Me again, just having a quick catch up before heading off to bed.
baser999 - thanks for your concern and the heads up, very pleased now I got it all booked this afternoon. Managed to bag a very reasonable package for three days, two nights with the second day at Legoland free. Nevertheless they will be making money out of us on parking, food, etc so won't be much of a bargain in the end! However, we have previously taken his two brothers so pretty much know what to expect and he has to have his turn! The pleasure - for us - is firstly that he is very. very excited and, secondly, we will never have to go again!
Bed and my book beckon, catch you all later.9 -
Fab photos Paulie
For yesterday,
Percy pigeon and his love are still flying around the garden, beaks full of nesting material. There are several largish holes in the hedge where they have made their way in so goodness knows where the nest is.
Blossom on the pear tree.
Spent the afternoon with my pony, she seemed a bit reluctant to come in so suspect the spring grass is coming through, this time last year they were being prepped for being out 24/7 but the fields are still so muddy and haven’t been rolled yet so suspect it will be much later this year.
Tasty tea of salmon and roasted veggies.
I had downloaded an app in the morning that tracks your food & exercise etc but by early evening it had been deleted again, easier with a pen & exercise book!

Lainey I have a returning pair of collared doves nesting just over from my back fence in the crook of a sky dish on house over the back. Mr CD often comes down to pick up twigs and bits to take back to the nest, which to me doesn’t look the most comfortable place but is actually probably quite sheltered. I’ve named them after my parents in law who were always together.

Hello. Just about to head up to bed. Just said cheerio to Tuesday Tea friends and quick walk with doggy and it’s blooming cold! A right raw wind.Up early. It’s thankfully been a dry day even though it’s cold.Went up to castle…and there on my table bench seat was my glove! Soaking wet! I went to beach on Saturday and had my big coat on but only one glove in the pocket so was delighted to find it…popped it in a poo bag😂
We had a nice walk and a photo opportunity with daffodils and a dog.Home via supermarket.Hung a washing out which certainly had a good blow!Friend popped in. She’d messaged to see if I could use a beautiful light fitting so I’d messaged DD2 and she could so that was dropped off and had a blether.Waited and waited for a phone call re last two viewings. Sigh! Rude is what I call it! Not returning estate agent calls. Surely you know if you go to see a house you will be asked for feedback! Anyway I did get a call from EA just they never!Tuesday Tea was mashed RTC potatoes, RTC carrots, peas, RTC cabbage and sprouts with RTC breaded chicken from the freezer. And very nice it was too. With a chocolate eclair for pud!Chatter and laughter always good.8 -
Mhags your house move is inspiring.
Lainey, Wow your girlie is a beauty.
&, loving the piggie picture/photo.
Knocked over with a bad bug, did a few covid tests, we are both not in great health but dealing.
1 The vets appointments keep coming, the last one was very positive, we still have everything crossed we’ve done the best we can, one month till he gets tested again. Another vets visit this morning with another for dental, he’s home safe, sound and made a fuss out of.
2 Cleaned the animal bedding for after the op.
3 Cooked up some bangers and mash quickly, saving the takeaway for when we are both feeling a bit better to appreciate it. We have friends who order 5 take aways a week and I wonder how they do it, but we are very different, we have stashes of things in the freezers, they have a freezer but use it for desserts, we often wonder if with the costs of running the freezers if it all evens out.
4 I went to the doctors where they gave me steroids and antibiotics yesterday, I wasn’t hopeful, but have to say they have kicked in very well so far and barring waking up twice coughing it was a far better night’s sleep gotten. Seems I’ve damaged my voice box they are guessing by the violent coughing so it’s quite quiet here just now.
5 Watching naff stuff on streaming.

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Walked into town and posted the last of the Ebay sales.
3) Saw my heron again, which keeps popping up in different streams/pools daily on my walks.
4) I have walked 51 miles over 14 trips this month.
5) Made a shepherds pie for dinner with red cabbage from the freezer (from Christmas).
6) My brother came for dinner and to watch the Wales match against Poland. Sadly they just lost on penalties.8
