Oh, Frith, the whole thing is a total nightmare isn't it? These buyers came to view then we heard no more for nearly a month so assumed they had gone elsewhere then back they came with a builder to look at what could be done and then a mad, frantic rush. The waiting for something - anything - to happen is a nightmare if you are the kind of person, like me, who likes to be in control because you are just not! Just remember, what's for you won't go by you and hold tight xx10

Highdays an emotional and busy day.
1. A walk along the beach and a paddle but was very cold.
2. Lovely lunch at a local restaurant.
3. Arranged to meet up with friends
4. Good flight home.
DS1 has so much of the his wedding sorted and there are limited numbers due to space and money.
DH decided to tell him by text that DH best friend plus 1 needs to be invited. If this happens a bridesmaid plus 1 can't come. I am livid with DH as he said he wants nothing to do with the wedding unless this person is invited. Putting it into more context myself and DH have only met the person once for a meal and DS1 and girlfriend have never met him. If it was a large wedding and we were contributing financially I would understand more but as it is I don't understand at all but he is refusing to listen.
Sorry for the rant.11 -
Highdays am loving the Shardlake books just as much the second time around, hugs re the family home, it’s such a tough path to tread.
For yesterday,
Funnily enough it was the 6 year anniversary of losing DM, my first thought on waking was this time etc we had an hour or so left, hardest thing ever had to do but oh she lived a life and is missed every single day.
Early morning cuddles with small dog with a cup of honey & lemon, a habit that seems to have stuck after having the flu.
The Archers omnibus had just finished when eldest DSS arrived for a coffee and a catch up, he should fly back towards end of week to resume overseas job.
Tasty if late lunch of HM chicken & ham pie with mashed swede & carrot plus broccoli.
Rest of day spent reading and watching footie then the unexpected pleasure of a new series of Vera.10 -
Good morning. Not much weather here today, and that's a good thing after the recent wind and rain.
V Life - that sounds very tricky. It's hard for your son to decide on that one. I hope sense will prevail.
Highdays - And breathe!! Well done for reaching that point so quickly. Try to have an easy week to let things settle down in your mind. Be kind to yourself
Coffee and croissants are a Sunday morning treat here. Much easier now we have the air fryer.
D Doll. - sounds like a chat up to me 😃 Are you pleased? Will you respond?
A weekend of clearing and sorting. Did lots of admin. Decided on a budget of sorts, though from past experience it probably won't last long. Came up with a vague holidays plan. That stands a better chance of success 😂
Made a curry to use up lots of bitsas. Was very good. Was going to make a cake but there are lots of odd buns/ slices of cake / pieces of pie in the bottom of the freezer so will use them first. Very MSE!
Yoga today. Will drop off the finally completed gloves for DGD on the way.
Happy Monday everyone9 -

Ooo, we had gone on to page 2. Poor show!
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son had a good day at work and smaller son also seems quite contented today.
3) I pottered around during the morning doing only the most essential jobs.
4) English lessons this afternoon. I took the tennis rackets and they will be loaned out to people. Interestingly, one of the people today said what his name meant (it is Arabic) and I got home, went on Duolingo to practise, and it was the first new word that came on the screen!
5) Talking of Duolingo, the total of Arabic I have learned today overtook the amount of Welsh.
6) Popped to M and S for a pot of tea after the English lesson.
7) A cheating M and S pie has just gone in the oven for our tea.
8) It is not very warm now so it'll be 2 hwbs later and watch tv in bed after tea.9 -
Hello from the land of cold ( I remember I used to work in the land of heat at this time of year!)
So alarm set for up for work this morning. The time allows for doggy walk, doggy cuddles, shower, getting dressed, maybe a bit of pottering around…and defrosting the car windows. It did not include the key not going in the lock! All frozen! Couldn’t get in my car ! And it seems I wasn’t the only one round here. I’ve never known this to happen! Anyway eventually got in ( poured warm water)
Anyway in to work with a mid morning reprieve and home to see my doggy for a while. Sat and had cuddles and a chat! Then back to work which was fine. Busy without being crazy and fabulous tips! Good company and the odd laugh! Glad it’s done though! Then home with some leftover soup that colleague forgot to lift so I thought I’ll take it however it got tipped up in my work bag. I only realised when I heard the dog making a funny slurping noise! Thankfully I heard him or it would have soaked through to my new rug! The mess! Oh my goodness! And the nooooo as it had went through a plastic folder and over two of my work notebooks…thankfully managed to rescue a big account scribblings and lists! ( though I have it all on email I do like a handwritten list and notes too) so that’s all laid out on top of tea towels to dry and then I’ll transfer it to a new book!DD2 was not going to be home then was then wasn’t then was! So she picked up pies and beans at supermarket on way home and a quick 10 minutes in airfryer and they were ready.10 -

1) lovely walk into work (though my hands got cold even with gloves)
2) got a frog eaten - a report i've been putting off for nearly 6 months (no i don't know why either!)
3) put on call the midwife and did my 23 minute mrssd declutter
4) then onto the exercise bike (mrpiano's old one so very good quality) for the rest of it
5) and realised the desk in the corner of my bedroom is exactly what i need for my new home office. so all very mseMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Struggling to find pleasures today
DS2 came off his scooter today, ended up breaking his femur and another bone near his knee, it was an open wound. Pleasures are the wonderful emergency services and trauma team. He has had surgery and is now on a ward at the big hospital in Cambs.
I am now on days off thank goodness and I’m finally in bed.11
