Oooft I’m currently awaiting a phone call from the vets. My doggy is undergoing major emergency surgery. Continuing from being unwell last night. Surgery should last a couple of hours so he’s probably been under about an hour or so by now. Blooming dog boy who I love so absolutely much! My very favourite child! And it’s so strange having no doggy in the house, it’s just so weird.Prior to that was work , hallelujah it’s done for another week.Rain turned into beautiful sunshine. After we left him at vets went to mums to fill car with stuff for charity shop, so had loaded car and just about to drive off when vet called with not good news so sat and sobbed then dropped stuff off. At least it’s out the way.Had to pop into main job work and try and sort shifts around as he’ll need looking after when he’s discharged. Just sobbed my way through the whole conversation!I’ll update when I know more.11

Mhags hope the doggy gets better. My old girl is 12 and I'm dreading anything going wrong for her. Mind you she is blind and joints are failing, but open the fridge door and she miraculously appears!!
Fingers crossed for you and doggo

Hugs Mhags, let us know how Haggis gets on.
1 Got the second primer coat on in the morning.
2 Chicken salad wrap for lunch, chicken, chickpea pasta and pesto for tea, it wasn’t great.
3 I’ve just confirmed our holiday dates and started packing the van, really looking forward to it. Just booked us out for an open-air theatre in castle grounds.
4 My kindle’s arrived, it seems very light and very easy to read, intuitive - ish.
5 Bird food also arrived, handy getting heavy stuff delivered.

MHags - I'm relieved to hear he has got out of surgery OK. Hoping for a good weekend for him (and you).
Pleasures for today (Friday). Trying to get a lot done before it gets very, very hot...
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Went with my brother to an exhibition of paintings by people who attend a local art class. It turns out my brother was going with his friend Trevor (part of the class) then when I got there the teacher was someone I worked with years ago and 2 of the other exhibitors were local ladies I worked with in a completely different job!
The teacher had made an art trail round the town by putting paintings in shop windows. She put one of her own paintings in the charity shop window. Someone famous (off the telly!) had commissioned it and it was worth several thousand pounds. It was going to go to him after being on display for a while. Someone asked how much it was was and the charity shop staff member sold it for £20.So that had created a bit of a hoo hah.
3) After looking at the paintings, we went to the community workshop and had a cup of tea.
4) My brother then drove home and I pressed on to get my hair cut. I also went to the football club shop to see if there was anything for smaller son's birthday next month but they are running the stock down as much as possible as there will be new kit etc. THEN popped into M and S for a pot of tea and cheating ready meal stuff for our tea.
5) I emailed smaller son's college to see if can go and say goodbye again (!) and he should now be doing next Tuesday and Wednesday, if it doesn't close on Tuesday when we are forecast 38 degrees. We are forecast 33 degrees at ten p.m on the Monday. Awful!
6) Not a pleasure really, but I had a polite message from a lady on Ebay saying the top I had sold her smelled mouldy. I had only had it a few days (I bought it off Ebay, it was too small and very creased, so I washed it, line dried it then ironed and posted it off again). This spurred me on to walk round the house (and the manhole cover in the garden) sniffing and checking for smells. The only thing that I had missed was the plate in the microwave needed cleaning.
I took the opportunity anyway to sort the recycling, put the washing machine on a boil wash (just soap and no washing in there) then I cleaned the bathroom and the stairs. The washing machine is now on a 60 degree wash with the washing that needed doing and any garment that was part worn (always left on the bannister).
I also watered the pots and tied up the tomato plants outside. I can't smell a smell anywhere!
7) Looking forward to the Last Leg later on.9
