2) after teaching walked home - absolutely lovely weather - made lunch, got lift up to Ninewells from mum who then went to the tip
3) dd2 was on much delayed bus which happens to stop at ninewells so worked on till then and caught the bus back with her
4) mum had made scrummy sausage and bean cassoulet and guess what despite me having seconds there's plenty left
5) Just listened to Tallis (radio 3 composer of the week) while finishing marking a thesis and now i'm listening to scary monsters. some might say from the sublime to the ridiculous.

The Golden ratio is superb, dd.
Coming here to post this, far from osps -#Absolute🙏now and a strong belief in &'s MP, Kieran, being the right man in the right place at this time.
More DG t'internet, with intermittent connection to oldest schoolfriends, all being lashed by Gabrielle. But, can't yet connect with family, also right in the critical pathway.
Everyone take care. Being aware is a big part of being prepared.

Good morning. Sunny again 😃
D Doll - love the golden ratio days. But as Highdays says - retirement is a wonderful thing!!
Last few days a bit blurred cos I've been feeling whammy ( medical term!). Not proper poorly but slight temp, achy, scratchy throat etc. We've only got one covid test left so I've just kept away from people!
Best friend back home from hip operation but I can't go visit ( even if it's not covid she can do without whatever it is just now!). She lives alone so another friend had moved in with her until she's more mobile.
Done a few bits of sorting and house is looking tidier.
Made a crochet spring chicken for my spring/ Easter decorations. It's the only spring chicken in this house!
Happy Valentine's Day. Hope everyone who wants one gets a card!8 -
Afternoon all. Love the golden days thing DD
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Didn't crash OH's car (though i came a bit too close for comfort 😯🤦♀️)
2. OH says he's thinking of selling said car 🥳 Personally i don't know why he bought it in the first place. I hate the bloomin thing.
3. my last research lecture - although i've enjoyed them, it's one fewer lecture to prepare every week and i get my Monday afternoons back.
4. an evening in by the fire - though i struggled to stay awake.
5. lots of daffs in the garden.
Have a good evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens9 -
Up early as that’s just when I wake up!Took rubbish/ recyclable stuff to tip.
Went to supermarket that end of town and bought a new bin. Having just chucked out the old bin with a hole in the bottom ( no idea!)Took faulty power washer back and bought another.Home. Briefly.Out for a business meeting that went very well and I got the gig!Home. Hello doggy. Then an hour of my life I will not get back but will certainly be seeking recompense for! A letter from DVLA saying I wasn’t insured to drive…er excuse me! I’d paid. They had my money, I was not insured. I am utterly horrified and absolutely furious. The customer service on the phone this afternoon was atrocious and I do hope they use the recorded calls for quality and training purposes! And can I please have the email address to send a complaint. Oh! This took a further 8 minutes to be given. It was as simple as customer.services@the insurance company.com! Anyway I am now insured to drive!Quick chat with sister. Then Tuesday tea. As friend came over. Much to chat about.Bedtime and I’m tired so I’m hoping I sleep better tonight.10 -

Hi everyone
Lainey - hope you are ok. I'm sure you are, but missing you!
Brief pleasures today as youngest grandson is in for tea:
1) Youngest grandson is in for tea. He doesn't like wearing clothes (!) so is just in his jazzy boxers, his nickname is Pants Boy. Hope he grows out of the habit of taking everything off at the first opportunity...
2) Half term so treated him - and us - to lunch out today. I browsed the stores afterwards while hubby took him to the fun park.
3) We go away a fortnight today and I need to focus on losing a few pounds beforehand so stocked up on expensive but scrummy fruit and veg, maybe not that expensive compared to cakes, biscuits and chocolate!
4) I've bought another supermarket frock, just as nice as any I saw in the posh shops today. Black and white, will go nicely with my long black cardi and black boots and make a nice outfit for one of our nights at the gastro pub when we go away - very smart casual - but will also be fab on its own with sandals for summer. Under twenty quid, it would have been rude not to!
5) As we had lunch out we won't bother with tea for us as we are still full, maybe some cheese and biscuits and fruit later if we get peckish. A nice, easy food day for me today - well, it IS half term after all.
Right, off to chat to the little man for a bit, catch you later.
