lovely piccie ampers reminded me of Nelson
1) good night's sleep and day started well - got washing done including my coat and out on the line
2) hmm had missed a meeting so ran to catch bus and went flat out - grazes that reminded me of being in the primary school playground! the nice bit? the lovely ladies at the enquiry centre who patched me up and gave me lots of tlc, the jeans (now without knee on left side) were literally on their last legs and i didn't break / strain anything
3) very nice lunch - last portion of mum's shepherd's pie - then piano concert at the cathedral
4) had made mushroom and thyme soup for supper before i left the house - was lish
5) then watched Scotland match with MrE - DrM arrived for 2nd half - not a good result but a nice end to the week even if my hand and knee are sore.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Ouchie DD, hope you are not too sore this morning x
For yesterday,
Capt S had the day off so a lazy start with reading and a cuppa in bed.
Went out to the farm shop cafe for breakfast, had a laugh with the ladies behind the counter and admired their homemade cakes. Picked up some of their lovely snorkers in the shop.
Did the monthly finances as it’s pay day on Monday, the lawnmower broke last weekend so we looked at replacements online.
Over to see my pony, got her in and she had 40 minutes with her hay before we did a bit of work, the earlier rain had blown away and it was a decent afternoon.
No idea what I did but when I went to get out of my car at home my right foot was really sore and by early evening I could barely walk! No idea but bloomin painful, ice pack plus painkillers and it’s a tad better this morning, completely bizarre.

Hello
Just watching the night sky change from light to dark. Stars and an almost full moon. It made me smile just there as I closed the front blinds and saw the moon, my son had posted a photo on instagram of the same moon at the other side of the world.Anyway a quiet day which again I was more than happy with, still coughing and spluttering and still have a sore coccyx from my fall last week …so sympathies for your skint knee DD, and thank goodness you didn’t break anything ( other than your jeans)
Was down on beach at 6.45am. The joy of light at 5.45am! Drove by my new house on way home! Was just us and 2 wind kites at the beach. Was blooming freezing and blooming windy! And that was the highlight of our day, the rest just spent very quietly ( quite happily being quiet)
Put on a set of moisturiser socky things I got at Christmas.9 -
1) a very good night's sleep then off to the chemist about my hand - he recommended keeping it uncovered until ceiildh, putting on plaster to protect it then uncovering again - bought 5 large plasters for 80p each
2) litter pick - friend gave me some old fertilizer bags so will use one of those a day till the path down to the railway is litter free - the boys love it cos they get to be off the lead and sniff around to their hearts content
3) GWSE (graduate women Scotland east of which I'm president) annual lunch - speaker (Clare Hunter speaking about her book Embroidering her truth: Mary Queen of Scots and the language of power was excellent
4) then ceilidh for the Baha'i New Year - lovely food (I had gone for the lighter options for lunch and forewent pudding at both events!), hand just about survived and we were encouraged to take home the los so i came away with curry and salad for tomorrow yum
5) and now i'm watching Doctor Zhivago which is now only available till Tuesday 5:05 - i have never seen it beforeMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) A slightly better sleep.
2) Went to Park Run but it was a bit piecemeal as a lot of our usual gang were away, then it rained so we had to squeeze in the cafe instead of taking our normal table outside then it all rather collapsed and we went home.
3) I went on to the charity shops in 3 different local towns and found 3 t shirts and a jumper. I was incredibly short of clothes so these have already gone through the washing machine and are on the radiators.
4) I listened to the football commentary and our team drew 1-1.
5) I made brownies for my sister's 10th wedding anniversary and put segments of chocolate orange on top to tart them up a bit.
6) Party! I forget that I don't actually like parties much but I did enjoy the pig roast sandwiches.
7) Will go to bed in a minute and listen to the radio.8 -
For yesterday,
A decent nights sleep and my foot felt much better.
Boiled egg and marmite soldiers for breakfast.
Very windy and lots of ominous black clouds on the horizon but the rain stayed away so we could do a bit in the garden, cut the buddleia right down and tidied up some other areas, we need to get over to the recycling centre soon to fill up some bags with their free compost.
Over to see my pony, others had already brought her in for me so I sorted out her medication and hay, then did the same for my friend’s horse. Both girls take their meds so easily now with a mouth open ready for the syringe and minty treat ☺️Home, watched the footie and ate snorker baps for tea.6 -
Good morning. Lovely and bright and the howling wind of the last two days has dropped.
Ouch D Doll. Hope the grazes soon heal up. And perhaps slow down a little.
Decided to take the thinner duvet of the button-together set off . Might have been a bit too soon because it's colder here now. But it's had a good blow on the whirligig so is now back in its cupboard.
Another one here sending virtual good wishes to Kate. A cancer diagnosis, as many of us here know, is hard enough without knowing the world is watching your every move.
A visit to DS and family planned for this afternoon to deliver Easter eggs as we'll be away at Easter. It will be good to see them all together, and not on a windswept football pitch.
DD is back from her adventures in Amsterdam and Bruges too so we might see her later. That will be good.
Happy Sunday everyone
