Gorgeous day today and off to the coast with my BF and her dog for another beach hut day. It was lovely and helped clear my head. We had a whippy ice cream with a flake and I had a dip in the sea. I really hope she buys a beach hut here as it was fab 🤞🌞

Lovely pics PH
For yesterday,
Cool start but soon warmed up.
Over to see my pony, she was lying down and fast asleep when I got there so I dangled a carrot under her nose for a bit until she woke up, even then she stayed laying down so sat next to her & leant against her side, soppy horse ☺️Dropped into BuryStEds and returned a fly rug.
Busy afternoon, collected a couple of things from the emporium then onto H*mebase as they have compost in the sale, also rescued some Pelargoniums from the reduced table, found some solar garden lights also in the sale and got a new front door mat. Home and potted up the plants plus gave them a good feed which hopefully will help.
Capt S home earlier than he thought so nice evening together.7 -
1. The scent is wonderful.
2. 4mins 10secs of tonight's sunset. Oh, back to 'file format not allowed.' & will try and put one pic in, from you know where, up on The Gallops.
Good grief &! You've actually sorted a single frame!
All while listening to the 100.
3. Great training last night at 🦚🏉HQ. Post- match munch was a highly popular barbecue on what became another marvellous evening, with matching sunset.
4. Lovely rtc Helda beans from emporium and lush almond croissants were 2 for £2.87, &'s for 25p per pack!!! Extras to hand on, bien sûr.😋
5. Strawberry wars continue, as does flowering. Slugs 2 - & 2 this morning. Another 20 figs yesterday, shared post-training. A definite Vegemite/marmite division, along with a fair few first-timers. Many more coming

Hello
The most beautiful sunset just now…unfortunately obscured by trees! But the most amazing colour.A quieter day. Up early as usual.Did a bit in the garden first thing, weeding, pruning.
Then trip to vets to see vet nurse. To be weighed before worm/flea treatment issued. He has lost 6kg in a year which is quite a lot. From post op to now. And lots of vomiting in between. Not to lose anymore and to pop in for monthly weigh ins. Thankfully he loves the vets!Home and just kind of pottered around. Stripped bed and just had to remake it so I could get in to bed 😆
Was dull until about 4pm and it’s been lovely since then.Made soup for lunch. And a crust less quiche which I had for lunch and tea.DD2 popped in with pup and had soup.8 -
Hi everyone.
Wow, it's been HOT today - phew!!!
I'm thinking I'd just love a little beach hut.....maybe not very practical as we are totally landlocked where we live!
Today's pleasures:
1) I am very tired so the pleasure has been pottering about a bit, sitting relaxing a lot and generally suiting myself what I did and didn't do. Some sitting on our new patio - just perfect - and when that got too hot I decamped into my summerhouse to read and snooze. A refreshing evening shower to wash away the stickiness and sleepiness was a lovely pleasure.
2) Feeling fat and stodgy after lots of rich food so our walk today was tough and it was hot but at least I did it and we are back into the swing of it.
3) Still eating up scrummy leftovers but sorted the fridge today and blobbed some stuff in the freezer so there will be some nice bits and pieces to pull out at a later date. Sister brought me home-grown mini cucumbers and green beans so they are incorporated into next few days' menus. Easy eating for the rest of this week.
4) Thoughts are turning to our family holiday in Northumberland at the start of September - us, brothers and their wives and sister and her hubby so eight of us in total for a week. Working out who is buying/taking what. Younger brother started the ball rolling by catching a very good offer on wine and stocking up - we have our priorities right!
5) I'm well into my latest very thick, 764 pages, and so far very good book. Nor too heavy for summer reading, a bit pick up and put down and not too taxing for a tired brain! Off to bed now to get comfy and to read for an hour or so.
Hope you've had a good day and that there's been some sunshine where you are.

Fab photos Ampersand
For yesterday,
Out early to the stables as I wanted to get back to watch the footie, lunged girlie and put some poles into the arena for added excitement, so exciting in fact that she jumped over a few!Back just in time, the atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic and it was lovely to see English & Aussie supporters sitting happily next to each other, if only the mens game was so cordial. Good game and great to see the Lionesses in the WC final for the first time.
Lovely friend came with her mobile dog grooming parlour and small dog had her shampoo & set ☺️Warm & muggy in the afternoon, sat in the shade and read my latest Louise Penny, after a brief rest I am back in Quebec with Armand.
New solar lights are very pretty once the sun goes down.7 -
Excellent news, SuffolkSue, at least you are now on the waiting list and hopefully won't have too long to wait.
Enjoy your lunch out x7 -
Along came the ...
Oooh. Jen sends herto Sue!
That bee good ...
All busy at the Docks. Work no play, and they pay!
Started the new season of Only Murders in the Building. BoPsie has bin lucking fourward to this with some ...
Had me bloods and me B4 LL5 checked out last weak. All I can say is that the 60's model is in original condition, with a couple of tears inn the upholstery. Jen gives added umph!
Was out and about last weak inn Bristol to major wobbleade emporium, but thirst train was cancelled so we delay repaid. Better inn the purse of the bursar than there greasy palms.
Then tuck BoPsie to the Italian where she showed off her glad rags! Wobbleade was taken.
Has bin to the paint store (Offer on and voucher) reddy to get brushed out. part of the hallway and the kitchen. We had leak inn the pan in the ensuite! Remember that to get the paint inn before the bank holiday!
Oh well. That is all for today. keep well!
Jen send out her
I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!8 -
We had an amazing time in Wales re-charging, but this week has proven a thud down as while away I developed some worrying symptoms, que a doctor’s appointment Monday, urgent scan Tuesday, phoned with results showing something, but they don’t know what Wednesday, referred to the 2-week urgent list today, with specific blood tests booked in next week. They aren’t sure one way or another if it’s the dreaded cancer, so it's being treated as if it is to see what the biopsy says.
1 Many washing loads achieved, and just about to re hang the freshly washed curtains.
2 Pork belly with greens and chic pea pasta was tea.
3 Just had a shopping delivery which had a cheeky pudding of a cream cake in.
4 Grated up and portioned up some things like bacon and cheese for the freezer we picked up from Costco.
5 Reading others pleasures making me smile.
