2. fridge fairy flew in again
3. out for lunch with OH and DDΒ
4. We'll gloss over OH's and my trip to the cinema, we walked out after an hour cos the film was soooo boring but i got my watch strap mended on the walk home
5. Also did a little binging of 'unforgotten'Β
6. did some ancestry.Β I still think OH is descended from royalty somehow but not sure exactly how
And today
1. had a haircut.Β I'm growing in the silvers and liking the colour that's coming.Β it's shorter than it's been for years
2. a walk in the arboretum with a friend and lunch
3. cooked a chilli
4. plumber fixed a leak in the bathroom.Β Only a little leak but it has done a bit of damage in the room below..
5. now watching footie with DS.
Have a great evening.ΒI wanna be in the room where it happens11 -
The Admiral is over the moon.
Moor later, wooblesades are pored.ΒI work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!11 -
@Vjsmum, According to Gilbert Doane, an English genealogist, if you are at least 1/4 European, you have royal ancestors. It is just the steps in between that take awhile to prove. My theory is if they lived in 1215 and left descendants, they are your ancestor. Most of us are descended from King John and those Barons many times over. There just weren't as many people then.13

Admiral - should we pour ourselves some wooblesades to be ready to celebrate too. Right now, that sounds good to me. We got hail in Anaheim - the first time since the 1960s.Β11

2) and i got a free lunch (very mse)
3) found some ginger chai in my drawer - rather past sell-by date but lish
4) DS gets the keys to his new flat Friday so long as no more hiccups - hooray

MHags - I can remember where I was when I read your post, 6 years ago. I hope you are doing OK.
Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep. Another tense dream involving trains! This is a recurring theme at the moment.
2) Did a quick tidy of the house, as it was already so immaculate for the viewing yesterday.
3) I went to carpet town and did an hour of Arabic in M and S cafe. I went round the charity shops. I didn't buy anything (looking for something specific for bigger son's new house) but did see a huge stack of Denby plates for Β£40. I knew someone volunteering in one of the shops and, though I know him quite well and he is very chatty, for some reason we got very embarrassed meeting in different circumstances and I got flustered and had to buy a book for something to say!Β
4) Had meals from the freezer for tea.
5) Went to a different chess club from normal. I had one game with a young man, two games with a man who might be Polish, then two games with Harry. I lost all of them but the games ran to 20 minutes or so.

Good morning.Β Looks cold out there today.
Mhagster - many hugs.Β And praise be for lovely family and friends.
BoP - the lads done good!Β Β
The temp traffic lights are back!Β We have two games we play.Β How far can we get before we meet temporary traffic lights?Β Anything between 200 yards and half a mile.Β And how many sets between home and where we're going?Β Β Record of 5 sets in less than a mile.Β Then they all went away. But now two lots are back!!
Had lunch out yesterday because I would be out at teatime.Β Posh burger place and very nice too.
First floristry lesson at local college.Β DD wanted to go so I signed up too. We made a triangle arrangement and I'm so proud of it! And I've got a proper student ID badge.Β On a lanyard!
Think it might be fish pie for tea.Β One of my favourite foods!
Happy Thursday everyone8 -
Such anniversaries are so bittersweet, hugs Mhags.
Congratulations to the Admiral.
For yesterday,
Few chores and errands, inc more bird food from garden centre, they are really going through it now.
Blossom coming out in the hedges.
With equine girlie, tidied up her legs, mane & tail. Time slips by so easily at the stables and before you know it hours have gone past, itβs called yard time and a well known phenomenon amongst horse owners!
Home and there was a bag hanging on the garden gate with yarn in, I can now mend my wool socks, thanks B x
Tasty tea, pork steaks and root vegetable bake, I love a one pot meal and so does the chief washer-upper.7
