Mhags good luck with the house
Frith, Mr U doesn’t deserve you in his life, you deserve better.
1 Popped to the recycling place to take a photo while recycling a hoover, never have I felt so daft!, it’s for the cashback offer.
2 Popped to Aldi for a top up shop, animal meat and of course an animal fleece and snuffle mat.
3 A using everything up pasta bake for tea.
4 A lovely surprise from DH, a big pre planted hanging basket in beautiful colours, and chocolates.
1 Travelled to in laws, who were in fine fettle.
2 We went out for dinner to a carvery on vouchers and a discount code.
3 We popped out to pick up Fuses antibiotics from the vets, as it’s a bit of a drive, we took one of the new ferrets who keeps staring at us when we walk out the front door with us, and he loved it, mainly napped on me, drank left over tea, and had some chicken mayo from an rtc sarnie we picked up, he was unimpressed with walking from the car to the vets thou.
Here’s a bad photo of him zonked out and apparently comfortable.
4 We popped to the cheap shops as we were close to them and picked up bits and bobs from Home Bargains and B and M.
5 I’m just cooking up one of my cba meals which is Kiev in the oven, while frozen veg and fresh pasta is cooking up together.
For today
1 There was sunshine, bumbles, and butterflies, and the first wash load out on the line, and the clothes pegs promptly bought in to oxi them as leaving black marks.
2 A bit of cleaning but not as much as is needed so it rolls to tomorrow, the ferret bedding and our bedding all changed.
3 HM burger and chips for tonight’s tea.
4 Ordered some half price tie dye crocs, as I have tried the dirt-cheap ones and can’t stand them.
5 Quick call with in laws.

for yesterday which was the third gruelling day
1) we got through our ppr hooray
2) then i had a coffee with a new member of staff - my treat - we shared a slice of gingerbread yum
3) then guest speaker - lots of refreshment - bother forgot to take a tupperware!
4) then dinner with guest speaker, boss, 2 colleagues and 2 other guests - restaurant bit dark but yummy food and one of the guests is a luton supporter (sadly having been 3-0 up at half time we lost 4-3)
5) then boss dropped me off at mennies - DrM et al were suitably sympathetic
and for today, decided on some self-love
1) a lie in yay
2) 2 meetings over coffee - i asked both of them 'have you got a mentor' and they both said 'i was rather hoping it could be you' - i love mentoring and flattered these two consultants felt I was a worthwhile mentor on their med ed side
3) los for lunch and supper - very mse and very lish
4) talk on camino de santiago over at Broughty Ferry - very pleased to get a lift, tipping with rain!
5) then asked lift-giver to drop me off at mennies to watch second half of Aston Villa game with MrG and DrM - home now and Mr Piano sent me this Rachmaninoff Preludes Op 23 No.6 & 7, International Piano Series, NSU (youtube.com)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good morning from me and my sore backside! I think some of my last words last night were I need to go and walk the pup! Now the pup is a very big doggy and he decided he wanted to go a particular way which was very slippy and muddy. So he went one way and I went the other. Sploosh right in mud. Then when I tried to stand up I just went straight back down and landed right on my backside with a thump! Between two thorny bushes! In the pouring rain! And then I had to try and slip and slide my way back up the slope. Truly awful I was absolutely plastered with thick wet mud…saving grace? No one saw me!So it’s been another rubbish night and today is still a crazy busy day but with a sore coccyx! And if it happened to anyone else it would have been hilarious!Have a great day 😆 ( and we went a different way this morning)11

Aww, cute photo PK
Ouchie Mhags and I literally feel your pain after pulling a muscle battling mud in horse’s field yesterday.
For yesterday,
Loaded my little doggie pal into the car and took her to hydro / physiotherapy, she had a swim while I read my book and enjoyed the free coffee supplied.
How cute she looked coming back into reception in her towelling robe.
Over to see my horse, as above the mud is now so thick by her gate I can hardly move through it and pulled a muscle in my leg as I attempted to get one foot out, not really a pleasure but my horse standing patiently by the gate was. Didn’t feel up to doing much else so gave her a groom and came home.
The amount of blossom and green in the hedgerows.
Arrangements made to have lunch with a friend next week.8 -
1 Errands run, picked up DH’s prescription, popped into the docs to make a few appointments, and popped to Lidl for the garden fence pots, and copied Lainey on a smaller scale and picked up a veg trug.
2 I need to do some batch cooking but instead, I ordered in.
3 Hoovered and mopped the whole house.
4 Rather surprised when a reply I did on social media received 2k likes.
5 Picked up some freebie newspapers for the litter trays.

