I enjoyed my birthday 🎂 yesterday, even though I can't believe I’m that old. In times past I would have had my pension for the last 5 years but I’ve still got to wait another year!
Abandoned plans to go the coast for a walk and fish n chips and went to the cinema to see Belfast and a new to us pub for a meal. The film was very good and meal enjoyable. Nice !!!!!! star martini 🍸 and glass of red wine 🍷 too 😊
Then popped into my friends as requested and she had made me a cake 🎂 and bought me a lovely Radley purse. All in all, a good day 😊
Enjoy the rest of Sunday everyone.12 -
Art'noon all

3. more stuff gone to the tip
4. Started another room decorating..
5. several good walks - especially one in London on Tuesday
6. That involved a Brazilian 'all you can eat' buffet lunch
7. out for brunch and a film (Death on the Nile) with DD yesterday
8. Seeing the daffs, crocuses and snowdrops emerging - new buds on the bushes too.
9. DS has got on ok during the week, in what was clearly a challenging environment for him
10. watching various TV things in front of the fire..
Have a lovely rest of weekend all.I wanna be in the room where it happens12 -
& remains outside church for connectivity as Storm Franklin rains heavily, seamlessly carrying on from Eunice. That broken leg scenario was terrible, Frith. Well done all players who refused to return.#1. Safe and warm, with abundant food and water.2. Despite late-cancelled home match, went anyway. About 30 present, including families, whose children could safely play and run about upstairs. Big screen Leicester v Bath, then many board games!❤❤❤ No trees down, but rescued a big goalpost buffer that was attempting to escape.3. Amazing CS find en route. Hand-stitched peacock embroidery along all 9+metres of a cream silk sari length, only £2.99! Rather Bayeux tapestry in style. A definite Will Be Worn, when &'s next outing as Raffle Harridan finally occurs.😁👍🦚🏉4. Met new people.🙂🍷🏉📚5. Wonderful news. The extremely prem. identical twin grandsons of &'s old NZ schoolfriend are now at home! Their survival is astounding. Thanks truly given.#Keep staying safe everyone.#PaulieH - happy yesterday birthday, along with more praise for your always clever and interesting pic posting. Sounds like a really good day was had and Wow🍪!😋Happycas - excellent Gamache work.😁

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Woken up by bigger son visiting! I hadn't planned any sort of lunch so I cobbled together a HM pizza, coleslaw and some random salad leaves. That soon went.
3) Hens OK.
4) Went to Sainsburys cafe for a cup of tea then to do the shopping.
5) Our injured footballer from yesterday tweeted from his hospital bed to say he has had the first of his operations. He looked a lot better than yesterday!
6) Phoned my school friend.12 -
Sunday evening already, how did that happen?!
1) lovely sleep, up for the winter olympics, last day, watched half of curling women's final before i needed to go to church
2) lovely service, super cake after, yum yum yum
3) la la la for result, asked dd2 if she could find half way through final on iplayer then call me through - I cooked a roast chicken breast thing (ys yesterday's shop) and veg for dinner and watched the rest of the final, pausing at crucial points of dinner-cooking
4) off to the pub for the Leicester match - Dr M arrived late (as always) and Mr G, HA and his gf joined us later which was lovely
5) then Dr M said next bus 36 minutes, another half and bus or walk? i chose another half and bus which he agreed was a good choice. cooked pasta meal for tea (enough for tomorrow's lunch), now to watch call the midwife. have just found the dean's flight was cancelled so he'll not be in tomorrow and senior exec group is cancelledMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Belated happy birthday wishes for Paulie 🎉For yesterday,
Up early and reading my book.
Another day of bad weather, we did get small dog out for a leg stretch before the worst of it came over, remembered my hat this time!
The Unbelievable Truth made me laugh out loud.
Chicken for lunch, followed by apple pie.
Watched an adaptation of the Crooked House, a murder mystery was perfect for such a wild & windy afternoon.11 -
Good morning
The weather here is the worst it's been yet. Very windy and so much rain it's getting difficult to see where the pond stops and the garden starts. Personally I think it's a mistake naming storms. It just encourages them to more mischief!
Hiwever, inside all is calm and peaceful ( as much as it ever is) as we quietly pootle about our day.
Still living on comfort food. Shepherd's pie (DH favourite) and apple crumble yesterday. Will make rice pudding today but not sure about what else yet.
And my embroidery is coming in nicely. Did some while watching Ronnie Spector on catch up. Jools Holland looked smitten😂
Happy Monday everyone - keep safe x
