Pleasures over last few days
1. Family visit including DM - busy but nice and lovely weather too.
2. SIL took Ds2 & dgs x 2 to Bangor racing so enjoyed a quieter day.
3. Easter Egg Hunt - dgc enjoyed it
4.New grandson doing well, blood sugar’s improving - should be able to go home in next few days.
5. Sleep such a relief to stop some days.
Ampersand - lovely to hear your baby news too.7 -
Good morning. Sunny so far but looks cold out there to me.
We've had a very quiet Easter here, deliberately so. We try to avoid going anywhere at bank holiday as it's always so busy, so had a quiet , poodling about time at home. Lots of bits of admin, housework and garden tidying done. Not much fun but glad it's out of the way.
Made a sort of trifle with my egg free cake, some bananas and some custard. Very nice too.
Re-watching Shetland from the beginning. They all look so young!
Back to normal today, starting with a trip to Sainsbury's. Oh, joy!
Happy Tuesday everyone

Yes Ampersand, that author is very local as lives in our village ☺️have read a number of her books.
For yesterday,
It was definitely bye bye nice weather as woke up to heavy rain & wind, compensation of boiled egg & soldiers for breakfast.
Horses kept in due to above, gave my girlie a long groom in her stable and chatted to other owners.
A mini nap after lunch.
Listened to the footie and for once we were the team getting a last minute equaliser, valuable point on our travels.
Sunshine & showers into the evening and a double rainbow.6 -
Morning all - COVID day 10 or so.
Pleasures for Sunday, Monday (days are very similar ATM).
1. Having a house big enough to isolate from DS in - we did a 'palms together' thing through the conservatory door which made us both laugh
2. Wrexham beat Notts County
3. nice bathy
4. no taste / smell means i've cut down on what i eat as there's not really much point
5. OH bought me a nice easter egg but i'll save it for when i can taste it.
Have a good day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens7 -

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Emails backwards and forwards to the solicitor about the Deed of Trust on my house (complicated leftover from getting divorced). I can see on their online portal that they have done 36% of the work towards selling my house and 6% of the work towards buying the new house!
3) Went round all the charity shops in Floody City but bought nothing. Had a pot of tea in Waitrose and did some Arabic.
4) Went with my brother to the local charity shops. Neither of us bought anything.
5) A very tasty tea of jacket potatoes with crab and salad.
6) Looking forward to watching Celebrity Hunted. The weather is awful at the moment so no walks today.8 -
Hello. Much rain battering against the window. Supposed to be dry by the morning. Hope so as my washing machine is full!Very lazy start to my day. Up with doggy first thing then went back to bed and just kept watching stuff! Though also had a chat with DD2 on her way to work and then a phone call to sister.
Eventually got up and went to supermarket. Bought 2 olive trees with my tips. Some rtc chocolate.
Home and hung out washing. Was about 2/3 dry when the rain started later. Put heating on for a wee while as I was having guests.
Sorted my flowers. Birthday flowers still going strong.
Dinner was gammon cooked in slow cooker. It’s gone up in price since I bought last month. Had roasted potatoes, carrots and parsnips and broccoli and sprouts. Then I’d filled RTC chocolate eggs with cheesecake mix and topped with RTC mini eggs. A very yummy pud.Evening of laughter and chatter.Just done all the dishes and put them away and kitchen looking spotless!7 -
1 Dropped DH’s car in to have the air con fixed before the rush when it gets warm.
2 Lovely to have my car back on the road, even if there are maniacs out there, I like my car but it’s being pushed off the road with the ulez, I’ll have to look at a replacement soon.
3 We went to the next town on and treated ourselves to a brekkie it was amazing and included tea and toast, I always love it when someone else has all that washing up.
4 A round of the charity shops but very underwhelming, we spent a pound on 3 toys for the ferrets and a pound on 3 books.
5 Just had the MSE email and pre ordered the gardeners world magazine.

For yesterday,
Quick trip into horsey town to top up food stores, no coffee as had horses to see.
At the stables, worked girlie in school, she was really good and I’m one happy Mum. She got warm so a wash down then turned back out to enjoy an afternoon of sunshine.
Made a loaf then popped out to fill car up, with PK on general numptiness of some drivers as followed home from garage by a car who was so close to my boot that they could almost change my radio station! A mum with a child in the passenger seat and if I had to brake in an emergency they wouldn’t stand a chance, scary stuff.
A restorative cup of tea and hot x bun.
Watched the first half of the footie then the last episode of the AC murder mystery, remembered who did it half way through but enjoyable all the same.
