5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

Today has been a difficult day. Much sobbing at my current situation. And I feel absolutely wrung out. However there were nice moments in amongst the phone calls with solicitors.
An alright sleep.
A beautiful sky.
Chat to friend on her way to work.
I sat and wrote a list and I think I’ve done everything on it.
Hoovered the car…usual half a beach and half a woodland walk.Had a brain wave and wondered if my ornament pumpkins were in a box upstairs…got to the very last box and there they were! The joy!
Then a couple of hours of non joy.
Sobbed to my sister.Moved furniture around. So dining room now in extension and sofas down the front of house. Much humphing and pulling and pushing! All hoovered up and floors washed.
Ornamental pumpkins distributed throughout the downstairs rooms.
Brought a few things in from the garage.Cleaned bathrooms.More phone calls…more sobs.Went to supermarket for some flowers.Ready meal for tea as I chatted to DD2.
Candle on.My doggy has very much been my emotional support dog today. Literally hasn’t left my side. So I’m grateful for him. And grateful for friends…and family who have listened.Don’t need to make a decision today about what I’m going to do. All very vague 😆
Just going to go and look at the stars then head to bed!Tomorrow will definitely be another day!8 -
hope things resolve soon Mhags ,I always thought the Scots system of house selling was supposed to be more straightforward than here in England .
The National Memorial Arboretum is one of the most beautiful ,moving places I’ve ever visited PK .

Sue it’s English selling system that is the problem. It’s horrendous and frustrating and I’m beyond over it all but today is a new day so we’ll see what happens!

Good morning. A bright day!
Mhagster - I do wish you could have a bright day, house purchase wise. It does seem to be a nightmare tangle at the moment.
Recent pleasures
Trip to Rutland to meet up with Canadian cousins who are over here for a while.
Journey down was not a pleasure. Dreadful heavy rain on the A1. It took almost double the time it should have! The real pleasure was our safe arrival.
Had a great time with lots of chatter and laughter. Day out in Oakham and another in Stamford. Lovely relaxed meals out in the evening. Maybe a little wine. All good.
And a nice sunny dry day for our journey back.
Back to reality now.
Happy Friday everyone8 -
Oh Frith my heart was in my mouth reading about your elderly cat.
Have no words Mhags thank goodness for Haggis
For yesterday,
Cold start but clear skies and washing hung out to dry.
Trip into horsey town and one bag dropped off at CS.
Met a friend for lunch, by midday it was warm enough to sit outside and, after days of rain, it was lovely to feel the sun on our faces.
With my equine pal, long groom and pamper, she dozed as I worked.
Skies still clear at bedtime so a bit of star gazing as small dog had her last wander around the garden.

From up on The now chilly Gallops.
1 .Free emporium cappuccino and very rtc egg mayo+cress sandwich, much needed after 2nd big day on the trot. Today, helping x for 6hrs in Town of Gown library, with kindness and repeated help from library staff. Legal beagle biz, gutting old compensate+restore judgments in his favour which a notorious utility company has deliberately ignored, worsening the sewage damage caused by their initial neglect, poor work and delay. As x says, they hoped he'd pop clogs long ago.2. Harvest service then Harvest Lunch yesterday was lovely in every way. Food for soul and 😋.3.Chaps' dress-up fun return to training last night and great chat with one who spent 2012 working on a remote farm here:https://www.topomap.co.nz/NZTopoMap/nz4548/Ototo-Stream/. Loved it and 'my entire kiwi family have always stayed in touch and came over for our wedding last year.'4. Yes, & will -https://www.facebook.com/share/UCCTYwNXgMsDSref5.V. late drop-off of big left over macaroni cheese to Jimmy's last night. Then saw new2& rough sleeping lady over the road. Affable, well-spoken, evicted, personal safety - accepted more savoury and chocolate cake extras. Good conversation. & asked if she'd be safe there through the night. 'I'm very safe here and thankyou for asking.'#Nearly dark now.Andy Pandy theme song time again....😁🫶🎶All blessings of osps great and small these days.
- especially now after catch-up read and Madam home again, Frith.🐾😸
Mhags - 🤲🫶🤞, all of this has to come right soon.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Hello from a much calmer me . I have withdrawn from any sale / purchase and I’m staying put. That’s all I’m saying and I’m at peace with my decision.
Anyway after an atrocious nights sleep it was a relief to get up,
stunning sunrise
Made a call about something first thing…oh I’ll get him to call you back, blooming three and a half hours later! So I couldn’t go down to CP as the reception has been rubbish and I needed the response.Had ordered cakes from friend who’s a baker so they popped over ( very kindly) with my delivery and we sat and a had a good blether.Got the call I was waiting for and me and dog went a walk to process my thoughts. Came home and sent emails. Felt a huge weight off my shoulders.
I was suppose to be hosting for GN’s birthday tomorrow but we had a change of plans and they all came here and we had a nice birthday tea…thank goodness I still had paper plates. So blooming noisy though! All the chatter at the same time. And sigh…they left and it was just DD2 and her doggy to go! Quick walk with them and then just me and my dog boy. Who’s next to me on the sofa snoring 😴
The nephew in law is very tall so he helped put up a heavy painting I have. Which came from Australia and just says Australia to me so that felt like ‘home’ again.
I should be getting my belongings back next week . Have a bit in the garage so shall do those boxes over the next few days. Then I know I’ll be overwhelmed with 45 big boxes…but Mrs SD I’ll have a further declutter I think!Letting the people who need to know, know and getting lovely supportive messages back!
And honestly it’s okay. I’m okay. I still have a lovely home. And I have a bolthole for when I rattle too much here and need a ‘tiny house’ experience!
life is for living…not half living.9 -
So glad to see this, Mhags - having the bolt hole is key and you will always know it's there, 'yours and yours and yours'.....and Haggis's.

It must have been driving you up the wall, Mhags. I hope you're doing ok.
Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went to the coffee morning and had a game of chess.
3) Had a cooked breakfast for lunch.
4) Went to work from 2-8. My uniform has arrived!
5) Have watched television all evening.12 -
Mhagster - a tough decision but I'm sure it's a wise one. And you've got your lovely caravan to escape to. Onwards and upwards xx9
