Paulie, I’m sorry to read of your Father-in-Law.
Bop, did you sell up in the end, I seem to remember chez bop was on the market a while back?
Ohh I don’t know some for the past few days.
1 Sunday means Bacon Lettuce and Tomato for Brekkie
2 Pizza from the freezer for dinner tonight part ease, part making freezer space.
3 The air con unit has been repaired a few times and now sounds like a jet engine. We were miffed and then realised we have had it since 2007 so it’s done well. The ferrets can’t dispel heat, they don’t sweat so have to be kept cool, so we kept them in, we did let them in the garden as they keep to the shade, thankfully they aren’t too dopey. DH took the air con apart and appears to have fixed it for a while, so hoping not to need to buy a new one just yet.
4 Washing load hung out.
Monday
1 Another day where I can’t paint as the ferrets needed the whole house from the heat, so I took everything out of all the bathroom units, cleaned the units inside and out, went through everything, did throw things, found a 2012 date!!. Re packed it in, it took a good few hours. I’m working on the idea of we want to move soon, would we need/want to take it with us.
2 Made a chicken roll for lunch and used the heat of the oven to cook through tonight’s sausages, to go with mash.
3 Saw the woodpecker down for the first time in a while.
4 Finished a book I didn’t want to finish in the best possible way.
Tuesday
1 Re filled all the animal waters around inside and out, the woodpecker was back down again.
2 Leftovers in soup for lunch, and build your own, chicken wrap for tea.
3 Had to re- prepare the painting area sugar soap etc, I plan to be up very early and get the first coat on tomorrow.
4 Thinking of treating myself to a Kindle as I had a fire tablet but couldn’t read outside, books that are vastly long or books I don’t think I would want to keep that come up on offer I get on Kindle as a way of not cluttering.

Pleasures for today (Wednesday). Feel quite rubbish so this should be cheering.
1) A sleep shortened at both ends. We always forget quite how much bigger son talks in his sleep. There are a lot of one sided, hissing arguments and tutting! Then he got up at the crack of dawn as always, where smaller son and I definitely do not do this...
2) Made a cooked breakfast.
3) Sounds like nothing, but smaller son finally wrote his thank you cards to members of staff. (7 or 8). He asked for the cards but then it took him a fortnight to agree to start writing! He wrote a couple of lines in each one, funny in places.
4) Did the charity shops (nothing) then wandered about looking for an 18th birthday present for my friend's daughter. In the end, I bought a silver dragonfly necklace. I had seen a bangle on Etsy for £58, which is more than I could afford; once I had seen that, nothing else seemed right.
5) Spent a good 2 hours cutting things back in the garden so you can get along the paths. Had a chat with uphill neighbour and a quick hello with downhill neighbour.
6) Have had 2 emails from the little cinema where I asked to be a volunteer and they want me to go for projector training tomorrow!

For yesterday,
A much cooler morning so catch up on jobs and a loaf made.
Its been a good few weeks for surveys and I had a flurry of well paid ones.
WOB sent the wrong book last week and had emailed, got a reply to say correct one on the way but please donate the erroneous one to a CS, after reading it of course!
Post office to send off a parcel then met up with bf for a cuppa and a catch up.
A cooked tea, pork kebabs with SF veg followed by strawbs with frozen yoghurt.

Hello. Just settling down on the sofa. I have a very sicky dog so I’m cutting out the stairs! He kept going outside to lie on the grass which isn’t like him then barf…everywhere! And just now when I went to grab a heavy throw off extension sofa I found another pile! Aaaargh! However I suppose the pleasure ( as dire as it is) is I found it tonight rather than tomorrow! And I always double check doors are locked but had already checked those patio doors from the outside so probably wouldn’t have went round! Gah!Anyway for the rest of the day!Stunning sunrise this morning. All red…then it rained! But it was lovely for a moment.Work. Done. That is the pleasure.Home and hello doggy! I then went upstairs…don’t even remember lying down and woke up an hour later!Round to mums. Update on declutter thread. Chatted to her NDN.Dropped something off at colleague house. Met her lovely doggy…with the most beautiful eyes and eyelashes! Then met a friend and we chatted for absolutely ages!Unpacked car with stuff I’d brought round from mums and then dog vomiting started! Poor thing. He’s so sad.10

