So good to 'see' you, villagelife. Been thinking about you and hoping you and your family were ok.

1 Spent time doing a little gardening in the sun, very theraputic if you don't look at it as a whole list of to do things..
2 Postponed the shopping delivery as we have plenty to use up.
3 Didn’t order in despite the temptation, I grilled marinaded chops and made some cawli cheese, all very tasty.
4 Ordered a couple of little things for DHs birthday, ahem, I may also have ordered 2 summer tops for me 75% off in the sale.
5 Rather overwhelmed with fleece and ferret bedding, I decided to clear a cupboard that has inkahol in and move it to where we would drink/cook it if wanted. Also cleared out a big drawer of old laptop cases and bags, why do they need to take up space. I’m really pleased it’s all tidied away, also created a big recycling bag of stuff. Three quarters of the spare bed in the spare room is actually now free and clear.

Hello on Good Friday.
Brief pleasures today:
1) A glorious day and more nice weather forecast.
2) My patio and path to the summerhouse are all laid, the cracks will be filled with resin tomorrow.
3) Builders here all day and scheduled for Saturday and Sunday too. Things are moving on at a good pace.
4) Made a lemon and elderflower cake, littlest grandson has nearly demolished it.
5) Not a fan of Easter, but today has been busy and productive.
Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine and the long weekend.8 -
It’s been a very Good Friday
started our day at the beach. Down there for 7am. Lovely drive there and back. Fields all frosty. Last of the verge side daffs. Blossom on trees.Fabulous walk along the beach. Tide was so far out. And there was a heron in one of the ‘river’ bits…I call them rivers as they are too deep for me to traverse but they are just where there are sandbanks as the tide was so far out. It was just standing so still and then flapped its big wings and off it flew.Home and waited for DD2 to come over. She brought her washed washing to dry on my line! The washing line in their garden is broken. However it made me happy to have washing out as it was such a nice day!I’ve ordered new garden furniture. With 30% discount and free delivery. Should come by end of next week.Went to garden centre for a cheese scone and a wander.Stopped at B and q on the way home. I had a £10 off a £30 spend voucher. So was in for plants and was delighted there was a further 20% off all plants so ended up getting loads! Then went to next and bought DD2 some cushions for her sofa ( I love cushions!) then back to hers and sorted through some bags/boxes.Home and hello doggy! Then it was out in the garden to get some painting done.It was such a smashing afternoon.Continuing with the Night Agent…I thought it only had 6 episodes and was nearly finished! It has 10 so I’m still going!Dog boy enjoying the puddles of sunshine in the house. He seeks them out.All day I’ve thought it was Saturday as I’ve done Saturday things so I’ve an extra day to enjoy tomorrow ( before the crazy work day on Sunday)8 -
Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Did some vague tidying up and a load of washing.
3) Did some Arabic.
4) Went to chess at 11. Played 4 games. Lost 3 then won the last 1.
5) Went to the football with smaller son. The first win at home since January with the goal scored after 30 seconds! A lovely sunny day as well.
6) We are just finalising the arrangements for Park Run tomorrow as I type. I will have to be a driver and my colleague is doing the drinks and biscuits as so many people are on holiday. I will be doing the pick up at 8.10 in the morning. I haven't got up and got anywhere that early in months!8 -
1) a long walk in beautiful sunshine
2) so many skylarks. We apparently have resident ones and they are joined by visiting ones. Walked down a bridle path between two fields of their nesting sites.
3) walking by myself so was able to stand and listen to the birds, stop and take photos and sit on village benches and sip coffee
4) walking through sheep on the nature reserve (though my shoes are a bit whiffy from that)
5) feeling like the solo walk in the sunshine was a hug to my soul, wiping away some of the stressful working week and making me feel more like myself.
7) saw some busy bumble bees
8) a trip to a diy store with OH in the afternoon, bought some tomato plants and some herbs and planted them up.
9) overall a lovely start to 6 days off work.

Pleasures over last few days.
1. A new baby grandson born today, I am biased but he is gorgeous.
2. A weekend off for a change
3. Chippy Tea
4. Lovely doggy walk in the sunshine with a new friend and her doggy - shown some new areas to walk nearby.
5. DM, DD, SIL & DGC have come down to visit this weekend.
6. DS2 seeming in better spirits today, he has been a bit fed up, still no date for the further surgery he needs, think he feels a bit in limbo and he has the realisation that it’s going to take a while before he can learn to walk again.
7. Finally got the grass cut, this was a job that DS2 used to do for me.7 -
More beautiful osps, newlywed.

1. Outdoor Good Friday service in ancient church grounds was special, filled with spring flowering all about and in sunshine.
Good attendance, circa 50!
2. Saw this on way out, its 2nd year pushing up through tarmac, with two flower stems as well.
3. Out on time:👍🦚🏉😇 https://online.fliphtml5.com/jqhbt/snlc/#p=1:
For all sorts of reasons, & will support in person demain. It's over 100 miles each way, but off we'll go, Ms Fizzy Doblo and &.
First extended run, so will be good to see how diesel economy pans out. It's a big Must Win match for any Papa John advance, but with a scratch team, as so many are away for Easter, long-planned.
On verra. The RFU investigation into last week's opponents and refereeing continues, being taken very seriously, as it should be.
4. Frith- another stirring pic for big son. Late Simnel cake, just out - looking and smelling good. Love my hand-carved spoon.
(Pic to insert when poss.)
5. Met 3 charmers today, Ethan, Molly and Toby, pushchair age triplets, shopping with Mummy and Grandma. Happy smiles from all 5. And, just this evening, learning that newest relly, Thea Jane Margaret, has safely arrived in NZ - beautiful name for an Easter newborn.

Easter - it's so much more reflective than Christmas for & and may be so for many here, with seasonal changes and spirits lifting as days lengthen, plus many shades of green and colour coming to life.
Looking forward to Sunday and Lent abstinence being over - a little choc+wine and rather more everything dairy returning,😇🥰CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Good morning. Was misty but now beautifully sunny
VJ's mum. - Very envious of your Vietnam trip. It sounds wonderful. We were there a while back but only for 3 days. Would love to go again, and try to master crossing the road!
Topsy and Ampersand - nothing better than welcoming a new baby.
V Life - so glad you are getting much needed support at this difficult time
A good Good Friday. Our nearby garden centre has a butcher's and a green grocer's at the weekend so we went to stock up. Us and everyone else from miles around I think! But it's a big place so it was ok.
I made an egg free cake. My egg allergy has got worse and I now can't even eat cake! Anyway, this was the easiest cake ever. I didn't really think it would work but it did, and it's lovely. Got DH deal of approval too.
DS came round for tea. His family had all gone to York for the day to the railway museum but he was working all day. It was actually good to see him on his own. I do love the DGC but it sometimes makes conversation tricky!
Not much planned today so I think a quick lick and a promise housework then some gardening in the sunshine
Happy Saturday everyone8
