1 A couple of wash loads hung out and dried already.
2 Dinner is leftovers which made a kind of full English for tea, also I’ve just put a couple of apple and cinnamon pie pieces in to warm up for dessert.
3 Cleaned the oven a pleasure, it is done and sparkly.
4 I’m not a make-up person, I very rarely buy it I have a couple of staples, a few years ago I tried Trinny London and got a match that was basically too good, it didn’t notice at all, so I’ve done some research and trying to build it a little ordered 2 more things a bit pricey thou.
5 Arranging the return of some not right items, and just ordered a few cake decorations for dh’s birthday cake, which reminds me I need to start soaking some fruit.

1) bit tight on time so put cup of tea into flask and dashed off to bus stop - made it!
2) new choir master is great to work with - we had a long rehearsal (hence need for earlier bus) then of course the service - vocal cords certainly got a good workout
3) made Moroccan butternut squash soup for soup - finding frozen peeled cubed butternut squash has been a revelation!
4) went to watch 2nd half of Liverpool game - thrilled when Mr Piano (remember him?) video called. We had a great catch up (thanks to earphones). he's doing well, and played me some rachmaninov :-)
5) and now home watching BBC 2 60 years of classics. I must not stay up to end!!!

For yesterday,
Capt S bless him did the early morning routine with small dog so I could stay in bed for a bit as rough with cold.
Did get over to see pony later in the morning, her all nighter meant she was very sleepy but enjoyed a groom and a cuddle which was all I had energy for.
Home and dug some chicken pies out of the freezer so we had those with new pots and calabrese.
Watched and thoroughly enjoyed the Coventry / United match, so so close sky blues!
Reading my book.

1. It's Earth Day, grey and spitty, becoming more persistent, definitely chilly, but & is in CUBG. Seems right.2. & has found another CUBG hidey seat, an old one, too! How come, in so many years of widely wandering CUBG, has & not found this one before?!? Cos it's at the top of an only recently reopened rise, where this is now being written.3. A lovely handwritten Thankyou and emails for &'s Wooden Spoon efforts.4. Wonderful to have hugs with former DoR and family at Colts' Cup final yesterday. Narrow loss and our yellow-carded boy has hopefully learnt a lesson about not mouthing off to Referee. Those 10 minutes with 14 did make the difference, sadly - a life lesson parallel, too.5. Being followed by little wren, then 2 robins. Will pop down and see the frogs next.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

1. penultimate 'go to work' day - can you tell i'm counting down? Only one student but i'm past caring. No students at the seminars so i left early
2. The fridge was bare so i went and restocked
3. DS was away so i made hay and cleaned his room and changed his bed.
4. DS came back and i was glad i did #3 as he is unwell - only a cold but a nice clean bed works wonders
5. Another half pound lost - 4lb above target now .👏
Enjoy your day.I wanna be in the room where it happens8 -
I'm in M and S, 10 miles into a 12 mile walk!
I don't like updating the next day, but here goes.
Pleasures for yesterday (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) A long day of postal vote processing. The man I sat with was rather quiet and at first wasn't too excited by my game of spot the best name/oldest voter. (Names have been changed slightly). He got into it when I spotted Bernard T Rosencranz and Demi Large and suddenly shouted, "Oh, Trevor Sandcastle!" with such delight it made me keep giggling all afternoon!
3) Back home briefly to talk to smaller son and tidy up.
4) A splendid evening at MrM's, eating stew and playing chess. It's always very calming to go there.
5) Can't think of a 5th but it was the best day I've had in months. Slept until I was woken by the dawn chorus, listened to that for a while then back to sleep until 8.30.
Walk will recommence just now!6 -
Hello again.
Still have grey and brooding weather in our neck of the woods, real shame as all the blossom is a delight when the sun shines. However, the grass is very green and lush with all the rain.
Recent pleasures:
1) Check up at the dentist, nothing to be done, always a relief and a big pleasure.
2) Did last minute holiday shopping while we were out and about, all done now ready for the off on Thursday morning. Just the packing to do tomorrow, no doubt will take everything but the kitchen sink, the pleasure being we are going by car so not a problem.
3) Brother had a quietly positive meeting with his oncologist today, nothing will get in the way of him joining us on holiday, this is a HUGE pleasure.
4) Big chat with my bairn and a look at the work that has been done recently in the 'big house'. It's coming on well, he is working hard but you can certainly see the difference. It is shaping up to be pretty magnificent. Very down to earth son's partner is quite bemused to have a dressing room bigger than any bedroom she has ever had and I am mightily envious (mainly of her shoe wardrobe) but very happy for her, she deserves the best of everything and my lad seems determined to make sure she gets it. Aww!!! They've both been through the mill in previous relationships but are so good together and so thoughtful towards each other. Note to self: must be nicer to hubby when I remember!
5) Talking of the devil, hubby's sciatica is easing off somewhat, still hobbling but hopefully this won't spoil his holiday.
So, we are pretty much set for the off, a busy day tomorrow packing, cooking, cleaning, ironing, etc so may not be back before we go. So play nicely everyone, no dramas or upsets please while I am gone, back a week on Friday, which I think is the start of a BH weekend and into the merry month of May.
