Hello.Rubbish sleep again so I was glad to get up.
Pup dropped off.Me and my dog went to CP and had a lovely walk, a pain au chocolat ( well I did) and a lovely FaceTime chat with DD1.
And then home after a couple of hours, quick run before we came back. The drive each way is stunning with autumn colours .
Then hello pup, jump in the car and I’ll take you home. And home…hello doggy ! That’s us in!Pizza for early tea.And just had the last little bit of apple pie that was left over from last night.9 -

Frith, I too held my breath while reading about your absolute madam cat!
And talking of cats, lovely picture bop we look forward to updates
Haven't posted since last Tuesday goodness where does the time go. Ill doggie has taken up a lot of energy..
Tuesday he was very ill again
Wednesday i had the difficult is it time discussion with DD2 - he clearly overheard me
Thursday a bit of appetite though still lethargic and diarrhoea
Friday a bit better
Saturday he enjoyed a bath and 3 meals
Sunday he enjoyed a long massage and 4 meals
Monday he enjoyed a walk to MrE's - he hadn't been for a walk for 2 weeks and he fair bounded up our hill!
Tuesday he enjoyed another long massage and complained about 'only' 4 meals
Today he's just enjoyed another walk with gbf (I have refused to give him more than 4 meals a day!)
So for my 5
1) (hopefully) a recovering dog
2) treading on and popping snowberries
3) finding my first conker
4) the colour of the leaves
5) my snuggly bed where I will be very soon!

Oh DD it’s such a rollercoaster with an elderly dog isn’t it.
For yesterday,
Eating our breakfast and listening to the incomparable Joe Root beat Sir Alastair’s test run record out in Pakistan, what a sportsman and a once in a lifetime talent.
Down to the GC in the village and a restock of bird food as will now start putting it out again, did pick up a new seed feeder as well but to date I haven’t seen anyone dare visit. My disabled blackbird is still around and making the most of the windfalls but think will need more help to get through the winter months.
A parcel of books arrived from WOB.
At the yard, day off for my girl work wise but she got a long groom and much fussing.
A new series of The Chelsea Detective.6 -
🏏Totally agree with Lainey on brilliant cricket listening this morning. Great triple century from Harry Brook too. 🏏

Still thinking on first Faraday lecture in Town of Gown from young Professor Thilo Stadelmann, brilliant and hopeful re: positives, negatives and unknowns of AI, which is his ongoing aim.Next, &'s tiny osps😁-1.Squidgy banana became 5 healthy breakfast fritters. 2 eggs used as 1st was yolk-less! Ate one this morning.😋.2.Climbing beans flowering more than ever. More pods appearing, first pick soon, only a couple of months late.3.Shouldn't be, but is - a new strawberry flower. An extra Spring in climate-changed days?4.🫶NHS🫶, local medication review with new2& Dr, lovely lass. 🫶BROH next.🫶5.Happy🤳 chat from Spain👏🫶, then unexpected catch-up from E, working with her charity 'Malina, pour l'éducation des filles et l'empuissance des femmes, Côte d'Ivoire'. Told her about the Rehema Project and CMS's Heather Johnstone's visit next month, also to local schools.👏🙏and just now from A, back from a USA research month.#
More scrappy & pics.😁
Will catch-up read later, must dash again now.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Happycas hope you are okayAmpersand thank you for the photo's they made me smile.
Today Boost (Fuses brother) passed away in my arms, he was a complete cuddle bum, and taught me how to learn to be “present” he would clamber up on me and as long as I was wearing something soft, would always cuddle in. It got to the point I sometimes didn’t realize he was cuddled, as he was always there. There are tears, a lot of tears, feeling slightly overwhelmed with tears.I hope we can distract Fuse.
Varying pleasures for the past few days..
1 We had our flu and covid jabs, which is great, with a caveat of neither of us is particularly well since, we are assuming side affects but hoping it subsides soon now.
2 I gathered together the plants we want to get in the ground to get some idea of what’s what.
3 Our local chippy is doing an anniversary offer tonight of half price cod and chips, I don’t mind if we do!
4 We travelled to Colchester to pick up a bay win of a couple of display cabinets and popped around the town, it’s not as it used to be but I don’t think shopping centres are now, we did see some amazing banksy-esque street art.
5 Ordered two things from the Amazon sale, I’ve had an eye on the price for a long time, both are only a fiver off each but still as cheap as I can get, it’s not exactly like amazon try anymore.
1 We over did it yesterday but so lucky to be able to take it easier on ourselves today
2 We dropped into aldee on the way back yesterday, so it was nice to have a sandwich for lunch which chicken and coleslaw, one of my favourites.
3 Two very late sunflowers facing us so we can see them is a lovely flash of colour.
4 An easy tea of a kiev, with veg cooked with the Rana pasta.
5 Feeling appreciative for generally everything, the animals, the roof over our head, I know deep and meaningful, but it’s nice to stop and take stock.
For today
1 I’m totally off kilter with Boosts passing, I continued on with tidying the office for a bit, I couldn’t be bothered making it a non-ferret area as Boost loved it in there, so today Freddo did his very utmost to try and cheer me up while in there, but became subdued when he just couldn’t, ten out of ten thou for very noticeably trying.
2 I’ve not made cake in 3 months now due to DH’s type2, so tried my hand at low sweetener type coffee cake – its not a winner, but it does satisfy the cake want in fairness.
3 My food plans changed to use up a pork joint which was dangerously close, so I roasted it up, with cheat aunt bessies, cabbage and gravy,
3 A really large butterfly taking an interest in me, while I sorted the bird food, and the wagtail has returned for the autumn, winter.
4 Grateful for this thread, there was a book on offer recently that said along the lines of how taking stock and finding daily pleasure’s, literally re wires the brain to find positivity, well along those lines…

