2 Pick an excuse, CBA it’s pizza day nationwide apparently, ordered in.
3 Very loving animals, all concerned and cuddly on me.
4 Numerous bulb leaves are sprouting around the garden and the memorial crocuses are coming up by colour patches, so far a purple and yellow patch.

Good luck, PK.
Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Cleaned the house vaguely, including the bathroom. A proper mould doing as well.
3) Went to the local farm shop with my mum and dad for lunch. I don't think I had seen them yet this year.
4) Went to floody town for the charity shops but didn't buy anything.
5) Took smaller son to Sainsburys and, goodness knows how miniscule the chances were, drove past the Gentleman and his friend, crossing the road. I said, "Oh God, there he is!" in alarm to smaller son. As I drove on, smaller son chatted about him and thought I meant the other man. I said no and he said, "Oh, that little short man?" which made me chuckle a bit! He did not see us.
6) Made a complicated chicken dish for tea with pomegranate molasses and walnuts.
7) My brother popped in as he was going to be picked up from here and taken out for an Indian meal. We had a game of chess. I lost but I maintain it was because I was going in and out of the kitchen, making the tea. I have to stay awake now to collect him later.10 -

For yesterday,
Into horsey town for provisions and on to next village on to drop off bag of warm clothes for transport to Turkey.
Our window cleaner turned up, he was meant to come a couple of weeks ago but has had that flu, we commiserated with each other on the general nastiness of the virus.
At the yard and had a chat with a freelance instructor about working with each other, eyes on the ground would be good.
Tasty tea, veggie samosas with a chick pea & lentil dhal, yum.
Heard the sad news about Burt Bacharach, he was a favourite of my M&D and so was the soundtrack of my childhood, RIP sir and thank you for the music.11 -
Good afternoon. Our lovely bright sun has gone!
PK - keeping fingers crossed.
Our passports have arrived. They obviously decided our dodgy photos weren't too bad. All done in 12 days, and kept informed every step of the way. Very efficient. And the MSE bit....it's cheaper to do it online, and we just beat the price rise. Win, win!
Went to visit my friend in hospital yesterday and was quite worried. 24 hours after the op and she was quite dopy. The strange thing was she'd rung me about two hours post op and was fine. Anyway been back today and she's back to normal! They have altered her pain meds and all is well. Phew!
With help of DH, moved all bedroom furniture and cleaned behind. Spring must be in the air!
BLT for tea. A favourite.
Happy Friday everyone8 -
Evening all
Pleasures for yesterday
1. A beautiful day in the valley - glorious
2. A US Hercules (A lockhead C130) plane flew over, very low (apparently at about 200 feet) three times! Servicemen were seen on the rear 'ramp'
3. More bonfiring and clearing of the arisings from tree felling. Have earmarked a pile for our woodburner
4. A 'farewell' do for the general manager who is off to pastures new. The lunchtime one was tea and cupcakes.
5. A further 'farewell' do in the evening. This time with free pizza or burger. Nice to see friends.
Have a good evening.I wanna be in the room where it happens8 -