Poor dog and poor you for having to clean it up. Hope he’s ok.
Relief that it’s cooler today, I cannot cope with anything above 25! Off to South Wales tomorrow, via Reading to pick friend up on way, to see old College friend, whom I haven’t seen for 40 years! Much catching up and reminiscing to do, especially about our first holiday together without parents when we were 17! We have a zoom call to another friend who now lives in Australia. She lives in a beautiful part of Wales and although it will be cooler there it is still predicted to be 28 on Sunday 🥵
Nice evening with friend on Tuesday at Wetherspoons for cocktails and small plates, such good value and pub was air conditioned 😊. OH walked up to have his usual mixed grill and pint and then drove my car home.
Met my old HT who employed me 33 years ago, where does time go? We shared a pizza and a good old natter in another local pub.
Swimming (twice in one week again!)with OH this morning as it’s his day off. I then went off to fill the car up (gulp) and have it cleaned for this weekend’s jaunt, and he went off to meet his sister to arrange his dad’s funeral ☹️ Thank you for all your messages of condolence.
Then packing (what to take?) and a couple of dips in the hot tub.
Night all 💤10 -
Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Took smaller son to college for the last time, to say goodbye.
3) While he was there, I looked round the charity shops then had a pot of tea in Waitrose.
4) Picked smaller son up and he had had a wonderful time and wants to go back for another last day next week! So I have kept the thank you cards in the car...
5) Went for projectionist training at the local cinema and I flicked all the switches and fiddled about on the computer and managed to run a screening of Jurassic World! It is hugely complex with a computer running the projector with all the films and licences listed, then a little laptop that runs the adverts for the cinema itself (so a separate film from the actual film). But the advert laptop has to be used in conjunction with a CD player that players the twirtly background music. Except it isn't a CD player really, but a 1.5 metre block of equipment that can run all the tracks and microphones and bits for live performances.
There was a dicey moment when I switched from advert film to proper film, turned the CD player off (set to 3.0) but didn't remember to turn the sound up so the usher ran upstairs to tell me. You can't hear anything at all that is happening in the cinema. You can only see by peering through a tiny, tiny window.
Once that was all fine, I sat at the back of the cinema. I felt a bit faint when the adverts finished and there were 2 seconds of completely black screen, but then the film started!10 -
Hope you have a lovely time Paulie
For yesterday,
As always time spent with my beautiful mare, good groom today and a mini bath as she had been poo bathing!
She was licking my hand which made me giggle and the more I giggled the more she licked so it went on for ages, swear she was laughing along with me 🥰
Made a visit to the farm shop and picked up a few bits from the butchers counter, we seem to be eating less and less meat nowadays but like quality & he will cut to order.
Lots of green tomatoes but no red yet, perhaps next week +35 degrees will do the trick!
Crispy fried gnocchi with feta for tea, melon for afters.9 -
Hopefully pasting today's saved verbiage....😖

Dramatic turns, skills and outcomes, Frith - you and younger son! Good to see.
Won't bother reciting latest loss of 5 osp attempts here since Tuesday.....😤😡 with less common variation that 3 showed themselves as successfully posted, inc. pics, for several hours before disappearing.

1. Progress, but now with new stutter on sthg NZ-y. It'll come right eventually, but the joke of 'immediate' is not helpful. &'s osp rant.
2. Such a good midweek service yesterday. &'s necessary refuelling of a faith kind. And 2 of us sang La Marseillaise, impromptu, afterwards!💙🤍❤👌👍👏. It was terrific.😃
3. Dropped black cherry tomato seedlings and rtc garlic off to oldest uni friend. We sat outside with emporium rtc choc+salted caramel cupcakes, very squidgy, and tea. Down flew fledgling robin and, over 20 mins or so, we 3 shared this time and tiny pieces, completely close. He actually came right to x's fingers, 3 times popped momentarily onto her hand, pecked, ate, hopped off! Magical❤.
4. Tackling another thing. More missing post.😬 plus lots of ferrying and food hub+extras this week, Ukrainian helping too. When not?
5. Know it as we do, nonetheless loved final episode of The Railway Children on R4X earlier.
Especially liked young male continuity announcer's closing comment: 'I don't know about you, but that ending....gets me every time, any version, book, seen, heard.' True. And now there's a wonderful Bailero on R3. That'll do too. No indulgent sicko tory crim. succession circus or 'news' or TV for &.

Quick &, 'no Internet connection' and 2 more 'disappears'... but copy saved HAS saved.
That will be a wonderful reunion, Paulie.
Mhags, again a 4-sock Haggis? Please, both of you, ease down, work with the weather, not despite it, especially with that special extra work commitment.

Coping days and adjusting days to all, in changing times for our stressed planet and social orders. Putin gone would be a start, with other self-interested libertarians right here.
All blessings and 🙏.
