Feeling more positive having got some sleep.
1 Got on and mowed the lawns, got the wash loads hung out, vaguely tidied.
2 Bath then face pack feeling presentable.
3 Oven fish and chips as its traditional for a Friday.
4 A chat to a friend online.

Good morning. More sun! Much better than forecast.
P Kitten - fingers firmly crossed today. Many hugs x
DfV - I think the odds of you not talking to a guest in your home are not good!
At last. I got my hair cut. It should have been end of May but cancelled because of DH emergency hospital admission. Somehow not managed to find another spot until yesterday. It was like lockdown all over again! Anyway, now shorn! And money saving too, I suppose.
On a mission cleaning behind and under furniture. Don't worry. It won't last 😂
Lots of admin to catch up on today. Not a favourite job but some is to do with upcoming holiday so can't really complain about that.
A lazy weekend on the cards.. We tend to stay in over bank holidays!
Happy long weekend everyone

Morning all
Finally feeling a lot better and able to eat which certainly helps! OH wasn’t so bad and struggled into work (on his own) all week and showered and collapsed when he got home. He’s fed up though as he can’t taste anything, even his coffee! We won’t be going anywhere or doing anything this weekend as no energy although the house and garden really do need some attention. How does it get in such a mess in a week!?
Hope you are all doing ok and those with problems and appointments, get on ok.
have a good bank holiday weekend and l hope you get a little sunshine ☀️8 -
Hello again.
Sending positive vibes PK.
Some (sort of) pleasures, it's been one of those days....
1) Feeling pretty sorry for myself in a minor sort of way, my eye/face has flared up again, what a mess! My eyes started being sore and itchy yesterday but by this morning were so swollen I could barely open them, I'll spare you the gory details but they look like two massive black eyes and are very dry and painful. No idea why, I'm still using the oat cream and they had been getting so much better but through the day it's been spreading so I look like I've got the lurgy. The 'pleasure' is I'm back at the doctor on Thursday as a follow-up to the last flare-up.
2) Hubby's car, which failed its MOT, is very sick. He went out in it this morning and limped back (the car, not him), said it had made a loud bang and has sort of 'collapsed' on the driver's side. He knows what it is ( having hurt his back looking) and the 'pleasure' is that it should be fixable when the car goes in for scheduled work on Thursday. Hope so, we go on holiday on Friday!
3) Tried on clothes for the holiday and wish I had stuck to the diet as I look fat and frumpy in everything. Oh dear! The 'pleasure' is I will have enough to cover the week so don't need to buy any more clothes until I lose a few more dress sizes.
4) Had booked tickets to take little fella to the jousting tournament at the local castle. Luckily could borrow son's car as he wasn't needing it. Bit of a miserable afternoon as it poured down and was pretty chilly, even little fella is a bit tournamented-out now and wasn't too bothered about going to 'meet the knights' afterwards which I was glad about as I felt a bit stupid wearing big sunglasses in the rain and hubby was in a lot of pain from his back. The 'pleasure' was it got little grandson - and us - out and we didn't spend a fortune on tickets as we are EH members so got a very good reduction.
5) Best pleasure of the day is we are tucked up at home, even if feeling a bit bruised and battered, with nothing else that has to be done today. Tea is nearly ready, then a bit of easy watching on the box and an early night. Tomorrow is another day......
Hope you are enjoying the Bank Holiday and that the weather has been kinder where you are.

Hello
Just hoovered downstairs and about to do upstairs. Hairy dog!For Friday:
Met niece for breakfast at local garden centre.Headed to beach town to try and find a blooming storage locker for blooming £2 top! None in my town. Anyway got one. Also got some very beautiful RTC flowers.Stopped at beach on way back. I’ve never seen so many jelly fish in my life!Home and hello doggy! It was by now pouring.
Saturday:
Up early. Was a bit cool!
Went to skinny club but didn’t stay. Took doggy with me. We then headed to beach , it was the most beautiful morning. Tide was in and still loads of jellyfish so dog didn’t get off lead. Which was a shame but better that than sticking his nose in a stingy jellyfish!Stopped at garden centre on way home and bought 4 more glass hurricane candle holders that were very RTC . I’d bought two yesterday and wished I’d bought more. So snapped them all up. Used my tips.Been a lazy daisy most of the rest of the day…hence hoovering just now!Did a wee bit in the garden but it started to rain. Just trying to tidy up.Rain stopped and it’s now a beautiful evening.6 -
Pleasures for yesterday & today
1. Invited to friends with ds2. She had booked and paid for a full body massage at a salon near hers. Had dinner & stay overnight but was so relaxed I was struggling to keep my eyes open.2. A lady I met dog waking who looks after dogs took care of doggy overnight.
3. Rang pension people - letter has been sent & confirmed lump sum will be paid in next few days.
4. DS2 being more upbeat.
5. Some good buys from the charity shop - a Chelsea pottery bowl which is stunningly beautiful for £3 and 2 miniature pot hens for £2.50 - so cute.9 -
I was under prepared for today’s procedure which was supposed to be the biopsy, I saw the lump on screen, and there was an audible surprise in the room, by how much it's grown, they said as it will have to be removed soon now, they will do the biopsy then instead. They will sort out a date Tues/Weds.
They are going to knock me out, and I am quite frankly happy with that, as it was a painful procedure. But tonight, I am miffed it must happen again only next time I’m going to be groggy after, but I still appreciate them doing it.
1 We ordered in a Chinese and I have a voucher for “£10 off the next order, it was lovely and there’s plenty for lunch tomorrow.
2 Lots of animal cuddles.
3 Got in front of a massive storm cloud and grabbed the washing, wow there was sleet, hail, and rainbows.
4 The support from here and MIL/DB.

Animal cuddles really do help with the stress, don't they. Take care @Purple_kitten, we are pulling for you to get better. Eyes and fingers crossed.9

Purple Kitten - surprises are not wanted. However extra time with scalpel should mean less time wondering & more just getting in healing. Holding you all in my thoughts (& well done on both washing and rainbows)8
