Welcome to the world little ones.
For yesterday,
Up with the larks and in Bury St Eds for 8am as we wanted to visit the Marks Food hall for some long weekend treats, it was blissfully quiet and I could browse.
We then treated ourselves to breakfast out followed by a trip to a bookshop to spend much appreciated token from darling nieces, very much shocked by cost of new books as pick majority of mine up in either chazzers or from WOB but after much perusal narrowed it down to two.
Home, still only 10ish, darned a couple more of winter socks before packing them away at back of drawer and bringing lighter ones forward, 🤞I won’t need them again until autumn.
Listened to football and second win on bounce, avoiding relegation will be hard but we keep the faith.
Made a fish pie for tea then watched another two episodes of early Shetland.

Happy Easter 🐣. Enjoy the time off and The sunshine. Congratulations to the new arrivals.
Back from Cornwall, a lovely few days away but it is such a long way!
Yesterday I did some shopping, took OH to see his mum and lots of washing! Soon back in the old routine. In the afternoon/evening we watched tv, ate some chocolate and had chicken Kiev for dinner.
it was misty earlier but the sun is out now. I suppose I had better rouse myself, plan is to sow some tomato, squash, pepper and runner bean seeds and cut the grass (OH still on crutches, so down to me)
have a super weekend 😊

Hello all - pleasures for yesterday
1. waking up in my own bed - was awake in the night but that's to be expected
2. the more unpleasant covid symptom abated meaning trips to the loo were far fewer
3. sat on the sofa watching rubbish tv all afternoon - i know i'm not myself if i'm doing that.
4. sunshine - believe it or not we've seen almost none in Vietnam (though it was hot, it was hazy / cloudy most of the time)
5. laundry drying outside.
Have a great rest of day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens8 -
Two new laid eggs.
Washing drying in the sunshine in the garden.
DH gave the lawn its first cut in the week and it is greening up.
Magnolias in bloom, Mum loved to see them.
The plum blossom survived the frost.

Hello
All is calm and quiet after an afternoon of not so much!At beach for 7am. Amazing. Truly our happy place.
Nice drive there and back. Ploughed fields. Lambs. Castle.Nipped into supermarket on way home.
Washing out and dry by lunchtime.
Popped over to pick up some brownies from a local baker and dropped off something at friends on way back. Took doggy with me.
DD2 was here when I got back. She was going to pick up the kids for an afternoon of Easter fun.
Played a game, decorated eggs, had an egg hunt, they went down woods whilst I cooked dinner. We had chicken wrapped in soft cheese and bacon, roast potatoes and parsnips, broccoli, carrots, mange tout and some real food sprouts.
Brownies for pud with strawberries.Photos and then see ya!And sigh…peace and quiet Mr Dog, isn’t it nice! And by midweek it might feel too quiet but for now it’s nice!Early to bed tonight, huge day at work tomorrow with a very early start!8 -
Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep, though an early start.
2) I picked the chaps up at 8.10 and drove to Park Run. I've never driven before, just been a passenger, so drove extremely carefully! The weather was perfect and we had a good chat as we walked round. One guy had gone in front slightly and was deep in conversation with a random person also doing Park Run. By absolute fluke, it was the mum of someone I had been to primary school with! So I had a chat with her, then everyone chatted to her, then her husband and my friend appeared (they had done the run then walked back), then all the guys who had run appeared and it was like a party.
We had tea and coffee at a picnic table and did a bit of Arabic (I had already found I can't speak it and drive simultaneously). Then I drove different 3 guys back and it was all very pleasant.
3) Got various jobs done then sat in the garden to read the free Waitrose paper.
4) Smaller son wanted to go for a walk so we did about half an hour at the back of the Safari Park.
5) Phoned my school friend.
6) Did a roast chicken.
7) Will watch Casualty later.8 -
For yesterday,
A lie-in followed croissants and coffee.
Nice morning with lots of sunshine, bit more done in the garden, looks like I’ve lost my Rudbeckia to the wet winter but will see, deadheaded the daffs and tied them up.
Over to see my equine friend, she had been out without her rug and needed a good brush down, we then went for a little wander around the fields which was nice in the sunshine and we saw a number of hares.Capt S had popped a couple of jacket spuds in the oven so just reheated some chilli when I got home.
Read my book about Elizabeth of York then we watched some more Magpie Murders.7 -
Happy Easter everyone .Thank you for being my friends6

1. Happy Easter! Spot the hand-carved wooden spoon at work last Friday. & thanks Elder Son of Frith every time it's used.😀 Late Simnel cake was marzipanned with 13 diners and is 'lish.😋
2. Camberley RFC and back in Fizzy Doblo yesterday, quite a trek. We lost - with 3 yellows, then Captain red-carded at last minute!......wh-a-a-a-a-at? None of them has ever had any disciplinary anything, ever! Bizarre refereeing, again! He was totally at sea and our ad hoc 1st time team, blending Colts' youth and experience, played well. Post-match, & overheard their fullback telling 2 friends 'They definitely scored in the corner, but our linesman called it out' with much laughter....😡🤬👹.
3. Large congregation and big singing earlier. Retired RB is so good - and was again - about who JC spent time connecting and consorting with by choice.....not the already convinced. Right up &'s street.
4. Lent now over so choc, dairy and wine can rejoin &'s menu. Makes & sound like an obese chocoholic wino - t'aint the case.😁 & has had 2 deux petits cafés au lait, an rtc pain au chocolat bought last week for this day and a Hot Cross bun, bien-beurré. Only🍷to go, as dipped Communion wafer isn’t that.
5. Watched this busy chap not 2 metres away after service, struggling to get airborne. Love jackdaws. He kept refining and reloading his beak, then up, UP and AW-A-A-A-Y!
