer for tea.
5 We picked up some very rtc bread, I popped it in the freezer to make it slightly more diabetic friendly than it would be otherwise.
1 For today, wash loads on the line.
2 The house needed a good clean, so got on with it and hoovered and mopped the whole place. It needed doing.
3 A small Ocado order arrived, with some nice grub and ferret specific lactose free cream, we used an offer a while ago to get the years delivery pre-paid very discounted, and they do some very good offers.
4 Homemade korma curry and turmeric brown rice.
5 Time to catch up on some reading tonight.

Hello. In bed before 9pm
Up early and out with my doggy.
Went to CP with my doggy. Got down around 10am. And left around 3pm. Had two nice walks. Tidied my ‘garden’! Removed horrible faux grass stuff and the loads of solar lights that may or may not work but look ancient and untidy. There was a pot with weeds growing in it so removed the weeds and planted 4 purple primrose plants I’d got for a pound last week. And took the two wee purple tubs of winter pansies I got for a pound each too. And the rest of the time I started to read, a nice library book that I finished this evening. Not all peace and quiet…three phone calls too!
The chap made a pasta bolognese for tea which was nice .
Went up to my room for a bit of peace and quiet to finish my book…one dog, one daughter, another dog all on my bed! I just want to read!Walked her dog. Then we walked to supermarket. Then we walked both dogs. And bed!Oh and my windows were cleaned! Hurrah! Was talking to friend/neighbour last week( when I was out cleaning downstairs window) so she said to her window cleaner so he came today!9 -
Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Got a loaf of bread, bag of chillies and some coriander from the Olio lady.
3) Went to floody city charity shops and bought a vintage Kew jacket for me (£5) and an exciting gadget for bigger son's Christmas stocking. Smaller son and I have tested it! Photo to follow. Can you identify it?
4) Pot of tea in Waitrose and started reading my Peter Crouch book, which was free from somewhere.
5) Mowed the front lawn, saving 2 toads as I did so.
6) Cooked a big batch of tomato sauce plus the base for 4 shepherds pie.
7) Had meatballs for tea.
8) Watched An Extra Slice then Ambulance.

Nice jacket Frith 👍
For yesterday,
Start of another test match so sitting up in bed with first cuppa of the day and listening to TMS.
Small dog had her hydrotherapy, therapist suggested that we park around the back from now on as it’s a long walk from reception to the therapy room and my little girl struggles with their shiny floors. She enjoyed the tank but not so the massage so she had an extra painkiller when we got home. She did get several aaahs when she walked back in sporting her spa robe, maximum cuteness.
With my other girl, strange walking onto the yard and not seeing my friend 😔 No work today but washed down her legs, which thankfully were the only muddy bit, and made sure her feet were clean before applying a natural barrier to help protect from thrush.
Drove beloved down into the village to pick up his car from the garage, both vehicles are now serviced and MOT’d so the car maintenance pot more or less empty, spendy old time of year.
Easy tea of oven fish & chips and enjoyed the last in the series of ACGAS, it goes so quickly!5 -
Morning all 😊. Very dull here this morning.
A mixed week:
OHs mum passed away early Tuesday morning in hospital ☹️. OH had been with her the evening before and she was asleep, so it seems she went peacefully. He went back to work on Wednesday to keep occupied and he and his sister are sorting out the arrangements. They all seem ok, mum was 92 and had been poorly.
My cold has finally mostly gone, just a bit of a cough. So I did “ladies who lunch” on Wednesday which was nice.
Last night OH and I went to a long awaited Paul Carrack concert at the Royal Albert Hall, which was fantastic and also featured a 170 piece choir and a couple of numbers from Andy Fairweater Low. It was the final night of a tour celebrating 50 years of the hit How Long which Paul did with Ace. How can that be 50 years?! Anyway it was amazing.
A late night and tiring but so worth it but I must rouse myself and get on.
have a great Friday everyone 😊8 -
Morning all.
PaulieHerts - condolences on your bereavement, good that Mr PH had been with his mum the evening before. We were both working when hubbie's dad died and I seem to remember we worked the days up to the funeral once the arrangements had been made as otherwise we would have just been hanging around waiting. It's a surreal time isn't it? Hope he is ok.
Not much pleasure-wise to report here at the mo, will be shortly setting off to the drop in centre as the nasty bites I got at the weekend are not responing to antibiotics and the whole area is swollen and red and it's spreading. Oh dear, that's enough! The pleasure will be when they get ontop of it and I feel better!
Have a good day.6
