Hello
Dark o’clock already but it does mean the solar lights come on earlier.
Up early. Put on a washing as it was supposed to be dry…only it was first day back to school here so of course it rained!Home at 10am had my weetabix and a chat with the dog. Still pouring! So washing didn’t get out then.
Work was worked. An alright day. Day five done. Four to go! Hurrah! Tips were okay considering we weren’t too busy.Hurrah! The sun had came out ( yeah about 4 hours before!) so washing went out and was almost dried when I brought it in.Had leftover from work soup so took that and a doggy down to DD2. Dogs had a good run…the wee one can’t quite keep up with old boyo, who quite likes being chased! They’re funny!Nipped to l!dl seeing as I was in town and got food. There’s a 71p a carton difference in lactose free milk to tesco!Washed the fridge out before I restocked it.Downstairs is all today ( my Tuesday self will be impressed tomorrow)8 -
Morning
Lovely day at my sister in law’s wedding on Friday (my brother died 12 years ago, they were together for more than 50 years). Great to see her happy and catch up wIth the family 😊
But …. I started to feel unwell on Sunday afternoon and tested positive for Covid yesterday morning ☹️. Felt really awful yesterday . OH tested when he came home from work and he was positive too ☹️. So all appointments and socialising cancelled this week including our anniversary dinner out today (we’ve been together 21 years today ❤️). OH has gone to work as he works outside on his own, as long as he feels ok. We’ll probably have a takeaway delivered tonight if I feel up to it but haven’t felt like eating much for the last 2 days. I’ve ordered the pop master board game to be delivered today as a surprise present as he loves the quiz.
Hope everyone on here is ok, have a good Tuesday 😊6 -
Good morning. 🌞🌞🌞
The Chinese meal went well, despite all the dietary restrictions. Between the nine of us we managed most of a 'banquet '. It's so rare to have all immediate family together so it was a real treat.
We're now at the caravan beginning the big clear up. It's amazing how much stuff can accumulate in a small space in a short time. One trip to charity shop this morning and two bags sorted to go home.
Must admit, in this glorious weather we query our decision to sell. But even here DH has a phone appointment with consultant at Northern General scheduled for 8 this morning! I'm truly grateful for everything they're doing, but it does seem sometimes to be all encompassing. Selling the caravan will give us a bit more thinking space, I hope.
Watched Only Connect on catch up when I got up this morning. Answered even fewer than usual! Must be the wrong time of day!
Back to the sorting out. But I'm sure there'll be time for an ice cream and a look at the sea. Even though I'm on a pre-cruise diet!
Happy 🌞 day everyone

What rotten luck PH, hope you feel better soon x
For yesterday,
A warm, sunny day but on the drive to the yard I noticed that the leaves on the horse chestnut trees are on the turn, days march away.
My girlie worked well in the school and generally seems much happier after we sorted out the midge issue, tea tree bath afterwards, for her not me ☺️Lunch, then closed my eyes for a minute and woke up at 4pm!
Sat in the garden and read my book, small dog under my chair in the shade.
Easy tea of leftover chicken & salads followed by leftover profiteroles and strawberries, yum. Then downloaded the Archers omnibus and caught up on all things Ambridge.7 -
Good miorning.
We are back! Haven't totally caught up on what you've alll been up to yet, will have a coffee and a good read in a bit.
We have had a wonderful couple of days, the late summer weather was just glorious for sitting in fabulous gardens and just 'being'. No littlies or oldies to watch out for so we could just relax for a couple of days. Ate too much of course but managed to do some lovely shopping at both properties for later in the year so some pressies tucked away. Also been making more mini-break plans, think we are getting a taste for them!
Hope eveyone is ok and enjoying the lovely late summer sunshone - what a bonus!7 -
Oh, PaulieH, congratulations and commiserations in equal measure! Hope you are feeling better soon. Popmaster and a takeaway sound like you will be making the best of it. Take care!7

Paulie, Oh no, I hope you both feel much better very soon
Over a couple of days
1 Dinner is a chicken Kiev, oven chips and salad.
1 Watching Bob Ross, in awe, tempted to paint along to prove him wrong 😊
2 Cleaned out a junk drawer, one of those forever to do things on the list now ticked off the list.
3 A happy place in the garden with a book and cuppa. Admiring the sunflowers.
4 Fed the tomato plants with feed as a lot are staying stubbornly green.
5 Going to start re-watching Good Omens tonight before starting the second season.
1 The sun is back out so washing loads hung out and some pottering garden bits, picked 2 tubs of blackberries to freeze. I must remember to book in a tip run with the various gardening bags now cluttering it’s a carload now. Also planted 2 cherry sedums in the front garden where there were spaces to fill.
2 Spoke with DB and SIL, it was much needed.
3 Homemade burgers with a lot of salad, side of onion rings, mozzarella sticks and a couple of jalapenos.
4 Finished a good book.
5 A grilled bacon with chilli jam sarnie was lovely.
1 I talked with the specialist nurse who I got to make laugh, which was no mean feat, sadly the consultant made me have a wobble and completely sleepless night, but still trying to stay positive as nothing is known yet but I’m wavering now.
2 I’m booked in for Saturday at hospital, all incredibly fast.
3 I ranted and had a little cry, levelling out again now, of course a night’s sleep will help.
4 DH and I sat in the garden with a tea and cake looking up caterpillars on Google Lens.
5 Starting a new second hand book, this one is Kate Atkinson's Case Histories.
6 I must sort out our internet subscription tonight.

@Purple_kitten - I used to watch Bob Ross all of the time. Love "the happy little trees". The shows are still on over here and my roommate G loves to watch them now.8