Well my bum is still sore but I may have bought a house!Up early after rubbish sleep.
Both dogs walked separately.
Heating engineer came to service boiler. Then a day of calls/emails/texts ensued.
First of all I’d to pick up keys for DD2 new house as they are on holiday which was booked ages ago. So had to drive out of town to collect them. However fortuitously it was the same estate agent that I’m using so signed my contract/ did ID check. Spoke to DD1 to tell her about my house..Popped into co-op next door and got three bunches of very RTC daffodils.
Drove to the new house to check all was well…luckily looked in the switched off fridge and found the milk…can you imagine that in a week!Home to mine. Hello doggy ( mine) then oooh aren’t you a mucky pup as he was dropped off from his walk.In between all of this I’d spoken to my solicitor, taken his advice and put in a verbal offer for my new house. This was declined. I refused to offer more…was sticking to my guns! And they called back to say offer was accepted! Yaaas! Whilst I absolutely love the house I didn’t think it was worth more than it’s valued at as will need some work done and it’s been up for sale for a wee bit. So then call back to solicitor who was on his lunch and then he called me back! Each time I talk my throat gets rougher and rougher feeling! Anyway he put in a written offer which was accepted. Then he emailed to ask if I could pop in at some point with my ID ( which just so happened to be in my bag) and as I was picking up and dropping off my friends daughter to get to her work in town I thought kill two birds and all that…no change for the parking meter and the app wouldn’t download on my phone so a very kind young man said here and gave me a pound! Which was just lovely! Round to solicitors, sorted that out.Popped in to florist for some eucalyptus and had a nice chat with the girls. Then home!Sister called to chat about the house.Chat to the holiday makers.
Then my SIL face timed to hear all about the house! Then my niece called me to hear all about the house. The spare bedroom has been claimed already by great niece! Then patio cleaning chap came to collect money so he heard all about the new house! And I’ve just talked far too much!Just been out with dogs and it’s a beautiful star filled sky with a shiny moon. And I’m more than ready for bed so I really hope I sleep…it’s been a week of rubbish nights. That blocked nose can’t breath feeling/ runny nose feeeling/sharp throat feeling…then throw in a sore bum 😆😴9 -
That's exciting about the house, MHags!

1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Spent a half hour last night writing a final message to MrU. Woke to 5 more messages of all my faults then another bit of blackmailing. Blocked on everything now.
3) Walked to town again. 4 miles today.
4) Pot of tea in M and S.
5) Phoned my school friend.8 -

Good morning. Nice bright day.
Mhagster - ouch to the muddy fall. But wow to the house buying.
Highdays - I hope things are feeling more settled. Hugs xxx
Just been plodding along this week. Not much to report. Some holiday buying - new undies and sandals to top up the current wardrobe.
Just watching a daft pigeon in our garfen. It doesn't realise how heavy it is and keeps trying to land on little thin branches which it falls off and then tries to look nonchalant. See, I meant to do that anyway!
Going to Lincoln today with DD and her MiL-to-be to look for dresses. One shop I looked at on line says prices start from £350. 😱 Don't think I'll need to trouble them! But it'll be a nice day out. And Lincoln's lovely, if you ignore the big hill in the middle!
And tomorrow DGS football. So a busy weekend.
Happy weekend everyone7 -
Exciting news Mhags 🎉
For yesterday,
Busy day with errands, first of all the petrol station and some of Mr Sparks hot x buns.
Then off to the stables and walked out to paddocks to give my girlie and pal’s their medication, my friends horse was reluctant so took awhile and all the time mine was looking over the hedge as if to say erm Mum, what about me?
Home, quick bite to eat and then back out again to horsey town and the emporium for a quick food shop, I’m so used to going in quieter times that tad discombobulated about the speed and rudeness of some fellow shoppers, one guy going so fast around the corner and not looking that he bumped into my trolley, him oops not paying attention, me no you weren’t!
Back again for a cuppa and a catch up with Capt S who had finished for the day then back out yet again, this time to the vets for small dog’s monthly injection, she has been struggling a bit the last couple of days and was reactive when he tried to manipulate limbs so we decided to make it every 25 days instead of 28. Bless her.
At last home for keeps, still light though which was lovely, easy tea of pizza and salad.
