Hello. It’s been such a lovely day here. Started with an early morning outing with the doggy as sun was just rising.Just a day of catching up around the house really
took my Easter decorations down…they got as far as the porch not quite as far as the garage!Put something on local FB page for free that was collected.Son had went through a pile of clothes he still had here so there was a charity pile. Put them in a bag and they got as far as my passenger seat in the car. Will drop off next time I’m out.Bedroom windows open! What a treat…was not allowed to open before I got them replaced for fear of them falling out!Cheese on toast for lunch. We have a type of bread in Scotland known as plain bread ( a normal loaf would be a pan loaf) which I wouldn’t choose to buy myself, however I got it in a too good to go bag a month or so ago. So I’ve been taking it from the freezer as and when and it’s quite nice with cheese on it. Don’t like the hard crusts though!Went out in garden to watch the start of Australian MasterChef! may have fallen asleep! Had planned on putting veggies in greenhouse however it’s forecast for frost. So had them out in the sun for a while and then brought them back in this evening. Then went out again and read for a wee while before going in to make tea.Made steak pie for tea. Meat RTC done in slow cooker. Leftover from work baked potatoes roasted with parsnips. Cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and peas! Should have been for two but eked out for three hence the extra veggies!Bathrooms are clean and downstairs was hoovered and floors washed.11 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hen still going.
3) Got a load of washing out on the line and tidied up.
4) Bigger son returned! He did work in his shed and it was sunny so I weeded pretty much the whole garden.
5) Later we went to canal town to look round the charity shops. Then we popped to my sister's (where my little niece has chicken pox) and played Lego.
6) Did a roast for tea.
7) The Man Utd game did not go well but I was very moved to see everyone in the stadium give a round of applause 7 minutes in and sing You'll Never Walk Alone for Ronaldo, whose baby passed away yesterday.
8) In bed now and watching The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe.12 -

Agree Frith, class gesture of support from the Liverpool fans.
For yesterday,
A wander around the garden with first cuppa of the day, always like to look at what’s popping up, this morning it was tiny buds on the Clematis Montana.
Trip into horsey town, banked a small refund cheque and went to the emporium.
Finally a visit from BB engineer, all done and dusted in 15 minutes which included drinking the cup of tea I made him! Good to be connected again but have to say the thing I’ve missed the most is our music collection on the Sonos system, especially listening to Ella.
Started a new to me book, somehow lost an hour or so in the afternoon.
Tasty tea, baked mackerel with SF veg and noodles.

It absolutely does my head in Howeverit does of course look so much better,
Dropped off bag of sons old clothes in charity bin.

Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep. Waved bigger son off for another 9 day stretch at work.
2) Hens still hanging in there.
3) Picked some rhubarb.
4) Had a cup of tea in Waitrose then went to the garden centre for some sweet pea plants. It is by where smaller son goes to college so I have only ever rushed in and out again before picking him up. I didn't realise that it is a huge site, with a more basic cafe out the back by a pond, kitchen gardens and some pigs and goats! Nice there in the sun.
5) Planted the sweet peas.
6) A lovely email this afternoon from a charity who are going to pay for a season ticket for smaller son to watch the football next season. Usually these are quite automated replies but it was sent by a nice man who said how well our team is doing this season and his team (same league as ours) is struggling to get in to the play offs!
7) Had some homemade soup from the freezer for tea.

For past couple of days.
1. More relaxing in France. Paddling in the sea.
2. Lovely seafood.
3. Good journey home. No delays or queues.
4. Hens ok. Neighbour had been looking after them.
5. Bluebells out in the garden - where I want them to be for the first year.11 -
For yesterday,
Bit of gardening after breakfast, mixed up some rose feed and did the climbers plus the small one in a pot.
Spent the rest of the morning with my equine girlie, her canter is so calm and collected now it’s like sitting on a rocking horse. Afterwards I grazed her in hand and watched the buzzards being mobbed by crows.
Mixed up a bread dough and left it to prove while I popped over to see a pal and her new horse, had dug out a couple of girlie’s old rugs that she had outgrown and they fitted my mate’s horse a treat, pennies saved for her and a space made in our shed!
Bread made and then snorkers for tea with SP mash and braised red cabbage.
Finished watching a film about the Beatles then tv off to read our books.

For yesterday
1 We did a tip run with chopped up sofa, and garden cuttings
2 We went across the road to explore the garden centre, they were a good price so we picked up plants and popped them straight in the wall.
3 We sat outside with a couple of cuppas.
4 A lunch of cold cut leftovers.
For today
1 Mowed the lawn and strimmed, popped the last of the seeds around everywhere and watered them in, should be an entertaining time of must not weed for a fair while. Prepared pots ready to plant up with sunflowers when they’ve grown on a bit more in the greenhouse. Washed down the storage shed, it’s where it doesn’t get sun, so gets green on, sugar soaped it, but it will need another wash to bring it right back up, another day.
2 Fresh bread for a sarnie at lunch was lovely eaten outside in the garden, and dinner will be left over bol turned into spaghetti bolognaise.
3 Booked some bits and bobs for DH’s birthday and anniv while he was out.
4 Whole house aired and mopped.
5 Sat in the sun in the garden with a tea and book, reading and watching butterflies.
6 Tidied up some clothes which also made me realise I need to move some on space wise, but tidied for now, will tackle de cluttering another day.
