Hello. Beautiful evening sun at the moment. Hoping for a good sunset.
Not too early this morning…was already light which is unusual.
Down to CP ( caravan park from now on) just after 8am…Met friends daughter in tesco…I’d walked past friends car so had a quick chat to her.Arrived after a lovely drive and had a lovely morning walk. Just us and the birds and it was just perfect.
Much happier with the hallway wall. Need to get a couple of picture frames and want to get a runner rug. But will need to measure up first. Washed the light fitting.
DD2 and the chap arrived with rolls and sliced sausage. Then we went to the swimming pool. Not quite as sunny as yesterday ( they’d driven down in thick fog) but still pleasant. I’m not a very confident swimmer but I quite enjoy it, if it’s not busy. Will now try and go each time I’m down if I can. Dog is used to being in caravan now so just flicked the blinds shut so he can’t bark at anything/ everything going by. So I’m happy to leave him for half an hour at most.
They went and I waited another hour or so. Had a nice walk before we left. It really feels like my happy place.Something not right with my car so will need to go to garage tomorrow. ? Exhaust.Dropped dog off at home as too warm to leave in car and went to supermarket. Had a £4 off £40 spend so again went round with my calculator. Got a big box of soap powder to bump it up. Chat to someone I know in carpark. And home. Hoovered car. Had washed car blankets yesterday as they were covered in mud.Hoovered upstairs.
Received final bit for service I’m doing but I’ll collate it all together tomorrow.7 -
Great to hear that you are enjoying your seaside home from home so much Mhags
For yesterday,
1 - 5 Family, we had a ‘do’ at ours and spent the afternoon with our loved ones. After a morning of rain the sun come out so we could sit in the garden and it even felt a bit too hot at times! I did a buffet lunch, Capt S was in charge of the bar and all the dogs got on, perfect.7 -

Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Lost 4lbs. That's 11lbs so far.
3) Went to floody town to collect the book I had ordered for my brother's birthday.
4) Went to a Heritage Open Day that had not listed itself in the official HOD literature. It was the creepiest, most oppressive building I have ever been in in my life (and I never get feelings like that). I know there's a marsh (nature reserve behind) but it was cold, damp, bleak, mouldering, really shoddily painted and grubby and we (visitors) all stood around in the foyer where there was no signage or ANYTHING to tell us if we had come to the right place where a mean looking man typed into a computer and ignored us. I drove off in the end! I had contacted someone about photography lessons there but I won't be doing those now. In fact, she never got back to me so perhaps she's lost out on the marsh!
5) Posted an Ebay sale and relisted 2 more.
6) Handed in an application form.
7) Phoned a man about getting the windows cleaned on the outside - not done since I moved in as I wanted to finish the decorating and dusty work first.
8) Listed the firewood stacked in my garage on FB marketplace and a man will come and pick it up tomorrow. I just carried it out of the garage and put it on the drive for him. I joked that he could have my apple tree if he had a chainsaw (long dead) and he said he will come back and do that for me !!! He can have the firewood from that as well.
9) Did a load of washing then washed the sofa throw.
10) Mowed the top lawn.
11) Had to clean the bin (and kitchen floor a lot of times) after an unfortunate maggot incident.
Very much looking forward to tomorrow as I am going on a train to have a guided tour of a station...

Hello. Well sunshine has disappeared. Lashing with rain and very windy this evening. Have had heating on for an hour.Silly sleep and wide awake very early.Out to car garage for early o’clock but hit school traffic which is stop start. The very nice chaps checked my car, sorted it , checked tyre pressure for free. Which was so nice. The heat shield had come detached.
Straight home and worky work stuff done.
Then chat to solicitor. By which point work stuff had involved phone calls/emails/texts and then chat to solicitors almost tipped me over the edge. It continues …
Did a washing and hung it out. Was half dry when rain started.
Had to pay for storage and council tax on phone. Because I shouldn’t have been here by now…should have been in a different county by now.
Returned all my books…bar one that I need to have a better look for but it’s been renewed. No offence but I hope I don’t see you again…ha! We’ll see who has the last laugh. Last free bag of poo bags ( maybe)
Then home and an email from solicitors not bringing good news…my reply started with a holy moly. I am getting to the absolute end of my mental tether.Pup was here this afternoon and extra cuddly. He’s just been picked up but I’ll see him tomorrow.7 -
Mhags, I don't know much about the Scottish house buying process, but it sounds like you've gone through the wringer
1 Some proper from scratch cooking, whole brown rice with turmeric, and chicken with veg converted to build your own wraps, with enough rice left over for a curry tomorrow, and the remainder of the chicken is packed up in the freezer to be van food. Feeling quite pleased as we are both seeing results from an okay diet.
2 Just booked into a new to us place which is hopefully very money saving with good planning for a few days if it works out that is.
3 Using the "well time" between being off colour to clean the house up again today.
4 Washed the mattress topper, not sure how well, but looking for another good one is proving unfruitful.
5 A bit more decluttering achieved, more to do tomorrow.

Morning! It’s been a wild night here! Much rain, much wind. The issue isn’t a Scottish legal issue at the moment. The whole situation has been out of my control. It’s very frustrating.Anyway today is of course another day! See what it brings.Have a good day ☺️6

For yesterday,
Very tired after the weekend’s shenanigans so just a bit of food shopping first thing, no friend so I didn’t stop for a coffee.
Small dog didn’t move off her bed all morning, another one who was tired.
At the yard, my girlie wanted to be out but we had the physio coming so we did a bit of groundwork to fill up the time, she made her feelings plain by keep stopping to stare wistfully in the direction of the paddocks! Enjoyed her physio though and was very relaxed by the end.
Home later than usual so lazy tea of egg & chips, followed by leftover Eton Mess.
We listened to the Archers omnibus, very dramatic.5 -
Quick pleasures as I'm feeling a bit under the weather (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) A lovely journey to Malvern on the train.
3) The walk/talk at the station was not very interesting so I quietly wandered off and did my own!
4) Did all the charity shops in Great Malvern but bought nothing.
5) Had a cup of tea in Faun (cafe/bakery). Had lunch in Waitrose!
6) Thought I would walk around floody city a bit so got off in the more central station. Looked at one charity shop then felt awful so walked quickly to the other station and continued home.
7) The man came to take away the pile of firewood.
8) Will watch the second half of 24 Hours in Police Custody at 9.6
