5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

Evening all
Lainey, I love that rose.
DfV, I'll also be thinking of you and yours tomorrow. Hope it goes as well as you wish and is comforting.
Five recent pleasures:
1. Did quite a bit of sorting of the back yard/garden (including lots of sweeping and raising dust) before the weather turned so it's been lovely having it all washed clean by the recent endless rain.
2. Was feeling so flipping chilly and damp indoors today (and I've been fighting off a grotty bug) that I lit the wood burner and have been sitting in front of it roasting my bare feet for medicinal purposes. Feels very self-indulgent because I've now used half the emergency logs left over from the woodpile. There won't be any more until the winter but today's use of them has been very cheering.
3. Scrambled tofu and veg for supper.
4. At long last have begun making a list of all the books I own. I searched for freebie library software but in the end settled for a boring old spreadsheet. I have a lot of books and I hope that going at it gently, a shelf at a time, will also help me look at selling or charity shopping or Little Free Librarying some more. This may take months!
5. The yummy organic orange I saved all day as an evening treat (by the fire).
Sweet dreams,
Bx

DfV - I hope tomorrow goes as smoothly as possible and I am in no doubt that you will have planned it just right.
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
Cat just sat on the keyboard and disabled it. Sorted now!
2) Cat looks appalling, with a small hole then a hole about 2cm in diameter where his abscess was. He has removed all the fur from around it for better visibility and more sympathy. I've had to run around with a dressing gown all day, throwing it down where I thought he might be about to sit, or covering my legs with it so he could sit on my knee. 2 dressing gowns are in use now, as one will always be in the washing machine. Bleurgh.
3) Dad and mum came up for a cup of tea for fathers day. The cat looked as ill as possible.
4) Sat in the garden for a bit this evening.
5) Phoned my school friend.

It’s a beautiful morning here and I’ve had a very quick doggy walk ( a sniffy walk) and just been out and watered the garden. Sending you love and strength for today DFV for you and your boys. Take care xxx12

DFV will be thinking of you all today. Love, hugs and prayers to you.
For Saturday.
1. Picked flowers from the garden including roses so vases are full.
2. Made salads using some home grown stuff for bbq.
3. Both sons and girlfriends came over for bbq. Managed to eat outside with laughter as it was raining in parts so had coats, umbrellas and plastic ponchos on.
4. Lit the fire pit for warmth and played giant jenga.
5. Came inside when it became too wet.
For Sunday
1. Much nicer weather than Saturday.
2. Went by train to Kew gardens. Good journey.
3. Enjoyed walking round.
4. DH went shopping for some shirts. He rarely buys clothes for himself.
5. Home and quiet evening as we were both shattered.11 -
All strength to you, DfV, you can do this. One life - your life - live it!9

Ampersand the fenny skies were amazing last night.
Love and blessings to DFV and her family xx
For yesterday,
Bit of an early start as small dog needed a wee at just gone 5, garden smelt all fresh after overnight rain.
Tying in toms, picking strawberries, sweet peas and roses, then we went through apple tree and took out every third, looks like a good harvest this year.
Duck in orange sauce for lunch, one of our favs.
A jam jar of sweet peas on the kitchen windowsill, their fragrance is a treat for any washer-upper.
Gentle wander around the field with small dog, she is finally showing her age with a grey muzzle and slower attitude to life, happens to us all ☺️Still a small amount of light in the sky when I turned off bedside lamp, summer solstice tomorrow.10 -
As are we all - i'm thinking of DforV and her boys today. xxI wanna be in the room where it happens9

Warm thoughts heading the way of DfV and her boys. I hope today goes well for you. There's something about the ceremony and theatre of a good funeral that brings much needed yet bittersweet comfort.8

Beautiful day here…I’m just about to head towards the garden sofa to catch some sunshine on my tired bones!Early schmearly!Very quick doggy walk but DD2 has been with him all day.Work. Busy then quiet. Much prefer the quiet 😆 ( not all the time but after a busy day like yesterday it was quite nice! )
Was described as ‘super efficient’ by a potential customer. Who I’ve been liaising with! Why thank you! I’ll agree with that ( as did my boss 😊)
Good company and alright tips considering the quietness of the day.And the knowledge that the big worky days are over ! Hurrah!A busy week lies ahead so I’m about to lie outside for a bit!11
