WeeNancyInAmerica, thank you for the kind thoughts and words, each day brings on new and strange things, it is hitting DH hard. Working to keep him in small but regular food to try and control the diabetes, as I don't know what effect covid is having on it.
Lainey, good luck on the car hunting.
SSue, hoping its mild for you also.
1 Infection control? Fresh bedding and the place is flung open for as long as possible, which is fairly normal here.
2 Playing with the animals in the garden.
3 Cooked up a lot of sausages, as I can smell but not taste, having half portions at the moment.
4 Amazon for some new test kits.
5 Dug out the Nigel Slater Christmas book, I’m all about comfort at the moment.

Get well soon, everyone.
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Walked into town, listening to a podcast on the way.
3) Walked round all the charity shops (and TKMaxx) but didn't buy anything.
4) Got all the washing done but it had to dry on the radiators.
5) Spent the afternoon removing the stair carpet and the nine million staples and nails that were holding it in place.
6) Smaller son and I walked to Tesco.
7) Watched the Great British Bake Off.
8) Sent off for some bulbs after reading about an offer on MSE.

Hello
Almost time for late night doggy walk/sniff
Up early.Had a blood test at GP surgery. It’s school holidays here this week so there wasn’t as much traffic as there normally would be so was there in plenty time and just sat and watched the leaves fall.Went to big supermarket as down that end of town! Honestly don’t like big stores! With all their stuff! Got some RTC flowers and RTC empire biscuits ! And got three sets of very sad plants that were reduced to a pound each! Just need a bit of love!
And home! Pup must have just been collected as he wasn’t here! And he was out for ages.Wrote a list and ticked it off. Cleaned bathrooms, cleaned windows at front. In and out. Window cleaner seems to have deserted me!Chat to friend as she was walking past.Unpacked 2 boxes. Have various piles on the stairs to go up.
Went to see mums NDN and had a lovely chattery evening. Then a friend whose parents lived across from mum was just passing so had a nice chat with her. Nice walk home ( though in the dark) DD2 had offered to pick me up earlier but it was fine.7 -
For yesterday,
Sloggus domesticus in the morning, made a few spiders homeless and did a general tidy upstairs. Loaf made as well, a light rye with lots of added pumpkin seeds.
Car dropped off at garage in the village, phone call later to say he had failed due to problem with exhaust and new part needed which wouldn’t be available until Friday. They are aware that I will be selling afterwards.
My pony was a complete diva in the lunge pen, snorting as she went around the enclosure with head & tail skywards. We even had a little rear up at one point! Apparently a lot of the horses are behaving the same way so must be something in the air.
Felt in need of a bit of comfort food after that day that so sausage casserole with mash for tea.
Watched the Bake off and then caught up on HIGNFY.5 -

Thinking of all who are ailing in various ways - go gently and take all the time necessary to come right again.
Lainey - it could be Big Moon Man who's entering your girlie's spirit. It's a stunner tonight on which we P&R passengers remarked while returning earlier.

Hello
Up at kind of normal time with doggy then fell back into a deep sleep! Oh my goodness at 8.30am!Pup dropped off. Then when he was collected for his walk I dropped off wrapping stuff to a friend and had a little tiny doggy cuddle! Quick chat to another friend as I was packing the car and an apology to her dogs as I had no biscuits in my pockets! Then quick doggy walk with old
boy and then it was time to get ready for going out for lunch. Friend had messaged me yesterday that she had a voucher so did i want to come!
Oh okay 😆. Nice meal and good chatter.
DD2 was here this afternoon so was nice to have company then it was nice when it was peace and quiet.
Got all hoovered up and hung up a washing on clothes horse as it’s been a damp day ( though a very mild day)6 -
It could well be that the full moon is affecting my girl’s behaviour Amps
For yesterday,
A very mild day with lots of warm sunshine that made the autumnal colours really sing.
Early visit to the yard, girlie was out naked and enjoying the sun on her back so administered meds, carrots and cuddles out there then left her to it. Few jobs doing including the never-ending task of tack cleaning.
Lunch then out in the garden, tidying and clearing, the beech leaves are starting to appear on the grass.
The full moon rising behind the trees.
A meal out with my girlfriends, we went for a curry which isn’t my favourite but I had a chicken chana which was delicious. Lovely catch up with my pals with lots of laughter and horsey talk ☺️ We were surprised when we left to see that it had obviously been raining hard and there were massive puddles in the car park.4 -
Morning allWe had a lovely week in Cornwall last week and once the storms had passed we were able to do our favourite thing - watching the fishing boats go out from the beach below our holiday cottage in Cadgwith Cove 😊
We also had a wonderful boat trip along the Helford River on a beautiful sunny ☀️ day and saw cormorants, herons, sandpipers, little egrets, oyster catchers and a glimpse of an osprey flying overhead. We also visited a tin mine, really interesting and had lots of nice food including seafood chowder, crab soup and of course fish and chips! My BF visited for the day as she was visiting relatives in Penzance.
Stopped halfway home for a night in lovely Montacute in Somerset.
In less good news I came home with a horrible cold which is still lingering , now OH has got it. His mum is in hospital after another fall, had probably been on the floor all night ☹️ and it’s not looking good ☹️
Hope the poorlies are recovering and everyone has the best day they can 😘5
