1 What turned into a really lovely day with the in-laws, we took them for a change of scenery over to St Margarets bay, you could smell the salty sea air, the tide was in and moving all the shingle around, a walk, and then a sit in a sun spot with teas / coffees and a freshly made bacon baps each was blissful.
2 They treated us to dinner out at a carvery which was both lovely and we hit a sweet spot where it was nice and quiet.
3 We took a ferret for a walk with all the above, his first one and he was a star, and admired by café lady.
4 While talking about the surgery they actually phoned up and booked it in, surprised at the relief I feel.
5 It was a nice easy drive home.
1 Loaded the car up for a tip run
2 Errand picking up meds, and delivered a car full of things to the tip.
3 Dinner tonight is fish with broccoli and cawli in a cheese sauce.
4 We sat in the garden to have lunch and watch the animals playing.
5 Watching Sherlock.

Hello. Bedtime thank goodness!Up early.
Went to castle. Had a lovely walk. Found the bluebells.Sat in garden when we got back in and read. Was a little bit warm when the sun peeked through the clouds. But just nice sitting and the background noise of birds and bees a buzzing in the garden.Sorted out my now emptied wardrobe. Cleaned the skirting board inside it and put baskets of clothes back in ( that had been in chests of drawers that won’t suit new house)
Think we have a moving date and awaiting clarification.
Made ANZAC biscuits…I have packed all my baking stuff away! So had to be resourceful …they were delicious. I’d watched the Dawn Service last night.
DD2 and pup dropped off when The Chap went to work. She had some soup. And some still warm biscuits . The Chap kept calling them cookies and we were no, they are Anzac biscuits!Friend came over in a borrowed van so we humphed and hauled with much to me/ to you-ing 2 very heavy chests of drawers out my house and over to hers. Now in situ!Quick doggy walk then read for a bit.Chap came to pick them up and I gladly headed to bed!9 -

then had to write a reference for a SFHEA so quite an involved reference 'up to 1000 words' it was 950 and has taken quite a while. but done now and on holiday so no need to set the alarm. need to wait in for virgin engineer and then will train down to edinburgh :-)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

For yesterday,
Finally feeling a little bit more human after having this cold lurgy thing for a week.
Into horsey town, saw my young pal riding out in one of the strings heading up to the gallops, she was going across the horse crossing and obviously recognised my car.
Mama and papa blackbird on the grass in front of the kitchen window, beaks already stuffed with grubs and looking for me, the juveniles were hidden under the hedge waiting for the food,
Over to see my own horse, she’s fine having had a week off work! Warmly rugged up to go out overnight as temperatures are dipping low.
The tomato plants are going great guns and will need potting on this weekend, still so cold here so no chance of going out yet.

It’s been a bad day with a lot of negative news, job rejections and bad news from both vets and docs, so digging for pleasures.
1 Brief chat with DB
2 DH had a diabetic check, but things are wrong, new appointments made.
3 prepared a packed lunch for an outing tomorrow.
4 DH and I spent a long time treating the garden with nematodes this afternoon, so here’s hoping, after the slugs decided they were doing a complete takeover rather than live and let live.
5 I made a curry and brown rice from scratch for dinner, and I’ve just frozen down the leftovers.

Hello
Bedtime! But had to remake bed to get in it! But lovely clean sheets!Up early.
It’s been another lovely day.Did a bit of weeding this morning.Went as far as supermarket.
DD2 and Big Pup dropped off late morning ( with more washing 😆 that I did say to bring over)
Started a library book and finished a library book! All I’ve done is read all day! Outside for most of it.And just another quiet day keeping a motherly eye on my girl. Not one bit of packing /decluttering done! So shall really have to do a bit extra tomorrow!9 -
@Purple_kitten - sorry to hear you have had bad news from docs and vets. Hope things get better soon. Sending hugs your way.
I just spent the morning making doctor's appointments and another referral came in the mail requiring two visits including one for x-rays. Those appear to be my social outings for the month. At least I get in a lot of reading while waiting in the offices.
Our weather is finally beginning to improve here. Hope I can get out and work in the garden at least some - right now the only thing in it is weeds. The front yard has a few plants in the planters near the front porch but that is it. Would love to get some vegetables in soon. Our food prices are going up, but I don't think they are as bad as yours.
Hope everyone has a better day today.

For yesterday,
Early trip into cathedral city to visit bookshop and chocolate shop for a certain special chap’s birthday presents. Was very restrained in both and only got things for him!
Some decent amounts of sunshine after days of so much cold grey.
Over to see my horse, brushed her and then did some lunge work, she was excited, her Mum coughed a lot but at least we did something! Caught up with my friend who I hadn’t seen all week.
Easy tea of pork ragu from freezer with some pasta, my HM ready meal stock is rather depleted after a week of feeling rough so need to replenish at some point.
No TOTP due to snoozer coverage boo so caught up on The Twelve.6
