Ampersand look after yourself and take time to make sure you fully recover.
Topsyturphy baby news how exciting.
For Friday.
1. Enjoyable dog walk and had a stand off with a large deer and enormous antlers. He was standing at the entrance of the footpath we needed to go up. We were staring at each other for a few minutes before he slowly turned round and walked into the woods.
I had seen the deer first so had managed to put the dog on his lead.
There is a deer park but quite a few escaped a few years ago when a gate was left open.
2. Long chat with dog owner.
3. House tidier- things put away and looks much better.
4. Chat with my parents on the phone.
5. Packed and good drive to Stansted to stay for night before early flight.
For Saturday
1. On holiday for 6 days.
2. Warm, sunny weather.
3. Met friends for lunch - inexpensive and free limoncello to finish.
4. Snooze in the afternoon - outside lying on a sunlounger.
5. Very funny clip that DS2 sent us. We were both crying with laughter.6 -
Many congratulations Topsyturphy 🎉
For yesterday,
Sleep doesn’t get any better, from 4am to 8am was best to be had, oh well awake it is then.
Breakfast, then prepped pork for the slow cooker and made a loaf for the weekend.
Busy in garden, tidy tidy, chard is still going well.Doze on sofa after lunch, listened to the football but we lost against the Owls, struggling more this year.
Mussels in white wine & garlic for tea, fresh bread for dunking, yum. Lit the new hearth candle and caught up on Stanley’s travels through Italy.8 -
Well can’t be on holiday forever so back to work today! Oooft at how busy it was but day one done.I’ve actually been zonked past 2 nights before I can post my pleasures!
For Friday: went out for breakfast with DD2 and her chap ( he kindly paid) home and a naughty doggy had got into something he shouldn’t ( however I hadn’t put it away so we’ll both take the blame!)
Had an appointment at solicitor so popped into charity shops nearby. Got a long gilet and a big jacket. Then saw a lovely green glass vase on way back to car in other shop window.Saturday: just had a quiet morning/ early afternoon. Then the niecelys arrived and it was much less quiet but nice to see them! They bought takeaway which was nice. Both nights I crashed out early.Work was okay. Tips were okay. It was a sunny day here. And a nice welcome home from my doggy. Currently at my feet.8 -

3) Vaguely tidied up.
4) Off to the cinema to help with the scenery for a forthcoming play. Chatted to a few people there.
5) Just spoke to my school friend on the phone.8 -
Pleasures for Sunday
1. after a disturbed night with doggie, ds2 took over and I went back to bed - slept for several hours.
2. Managed to put away suitcases and Christmas items into loft, bedroom looks much better.
3. Good chat with DM - she appears to be back on full form thankfully.
4. Chicken tray bake for dinner - made using tinned potatoes-very nice served with side salad.
5. Think the Ex has finally got that the marriage is over and that I don’t want to meet up.

Sitting in Paris lounge waiting for my flight - it's a long wait (arrived 7am boarding 14:40) but did mean I didn't need to rush through passport / security etc
1) day 2 of conference so another early start - this time we did a keynote each (my colleague's first!) then ran the same workshops we'd run the day before - exhausted by the end! we did well.
2) back to the hotel for a kip
3) my colleague doesn't come back till today so we met at 7 for my evening meal but actually i wasn't hungry so we had sthe best ever soda and limes complete with a sprig of rosemary (£4 each mind)
4) driver spoke not a word of English but did have the sense to phone his boss to talk to me to make sure I was the right pick-up and we arrived at terminal 2 (2 2 not 5 2 holding up fingers, though i do know there's a good shuttle from 5 to 2 cos that's where the driver dropped us last time 🤣)
5) then dinner in the lounge - very nice beef thing - while watching the end of the Real Madrid Barcelona game.
Right nap done, shower done, breakfast done, time to do some work

And day number two is done! Hurrah!Crashed out last night! There’s a surprise…hopefully just a few more days like this!Worked with my favourites today! Makes such a difference to the day.Bit hectic at times but we got there in the end and excellent tips!Lovely welcome home from my doggy. DD2 was off today so I didn’t need to pop home.
Have a wee tiny shift in the morning. But I offered, so can’t complain. And hot shower and jammies on and I ain’t planning on going back out. It’s rather ghastly!8 -
A really bad nights sleep that I gave up on at about 5am, I think some nights I apparently don’t need sleep. It’s been a gritty day so it will be good to find pleasures, thou I bet they are food based.
1 Christmas cake made, and leftovers turned into strange shaped cupcakes.
2 I made a big chicken and lentil salad enough to be sick of it after a few days.
3 In the garden hanging washing loads out with a lot of animal help, and appreciating the splashes of colour from the dahlias, fuchsias and a couple of petunias left.
4 Another hour clothes clearing, I am nearly there, I will be so happy when it’s done. All the bags going to a CS on Thursday. I feel like I should have been braver and just not looked and thrown the lot, but I have kept some quality bits and bobs and I have one last try on to decide pile which I am tempted to donate the lot.
5 Booked in the covid jabs.

sorry to hear about your bad nights PK, good on the clothes clearing though
1) got to Paris 7ish having slept through breakfast. through passport control and security and into the lounge in 2E - found a couch, donned my eye shades (courtesy of Saudia airlines) and got another 2 hours sleep before lovely shower and breakfast then some work
2) a glass of bubbles and lunch, also very nice, boarding at 14:40 for Edinburgh
3) had seat 1A so quickly off plane, no other plane going through passports so that was quick too, didn't have a hold bag - must be the quickest i've ever been through
4) got a large tea at Costa, showed them my app and drink cost a pound - very good value
5) home to the boys and a deep bubbly bath. now watching ghosts with DD2 but bed is not far away
