Zonked out about 6pm last night and woke up at 3am slightly bewildered!Anyway work is done and dusted till next time!Had a good crew today which makes such a difference! Was so busy!Okay tips! In the jam jar!Sun is shining it’s a beautiful evening but my mother told me ( repeatedly) it’s a cold wind.A friend had called me whilst I was at work so just called her back. And as always a lovely welcome home from my doggy. I didn’t need to nip home earlier as DD2 had day off. But they sent me a photo of their day 😊13

1 Did a bit of garden pottering, planted some seeds to the windowsill, prepared other places for sunflowers, put clean soil on the dried concrete wall ready to plant up wildlife seeds.
2 Just cooked dinner from the freezer, lasagne, veg and a portion of chips was delicious, we have plenty in the freezers, where we didn’t eat much at all for a fortnight.
3 One of the oldies is feeling it a bit today he asked to go upstairs, by laying on the bottom stair, so we let him and made him a soup which he guzzled down.
4 Admiring the evening light, it was amazing over the garden.
5 I’ve been waiting for the easter sales to buy a couple of things, I wasn’t near my laptop and the offer sold out, so I popped it in google and got it cheaper elsewhere and in stock handy. And did the same with 2 other items.

catching up with all your lovely posts - seem to have been awol for a week! still haven't been to NY, looks great admiral super piccie cj welcome zola
1) been a funny old week - lots of football (6 days running with Dr M in the rub a dub, we drank a lot of tea and coffee, especially for the lunch time kos) 2 wins for the hatters and mixed fortunes for the foxes
2) took a long weekend but spent quite a few hours of it stuck to my puter working on a resub boo. ok so that's not an mse pleasure, try again...
2) ds came home with gf and cat - here's the cat (ignore time on the cooker, I have nooo idea how to set it!) who will be stopping while they go to France - so lovely the young people can travel again (i do of course include you ampers and admiral!)
3) super Easter day, not unlike my usual Christmas days where I leave the children asleep and I sneak off for the service, stay for prosecco (be rude not to) but this time dd2 had headed off to Edinburgh for a day at the zoo
4) and after the service ds and his gf met me and I took them for lunch (then of course met Dr M for the Leicester game, boo to the score)
5) and today lo hot cross bun for breakfast, very nice chicken casserole from ys organic chicken breasts (which have been in the freezer since ahem November. All meat and fish products in the freezer were put in this year hooray) for lunch, so nice I had it for tea too. Easter egg for pudding methinks.

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Tidied up throughout the day including a proper clean of the bathroom.
3) Carried on eating chocolate!
4) Hen still alive, though in the sleeping end when I went down to see them. I carried her out to the food and water so at least she could bask in the sun.
5) Smaller son and I went to watch the football. 0-0 draw today. I had to break up a fight between 2 teenage boys as the security people are useless and they had got to the eye gouging/hair ripping out stage. Luckily I managed to do this by glaring and using my cross voice which strangely goes extremely posh under pressure. One of them made the mistake of telling me to shut up and my reply to that got a murmur of admiration from the crowd nearby.
6) Have been watching tv in bed this evening.
7) Smaller son did some biology revision last night. This is unheard of. He says he might do some more later.11 -
I love this thread. It makes me smile every day. Here are mine for Easter Monday
1) Ran in our village 10k. Beautiful sunny day, great support. My little boy ran in the kids race and was very pleased with his medal!
2) Enjoying watching a new series on Netflix - Medici. Chappie from Game of Thrones is just stunning to watch
3) Dinner from leftovers on Easter Sunday. Diet starts tomorrow as I've put on a stone since Xmas 😳
4) Tending to my seeds in the greenhouse. Trying aubergine for the first time!
5) enjoying a new prayer app I've downloaded from the CofE.12 -
For yesterday,
Long chat with bf, filing each other in on all the news.
Over to the stables, the beautiful grey one worked well in the school then we went for a mooch around the fields, apart from one hairy moment with a pheasant all was well.
Home for lunch, had made a loaf early doors so fresh bread for a cheese sarnie.
Lazy afternoon, much reading of books and resting of eyes aka snoozing.
Evening walk with small dog, tennis balls were thrown and sort of brought back!
There is one crow that always sits on the same branch of a beech tree in the evening, facing the evening sun.9 -
Humm, Zola, cj and zcrat - apologies, but that's probably how your names will shrink here😁 - with 💞🤝and Warmest Welcomes!
1. Well, immediately add the call &'s just had from CUBG. 👏👏👏 It seems to happen every time, their systems bleughh+usual notspot here.....en bref, no renewed Membership card, because it hasn't happened...since last June!😱. Anyway, & will fix at Bateman Street entrance today, using renewed bus pass from p&r, after another Town of Gown necessary, with goodwill CUBG extras added. Merci millefois. & loves CUBG. ❤ Aways includes a long pause in the NZ garden.
2. Happy quick stop chez oldest nthn hemi Uni friend became longer at day's end, dropping off more rtc emporium( a.k.a Waitrose, for our newbies😀) hot cross buns.
Apologised to 2 nesters with babies, robin and blackbird, flying off as & walked down tiny narrow path access. They've both nested at shoulder height, robin in a rope feeder, blackbird in pruned branch+window frame a foot away, nearly touching! Guided tour around the slowly completing Moroccan garden room/study/private place. It is already fabulous.
3. A very bungled food hub pick-up ex Trumpy emporium yesterday. Back to Cherry Hinton for church drop-off and no way in, no-one there and finally, security keyboxes+codes wrongly done by previous last outs.😖 Could access annexe, but not the necessary interior. Meant considerable displacement for 2 others, but all finally sorted 1½hrs later. & was concerned, as 4 crates of the surplus were frozen food.
Man plans, God laughs, as so often 😁😇🙏 and all ends well.
4. Heard the woodpecker again, as did friend.
5. Yesterday's date is &'s most laden in the year. Some comms+pics. Will leave it at that.
So let's have -
6. Exchange of msgs with a 🏉🦚 has brought up mutually present occasions, events, locations, previously unknown - living only a few bits of Fen away! They were at Dickie Jeeps' funeral too - & was ushering for that farewell in our benefice. Her dad and DJ played for Cambridge together, from the 50s>70s, then Dad coached the Colts.

1. Valeted the car at long last, and ended up with about 3 shopping bags full of cr*p!
2. Finally got round to uninstalling Windows 11 and reverting back to 10. Clearly 11 is another 8!
3. Downloaded a load of YouTube videos to my nasbox covering home restorations, ghosts, haunted houses and the world's most dangerous roads!
4. Bought some scented candles, two of which I have already lit here in the living room. Very cosy and aromatic (spring lavender)
5. scrambled eggs on toast in the sarnie maker, with a splash of either Worcestershire sauce in one and Tabasco sauce in the other.11
