Paulie, my condolences.
Various for the weekend
1 There was a choux bun.
2 I spent some time overhauling my cover letter and applied for a couple of jobs, one sent me a whole barrage of emails with various questions, and I decided if its like that and I’m not even employed there not to progress it.
3 More tidying, office, and bedroom, feels like it’s continual.
4 A lot of animal ‘help” in the garden, bulb planter creates a hole this is way to exciting move my hand it must be inspected and dug more, bulb, refill and if they don’t agree dug up and re planted! I planted 76 bulbs to start and felt okay enough to plant another 100, I might be feeling it a tad now thou.
5 Bacon sarnie for brekkie and chicken rice veg concoction for tea
6 Scanned in a document before popping it in the post.
7 Clean bedding for us.
8 Finishing off the coffee Swiss roll, the only way I get anywhere near coffee.

For yesterday,
No extra hour for us as animal stomachs don’t recognise daylight savings but nice to come back to bed afterwards with a cuppa and read in bed.
Over to see my big girl and administer meds etc, my friend and I used to give each other a day off by covering but she’s obviously gone now. Did speak to the yard owner and I could get Sunday / holiday cover if needed.
Home and eldest DSS arrived, he’s home for a week or so and was craving one of my Sunday roasts, oh and wanted to see us as well 😉Roast pork with all the trimmings followed by a fruit crumble with clotted cream.
Watched the football and I tried not to doze off after the above!
Our visitor left for his next stop on grand tour and we hung on to see Gone Fishing before heading off to bed.7 -
Good afternoon. And what a glorious day it is!
Spent time on Saturday pulling out and cleaning behind washer, dish washer and freezer with much help from DH. Just let's say I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to see that. Could have cleaned or planted potatoes I think! Have now attached a little label with date on to one of the plugs to remind us not to leave it so long next time!
Had a lovely breakfast birthday meet yesterday for DGD. Everyone I care most about in the same place! My favourite thing💕
And it's my birthday today so a laid back day for me with an M&S curry for tea.
Happy 🌞 day everyone7 -

Happy Birthday,
HappyCas
1 Caught up via whatsapp with DB.
2 Spent the whole day up to 8pm getting floor tiles up from the bathroom floor, they were free and served a purpose, but looked dreadful, now we have leftover flooring, I ended up using a multitool and heat gun, but it was hard, you wouldn’t believe it’s literally the smallest bathroom possible.
3 I cooked up a chop and turned leftover rice into egg fried veg rice.
4 Packed up the bathroom unit, well flung it into a crate and found I had under calculated and needed another crate, and swore to halve what goes back in.
5 It’s nice to be sitting down watching Brokenwood.

Happy birthday, @Happycas and enjoy the curry.
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Lost 6lbs last week.
3) Did a bit of admin (phoning for a bank balance and texting my friend's mum to see if she was going to visit and would take my birthday present to her).
4) Went to floody town and looked round the charity shops. Nothing there. Had a cup of tea in the museum and a chat with a teacher I used to work with.
5) Went to the bookshop for a card for the man whose housewarming party was yesterday.
6) Went to the library to print off some piano music. Smaller son likes the theme of Interstellar so I am learning that.
7) Cleaned the bathroom.
8) Did a load of washing, 2 loads of the dishwasher and some general tidying up. And the two things I own that need ironing got ironed!
9) We have had trouble with the door handle on the spare room and the screws keep pulling out of the (cheap and nasty) 1960's plywood. Also, the door catches a bit. Today I stood on the landing to pull the door shut, pulled very firmly and the whole handle pulled out of the door with a loud bang and I fell over! Smaller son laughed at this for some time...
10) Went to work which passed OK.
