D4V your posts are so full of strength and love - and cake don't forget fruit loaves. Our Bourneville passed away in my arms this morning, 100 percent polecat, rescued from a breeding programme so as not to be put to sleep as they cancelled releasing them into the wild. He was a privilege to have as part of the family for 9 years, a wonderful and I think amazing life, a true little gent.DH determined to distract took us out, we had lunch at the Range, a lovely hot Tuna panini and cuppa. We made plans with a little home local nursery to pick up a special rose in memory, and have found an amazing independent place as well by the looks of it, we will see tomorrow.Picked up a Costco pizza for tea, as it is only as I haven't had chocolate available that I haven't comfort eaten. I'm going to have to cook some low sugar comfort food tomorrow.10

sending many many hugs DfV
and to you too PK
Realising we're Wednesday already, where does the time go?! So since last post
1) Monday Medical School, busy but productive day, evening went for a lovely meal with colleague
2) Tuesday City Campus, had elevenses with dd2, had taken packed lunch and tea as at 5pm went to very interesting lecture at the uni on the stereoscope (it was national stereoscope day apparently) then back to the office for my sarnie then off to Vestry
3) This morning back to Medical School, clash of meetings so at 11:30 jumped into taxi to go to the MBChB 'away day' which had started at 9. Got there in time for a very interesting workshop on scholarship then had free lunch
4) Which meant my lish packed lunch (chilli salmon salad) could wait for supper which meant I could work through till 7:30pm
5) Walked home practising the names for Friday. Good on Niamh, Saoirse is taking a bit more practice... For each type of degree I have to start 'Chancellor, I have the honour to present for the degree of....' then go through the names at a reasonable pace so the Chancellor can bop them but no awkward gaps.

Thinking of you DFV and PK
1. Busy day at work or at least I was very busy.
2. Caught the bus to work and finished my book.
3. My flip flops have arrived.
4. Did more gardening.
5. Watching bees flying about in and out of the foxgloves.9 -
Many thoughts are with DFV.
Aww sorry to hear about your little one PK but what a life he had with you.
For yesterday,
Waited in for delivery, new yard boots, not exactly OS but much needed and purchased on a very rare special offer. My old ones are nearly 5 years old, worn not just at the stables but for dog walking and much more, they owe me nothing.
Took equine pal for a walk in hand so she could munch on all the lovely wild grasses etc that she is normally ridden past, she had great fun and it meant that I could stay in my shorts as it was hot hot.
Leaning against her side and breathing in that horsey smell.
Too warm to get the hoover out so swept instead.
Chicken & pepper traybake for tea, so glad of my north facing kitchen.

Oh, and one for DfVAnother Day!
We had the dog burgers last nite for dinner. Full quarter pounders griddled inn two toasted buns, topped with melt cheese and chopped onions! Very tasty and proper. Then we has the strawbs as well! Then choc ices on sticks. Of curse other outlets has the burger, butt no weigh as good as home maid!
Set up too watch the T20 on the box and has our flavoured waters. The I gets the scrabble out for a challenge. Of curse, you realise that the Albatross is only one win away from the chance of going to on the bounce. The Admiral started slow, with the Albatross taking a decent lead, butt the Admiral soon responded with QI, and then DeCIDeR for 81 and won again!
The Albatross remains just one win away from the chance of going to on the bounce!
Up two pack the Albatross' lunch box with good foods again. She did compliment that she feels good with all the proper foods she is eating! We had poached egg with cut fresh garden mushrooms for brakefest, with a mug of tee of curse.
Now cleaned up, sat with me mug of tee ready four the cricket!
Jen does her things
Did you not like that!
I has also bin a busy bee!
Then the Ocean and St. Cyrs!
I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!10 -

Hello.Early schmearly as usual but dozed off again after I saw to dog.Friend picked me up and out we went and chattered nonstop for 3 hours. Then I decided to stay home rather than go to mums and sorted out my bedroom. It’s been a dumping ground past few weeks and was bringing me down! So it’s either in garage, in bin, recycled. Windows opened, happy music on and it’s so much better ( if you ignore the third of the way painted dolls house that’s way down any priority list at the moment 😆)
Cut the grass. And just picked some flowers for a jam jar.I’m going to have an early night tonight. Stuff to do tomorrow.9 -
I on the other hand mhags seem to be posting late and i haven't even been to the pub!
1) dentist - the glorious weather has finally made it to Scotland and was lovely to have the walk there and back
2) met a friend on the way back - we had a blether
3) made a fish stew using basa - was tasty and made loads
4) walked up to mum's afterwards and sat in her garden with a glass of wine - very civilised
5) watched the first episode of Avoidance - enjoyed it. I really liked Mandeep Dhillon in After Life - just found out that Netflix donated 25 park benches to graveyards as part of a mental health campaign.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Quick pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Cat has not been back all day. This is normal behaviour for him, so he is either feeling very much better or has met with a terrible accident...
3) Cleaned. Floors, stairs, bathroom, tidied, load of washing (still) outside.
4) Went to Ludlow for the charity shops and bought a little jug.
5) Went near Radnor as my brother was doing a survey there this evening. I went for a walk then read my magazine by the light of my phone in his car. Went through Presteigne, or Prest Knee Ig Knee as we always called it growing up.10
