Hello. It’s been the most beautiful day here.Up early.
Chat to DD1
Left for beach at 6.15am. Had a lovely walk. Forgot my hat so I was rather windswept!Stopped at supermarket on way back but had to wait till 8am till it opened …so my friend called and we chatted till it opened.Home and mad rush to reach perfection levels again. Viewers. As soon as they were away hung out washing.
Then it was time to drive over to DD2 for the Pups birthday celebrations.
Then time to pick up friends daughter who was on a school excursion.
And home! Hurrah! And bonus all nice and tidy ! Popped a RTC curry meal in oven for tea.Brought washing in, almost dry.The sun has been shining. The sky has been blue. Still need a jumper on but just lovely to be light and bright.

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Did very little in the morning but then walked 4 miles and had a cup of tea in M and S. On the way home, I had another series of messages stating the intentions of another mutual friend of MrU. That is 2 people now who obviously think they are suddenly in with a chance. I've never had this happen before!
3) I did a cooked breakfast for me and smaller son (though it was afternoon).
4) Tidied, wrapped stuff to post on Ebay etc.
5) Went to my sister's to give my niece her Easter present as they are going away tomorrow.
6) Watched some of the Beckham documentary.7 -
Morning all. We’ve had a lovely weekend, decided to have a night away as it OH’s last full weekend off before Easter and then Sunday working. As we’ve got an annual ticket for Blenheim Palace, having visited at Christmas, we went to the Icons of British Fashion exhibition. It was very interesting and some weird and wonderful displays from the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney and many more. It was lovely to see the Palace again as you take in something different each time.
We stayed the night at the Premier Inn at Oxford Airport and had a very nice steak at the on-site Beefeater restaurant.
We had a large breakfast, then drove round a few Cotswolds villages, including where we’re thinking of staying in November, so we can visit this year’s Blenheim Christmas. Then we went onto Cotswolds Farm Park, Adam’s Farm and enjoyed seeing the chicks 🐣, rabbits, goats, lambs, horses etc. it was lovely and sunny. Coffee and cake and home in time for feet up, catch up tv and farm sausages in tiger bread for supper 😊Hope everyone is well. Have a good Monday if you can 😊9 -
For yesterday,
Early start with small dog but it was a nice, if cold morning for a walk.
Usual Sunday morning routine of bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
Bit of pampering, did my nails and eyebrows.
A late Sunday lunch out, our favourite spot and as always the food was delicious, we shared a dessert but given it was a chocolate fondant pudding not sure that many calories were saved ha ha!
Another walk, more like a waddle around after the above but nice evening for a wander, the full moon was rising behind the beech trees.8 -
Visited The Priest House in West Hoathley, beautiful 15th century timber-framed house; will return later in the year when the cottage garden will be in full bloom8

Happy Monday everyone, they come round very quickly don't they?!
Recent pleasures:
1) Glorious blue skies and warm sunshine yesterday - a perfect spring day.
2) Went to our favourite garden which has just reopened, a place of soothing and solace. Did the trick and I feel calmer than of late. 'All will be well' sort of feeling.
3) Treated ourselves to a lovely lunch in the restaurant as it's our first visit of the year. Very expensive now so this will be a rare treat but much enjoyed all the same.
4) Started sorting our trip to Legoland - little fella's birthday present. The pleasure will be spending 3 days with him watching him enjoy himself.
5) Off to do some bits of shopping later but first a chat on the phone with my brother who has had scan results and is now on a treatment plan, just need to be reassured he is ok. Now we don't have mum and dad anymore, as the eldest of the four of us I appear to have adopted the role of Mother Hen. There are worse things to be!
And on cue the rain starts again. No grass cutting today then!
Enjoy your day.8 -
The most beautiful sunrise this morning…then lashing rain all blooming day!Pup dropped off for a few hours. ( I offered)
Waited and waited for feedback from yesterday viewers but they never took the calls from EA
Then a can you have a viewer tonight call …absolutely! Lovely couple came.Friend had messaged this morning are you in this afternoon? Yes I was but as soon as she left I’d to do the mad hoover/wash floors/clean bathroom/put dog stuff away. Didn’t help having had two hairy hounds here today. Was lovely to catch up with her.Phone call from friend.8 -
