3) Covid recovery continued. Smaller son is doing a Tom Jones "HGHGHGH" noise every 15 seconds, rather than coughing properly!
4) Salmon for tea plus cooked the base of mushroom and spinach lasagnes.

For yesterday,
Phoned village garage and car booked in for today, will drop off soon, keeping all digits crossed it won’t be too hefty on bank balance. It’s getting on for 12 years old now but I love it and don’t want to change.
Pretty tulips in a vase.
Out to cathedral city ( in beloved’s car ) and met DSIL for lunch, we had a good mooch around the charity shops but I didn’t find anything on my list, she has recently lost over 2 stone in weight and managed to find some nice dresses for the summer.
Over to the stables, hello pony, bit of a groom and carrots for a treat.
Home and engineer had been in to sort out new, cheaper broadband, good job considering #1.11 -
Up since 4, another big day ahead.
1. Lovely birdsong b/g while vaguely listening to golf on R5.
2. Online🦚🏉review out on time 7am yesterday.
3. Notable CS Upchurch pottery find en route back yesterday.
4. Chauffeured LP friend/celebrant to take a special commemorative service. Skylarks sang.
5. Ott garment-y nonsense for Raffle Harridan and another & rumtopf(as requested by all and sundry) all sorted for today.😁 Feathers will be worn as we Peacocks host some beaky Buzzards. Early start as we also wave off a remarkable chap, running John o'Groats>Lands End marathon-a-day chap, in memory of his infant niece+neonatal cardiac research.

Good morning.. Lovely sunny day.
Ampersand - thank you for the poem. A childhood favourite of mine too.
Housework yesterday morning. Bright and breezy ( weather, not me!) so washed two big picnic blankets ready to donate to charity shop. Think they might have shrunk a bit despite cool wash, but they're still good picnic blankets so hopefully will go to a good home.
Went to our favourite fish and chip restaurant for lunch. Noted a slight price rise but we don't go very often so it can stay in the treats list.
Did lots of bitsa jobs in the afternoon. Each one took only 10 - 15 mins but they've all been lurking around for too long.
Booked flights to Spain to June to visit our friends. Not been since 2019 so will be great to see them again.
Another good drying day out there. Winter coats for the wash maybe
Happy 🌞day everyone12 -

Finding a local pet shop that stocks puppies food, went to big well known chain who advertise but didn’t stock it.
Another nap as pup woke me at 5.

Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK.
3) Had a tidy up and hoovered and steamed the floors.
4) Went to the football (first time in a while due to covid for us), 2-0 up and (we think, and investigation to follow), something racist was shouted by an opposition player to one of our players. A pause while the referee took notes and the player was removed. Our players went on to win 6-0 ! Cliff (injured for months) came on at the end and got a goal and all the players ran over to him, including our goalkeeper who had to run for miles!
5) Made spinach and mushroom lasagne for tea.
6) Watched Casualty.11 -
Quick Saturday pleasures as the sun comes up on Sunday! It’s blooming freezing 🥶
was out early yesterday for work so very quick doggy and then a nice, longer walk when I got back home.listening to podcasts as I worked. Then having a wee dance to myself as a few tunes I liked came on…goodness knows what anyone passing at that time of morning thought!Went to garden centre ( with my birthday vouchers ) however what I was after wasn’t available but did get a few veggie plants, not many but when we went looking last year they’d all gone. Currently in the laundry room. Then went to B and q and got what I was looking for but they didn’t accept vouchers so I just paid for them and will use vouchers at another time.Home and ‘I’m just popping down to friend for 5 ‘ to give her a loan of the book DD1 had sent…one hour later I’d really better go!Moved new plants into garden, keeping them sheltered just now although they were outside in garden centre but of b and q ( may also have bought some RTC lavender…my very favourite kind of lavender 😆)
A smidge of warmth when in the sun but brrrr when out.Friend had given me a loan of her current library book so started that.Went to l!dl. Was £14 which also included 3 bags of compost. Got a few things for 20p. Which meant I could afford to get some nice ice cream at the ice cream parlour on the way home! ( it ain’t cheap!)
Had my very RTC tea and took myself to bed!And I’m now just watching a very beautiful sun rise. Before I start my day! A dog keeping my knees cosy!13 -
For yesterday,
Up early and car down to the garage, call come in with projected price, bit ouchie but not as bad as expected.
Spent most of the morning tidying up beloved’s home office, it had become a bit of a dumping ground and was a mess, now all sorted and cleaned thoroughly.
To the stables in the afternoon and spent time with the beautiful grey one, nice in the sun but cold in the shade and had just got home when the rain started.
Listened to the 2nd half of the footie with a cup of tea and hot x bun, United got another 3 points and L1 is guaranteed for another year.
Chicken fajitas for tea, watched programmes about the music of 1994 and then we turned the tv off to play cards.11 -
Been about a week.
Would have struggled to find any pleasures at work other than leaving the building.
For Friday
1. Went for a dog walk and the views are stunning. Saw carrot and bluebells in the woods.
2. Saw and had a quick chat with people I normally see on the walk.
Also saw a deer but so did the dog. Luckily the deer runs faster and jumps much better.
3. Met my sister in London. Hadn't seen her for a couple of years. Had a catch up and went to an exhibition at Whitechapel studio which she wanted to go to.
4. Lovely late lunch at but halloumi and courgette fritters with two salads may not be classed as proper good by everyone.
5. Young boy (about 3) on the train asked whether another passenger could play his guitar him. The man did show him a clip on his phone of him playing his cello.
For Saturday.
1. Picked up my glasses. I can see much better now especially when reading.
2. Met a friend for coffee. Had a great chat about nothing really.
3. Filled car up with petrol. DH had seen 2 petrol stations were closed on Friday so it was a pleasure as I only had 30 miles left.
4. Time in the garden. It did feel warm in the sun.
5. Used vouchers and went out for Pizza so a cheap evening.10