@Purple_kitten - so sorry to hear about Boost. Take care of yourself. Sending (((hugs))). Hope Fuse is okay.5

So sorry to hear about Boost, hugs PK
For yesterday,
Yes yes to more cricket listening Ampersand and smiling over footage of Aggers playing Jerusalem on his euphonium to accompany the traditional singing by the barmy army.
Made a quick cheesy soda bread for lunch.
Small dog had her first hydrotherapy session in a month as last appointment was cancelled due to her having that stroke, explained all to therapist and commented that she’s had more comebacks than Frank Sinatra! Apparently she enjoyed her session and came out wrapped in her spa robe which prompted an aaaahh from the lady sitting next to me.
With my big girl and some work done in the school, apart from one hairy moment she was a good girl and worked well. Stopped for a cup of tea with my friend.
We went outside to look for the aurora borealis, the sky just looked green and apparently we should have used the night mode on our camera phones 🙄 We did however see the owl flying up from the field into one of the beech trees, we usually only hear it so that was a real bonus.

Hmmm I’m a bit late with my Thursday pleasures!
But they included going into town first thing ( after I scraped the frost of the car!) getting a parking space in carpark of choice! Came back to drop stuff off less than an hour later and folk were queuing up for my space…sorry I’m not leaving yet!Had a few chores to do for DD2 so did them and then drove over to drop things off. It’s such a lovely drive out with all the autumnal trees.
Popped into see my main work giver …with a bunch of flowers as it’s almost a year since I did my training. Had a nice chat.Eventually home and hello doggy. Wrote a list of things to do and did all but the big one which I need to go out and do now!Lit the log burner…in my new house that won’t ever be my new house there was no place to put a log burner and I knew I would miss mine! And now I don’t have to!I did not see the aurora borealis…we normally go out a last walk about 10.30pm and everyone else was posting pics but I couldn’t see anything! Think I’d just missed them
Today there’s much to do and I’d dozed off again and woke with a start! So the big job I didn’t do yesterday was clear a path in the garage as I have my container coming back today ! There’s plenty room for it but I need to make the spaces as everything else has been brought down to the front for moving!6 -
I'm sorry to hear about Boost, PK.
Pleasures for yesterday (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Cannot remember what I did in the morning but I spent the afternoon cooking. I did beef goulash (5 portions in the freezer) plus chicken tikka (8 portions in the freezer). Also pork loin chops with apple and leek for our dinner yesterday with some for my lunch just now.
3) Popped to M and S for a pot of tea.
4) Watched an Extra Slice.
5) Smaller son and I went out to see the Northern Lights as I kept seeing everyone else's photos. We couldn't see it!
6) Warm House Discount knocked off my electricity bill.
7) Won 9 games of chess in a row online.
Spent the day generally throwing myself into things as Mr U (remember him?) keeps changing his phone and got in touch on Wednesday night which upset me somewhat. I didn't reply to his message but thought about it and checked 2 hours later. He was so incensed that I didn't reply to his demand instantly that he has blocked me !

Oh Frith🤲-
Consign Mr U-bend right there, where he belongs.😠
PK - RIP Boost and hope Fuse is comforted with you.
Mhags - tiresome as the reverse process is, you DO have your new coastal caravan bolt hole.
#Osps -1.Maggie James' compelling talk on her 'novelised memoir' "No Way Home", from 5 years in 1980s Saudi Arabia. With 2 small children, she managed to teach, grim in the madrassa, then in the British School, while her architect husband oversaw the construction of a huge Riyadh shopping centre. My word!....or rather, all her words, observations and experiences are just as sharp and relevant now as then.
2.Is it the season for 'out of the blue' contacts? Note from another young LP Professor friend, hoping for WhatsApp connection. With great pleasure😀.3.Yippee! Back just in time to hear beloved 'Harpoon' on R4X, always splendid, always in full ripping yarns mode, as here:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/b00cq60w4.Start time for osp1 allowed & to wait in Doblo and hear George sentenced. Other Hurrchrrs listeners will know of what & speaks.
5. Early a.m. baking, so seedy+nutty loaf, lush tea-soaked sultana loaf and muesli slice. All yummy and healthy, from &'s biased point of view.😁
