Happycas, The soup dragon, the favourite of the Clangers. Hope you feel a lot better soon.
1 Dropped another returns parcel to the evri place, this time it was trousers from the sale at Yours, turned out to be dreadful quality, more pennies back in, and the other refund arrived in the bank today.
2 Stopped in at Aldi for ferret chicken, a strange fact for you they won’t touch any meat from Tesco, it was so busy all we did is pick up the one item and pay. The Mr T delivery arrived, and it just doesn’t look a lot for what’s paid ah well it was mainly all offer all being well we don’t need another main shop this month, just milk / bread.
3 Watching a video trying to learn Mahjong basics.
4 I’ve discovered a company selling seeds, I think recommended on here? They seem very informative, even saying how to save the seeds you buy for next time, I’ve put together an order, every year I say I won’t and every year I try again.
5 Mac and cheese tonight with a side of kiev and greens

Hello.Bedtime for me…not to sleep just now ( famous last words zzzz) but just to be cozy. Just remade my bed. Came upstairs a few hours ago to do it and got waylaid doing something else! So nice clean sheets. We went to the beach this morning. Left as soon as it was starting to lighten. Drove the slightly longer way ( by distance) through town but think I cut out the rush hour traffic heading to schools / work. It’s always very stops start that way at that time. Anyway we had a lovely walk. Dog had a good run. Tide was halfway in/out.
Whilst in beach down got a dress for work in charity shop. Shouldn’t be buying but it will be worn. I’m trying to have a cash only month which was why I shouldn’t be buying as I didn’t have cash! Then filled up with petrol.Popped into charity shop at far end of town coming back in. I’m looking for something in particular. Was not looking for a basket, a hair clasp and a tote bag with a kookaburra on it. However I seemed to have bought them. Also bought something that I’ll take back. I washed the inner for the basket and it’s now out in the front porch, worn the clasp in my hair and admired the kookaburra bag.We stopped at tyre place where the very nice chap checked my tyre pressure and sorted that! For free. And such a nice bunch of lads. The young chap said there’s a big dog in the car!And home…
Pup dropped off. Pup now weighs more than his uncle! Then it was worky stuff for the next few hours. But that’s everything prepared for my next job.
Had a late lunch/ early tea of leftover chilli , rice with sprouts and broccoli and red cabbage.Said au revoir to the pup and dog and I sighed!I then hoovered as I’ve realised no point doing it just before a labrador arrives!6 -

For yesterday,
Busy morning, through town to the equine hospital to pick up girlie’s medication and then onto yard. Made the manager do a big double take and worry that she had lost 3 hours as I was earlier than normal.
Few chores then walked out to the field, so, so much mud still. My horse trotted over to me, accepted the carrot and then looked more than a tad disgusted when I gave her the medication as well, grudgingly accepted an apple in recompense. Spent a bit of time with her in field, rubbing her withers and talking to her. Saw her pal, the hare.
Home and time to warm up, big bowl of soup for lunch.
Capt S finished early and we had an afternoon at home together, watched Belfast which we both enjoyed, especially the soundtrack.
Friday evening, glass of wine and played Yahtzee.

Evening all.
I never 'got' the clangers 😮🫢
Pleasures recently (can't remember the last time i checked in so sorry for repeats cos i CBA to read back more than a page or two).
Tutorials were sporadically attended but i think i helped those that bothered to attend. I still get paid whether they turn up or not
walk in the park with friend and a catch up, it's been a little while
reading my book club book - slightly challenging but am into it now.
new kitchen doors on some units - they are better than the water damaged ones but are quite different so need to decide whether to put up with or change more of them
my heated throw for when the heating was off but DS (who was on nights) was in bed
lunch with friend
drive to ICT in the dark - nothing in front and nothing behind me
my new ICT wood burner - nice and cosy
another one back into swimming. I weighed myself for the first time in AGES and, while nowhere near where i'd like to be, it was better than i feared. I'm more bothered about clothes fitting than lbs, but i guess there's a link 😝I probably need to lose a stone
logging this morning - stocked us up
Have a great evening all
I wanna be in the room where it happens6 -
Hello. Busy morning. Quiet afternoon.
Nice walk at early o’clock. Just us.
Skinny club. A whole pound off this week ( however that’s half a bag of sugar!)
Went a stomp round the park.Drove into town. I am looking for a pink cardigan. The service I’m conducting this week has requested bright colours. So I looked in charity shops and I looked in real price shops and not a pink cardigan to be found. I’ll look in big supermarkets at start of week.Anyway met friend and her grandson so had a quick chat with them.Found a large glass jar with ceramic drawer k-nobs in it at the charity shop…never mind I’ve given away 4 bags of stuff this week, show me something land I’m all ooooh I need that! I have a chest of drawers under the stairs that I shall paint! And I even have half a tin of paint! I also like the glass jar they came in. The k-nobs are all different colours!
Supermarket on way home ( local not big…could not face big on a Saturday!)
Caught up on telly stuff when I came in. Not that I have a telly😆
It’s been a lovely day after a drizzly start when we were out walking.Beautiful sunset.7 -
1 A slight er set back, I got a pair of trousers out to take photos to sell on vinted, but I looked at them tried them on and it seems far better than what I was wearing so er I’m wearing them now.
2 HM pizza with my fav sweetcorn and stuffing toppings.
3 Wrapped up and took some bulbs that started growing in their packaging and popped them in the ground, well filled up the front borders, what’s left will go in the back garden.
4 Checked the leccy and gas reading, a pleasure not to have surprises.
5 Just standing listening to the owl hooting,

Good morning. Still dark
Thank you Lainey and PK. It was the Clangers, of course. I should have known! DH did a very passable imitation of them 'talking' when our children were small.
Ok shall have to stop complaining I'm cold. Emails with my cousin in Canada and they have daytime temperatures of minus 38 C!! Colder at night. That's just unimaginable. He says they only go outside to feed the birds!
My nose is back to normal size. Such a relief. I still can't smell or taste anything but that's fairly usual for me. I live in hopes that someone will come up with a cure!
I put away lots of ornaments when I did the Christmas decorations and I'm trying to be very selective about what I put back. Sometimes it feels as if we're living in The Old Curiosity Shop! And it all needs dusting!
Meeting DD and fiance this morning for coffee and picking up DGD to go with us. She's coming here to do Eng Lit homework but we'll treat her to coffee and cake first.
Happy Sunday everyone

For yesterday,
A very early start with small dog needing the facilities but we all went back to bed and didn’t get up until 8am.
Made a loaf, changed the bed and did a few admin jobs.
Driving up the lane to the farm where the stables are and I could see my pony with her head over the hedge, it looked like she was chatting to her neighbour. We did a bit of work in the lunge pen then I settled her in her stable before joining my pal for a coffee & a natter in the kitchen.
Got home in time to listen to the 2nd half of the footie, we won and our new striker scored one and assisted the other, good stuff!
Snorkers, fried egg and beans for tea, as Capt S remarked a proper Saturday tea.7
