A huge thank you to ampersand for introducing me to the Spooky Men's Chorale. Love their versions of Dancing Queen and Boogie Wonderland.
Thankful for Storm Dudley being out there and not in here.
Nibbling the last of the cinnamon streusel cake I made the other day, a success.
Being able to book to have my cavity wall insulation renewed and my loft insulation topped up at no cost to me whatever. The work will take place in two weeks time.
This morning I finally spotted the little clump of crocus plants in the garden. They're a bit late this year, I thought they'd died.

Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Smaller son went to college!
3) Hens OK.
4) Did preparations before possible power cut so 2 loads of washing are drying, a tank of water has been heated and the heating is on...
5) Spent the afternoon sorting through (throwing away) paperwork.
6) Mum and dad went to the talk at Hereford Cathedral and I was sent a picture of a sign pushed into the grass outside where they had been allocated a parking space! They had free tickets, after dad gave a bit of info towards the talk.
7) In bed with 1hwb as the storm is ridiculous. I fed the cat earlier and when I came back into the house, I couldn't get the door shut as the wind was too strong!10 -
Nargle and admiral, everyone!

1. Big day not entirely done, but reasonably so. Too late now to use the special fence-securing 100mm double twist screws from Mackays. Will it still be up in morning? Wind is roaring. On verra.
2. Town of Horse for optician's check-up, terrific as always. & had managed to leave her lunettes behind😚🙄. Never mind. Vision fine, thanks to them sending & immediately to Addenbrookes some years ago. & owes them so much and never forgets. They were also 1st class straight after with one of &'s marginal peeps.
3. Registering for this:

Well done on being so disciplined with your reading, happycas. & coined a little thing back in full uni and academic days - 'If you don't keep up, you never catch up.' But redefining 'essential' means that can vary, too.😉CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Good morning! My charger is not charging as efficiently as it was though still does so I’m not rushing out to buy a new one quite yet! So last night my iPad was flat! Anyway it’s charged a bit overnight so here I am. Up with a vomiting doggy at 5am. Sigh! He’s lying in the sofa and I’m back in bed with a soggy pyjama trouser leg …just been out to put the bin out ( fingers crossed it doesn’t blow away) and got a bit soggy in the process but only on one leg!Yesterday was a day of so much weather. Mainly of the very wet. Very windy. Very wild kind. Currently lashing with rain/hail, battering against the back of the house. Blowing through the gaps in windows that replacements have been ordered but will be another few weeks yet!Anyway I’d to take DD2 to dentist so I went to bank and deposited tips and transferred in to my savings account. Then we had to go to a training centre at a hospital in a nearby ( ish) town…now you’ll know how much I relish driving but I did it. She thought she’d be 15 minutes tops as she was just handing in forms…2 hours! 2 blooming hours! I watched Holby, Eastenders and then listened to the radio! Then we had to get out at supermarket I’d stiffened up! Not used to being in that position for so long!I’m trying not to use that supermarket ( for no other reason than it’s expensive and I’m trying to be savvy and save at the moment) however i did have vouchers and it was things I’d use so we popped in…again DD2 plonking stuff in the trolley and me carefully putting the Next Customer Please sign between our stuff!Glad to be home before the worst of the weather! Waaah at the rain! Managed to time doggy walks between the showers.12
