For yesterday,
Still woke up at normal time but being the weekend I lay in bed reading for an hour.
Spent most of the morning pottering, got a piece of brisket into the slow cooker and made a loaf of bread.
Lunch and then over to see the pony, realised as I drove home how much happier I am at this yard, far better facilities for my girl plus for me there is always someone about to chat and interact with.
Very hungry when I got back so had fresh bread & cheese, trouble is then we weren’t hungry for any tea and just grazed for rest of day, oh well.
Watched a smashing film, Bank of Dave, real heartwarming stuff.8 -
Good morning. And a fine one too!
Oh Frith. What a tangle! I hope there are calmer waters ahead.
Topsy T - ah well! What's meant for you won't pass you by. And it's all good practice for the job that's out there waiting for you. And gives you a bit more time to help get son sorted out.
I've just been watching two blackbirds courting. The lady is such a tease!
Sciatica is settling down. It's fine as long as I keep moving but still hurts when sitting down. I'm a sort of land locked Flying Dutchman!. Must keep on the move.
Met DD yesterday for coffee and cruise planning! The Med this time including some places we've not been to ( Genoa, Marseille) and some we have ( looking forward to seeing Rome again). Not until September but the excitement starts here! Not very MSE either I suppose but all the frugality over the year helps to pay for it.
New crochet hooks not arrived yet so amusing myself making collections on Pinterest and YouTube.
Nearly finished my last remaining Louise Penny book but today there are some Number One Ladies Detective Agency books for 99p each on kindle so think I'll re-read some of them next
DGD coming this morning to do some English homework ( and avoid going to her brother's football match, I think!)
Happy Sunday everyone

Hello! Day one of two done! ( hurrah!)
Up early…and oops I’d set alarm for 3am as well as 5am!Walk with doggy first thing was all crisp and frosty and beautiful moon.
Then walked to work for a change. Was the most beautiful sunrise as I walked. And all frosty and crunchy underfoot.
Work…well joy is it’s done, wasn’t particularly joyful but decent tips ( which I forgot to lift) and it’s over!Walked home. Was lovely. Went via boss to drop stuff off then back downhill to mine. Was lovely fresh air ( probably just felt fresh after a day in a hot kitchen) met chap that was at allotment with so had a quick blether with him and his doggies. And home and hello doggy!Hot shower and jammies on.Chat to friend on phone.
Beautiful sunset
Beautiful full moon right outside my bedroom window!11 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Pottered round the house and bigger son made us breakfast wraps.
3) Went to M and S cafe and had 2 pots of tea in a row and did 1.5 hours of Arabic.
4) I cleaned the bathroom and have put a load of washing on.
5) I walked about 2.5 miles in the forest.
6) I spoke to my school friend who was very kind about what has been going on.
7) Sainsburys have just delivered an order.10 -
Evening all 😊
Not been on lately as life hasn’t been giving me much pleasure the last 2 weeks (problems with son’s finances causing me a lot of stress, then my dodgy back seized up making walking nigh on impossible leading to cancelling outings such as lunch out and concert).
Anyway moving on: my back is easier today and I’ve got a telephone appointment with doctor tomorrow and I’ve chased up physio referral.
Lovely sunny day and I did a few small jobs in the garden.
Glimpses of the beautiful moon tonight, it was a lovely blue and then I realised I was looking at it through the blue stained glass diamond in my window 🤣
Very nice dinner of pork fillets in a creamy cider sauce with mash potatoes, sprouts (proper food) carrots 🥕 and peas 😋
Happy Valley tonight. 😊
Here’s to a better week

Good morning. Very bright red sky last night and paler red this morning. Very confusing for shepherds!
Paulie - oh no. Bad backs are awful. It just seems to totally take over your world. Hope the physio helps.
S Sue - Sounds very scary but what a wonderful GP. You wouldn't even have got an appt yet with mine!
Lovely morning yesterday with DGD. Finished off Eng homework then hot chocolate, cookies and chatter.
New crochet hooks are here. They're great. Chunky handle but soft. Now to find the best wool ( yarn really, I suppose)
Re-juggled budget. We do this now and then but it rarely lasts long. It does give us an idea of what's what though.
Sciatica virtually gone so going to yoga this morning. Will be very tentative yoga for me!
Happy 🌞 day everyone
