Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Got washing done and dried.
3) Have been offered some invigilation work.
4) Off to Telford to watch the football. It is not my most favourite destination (very bleak town) and we took the wrong turn in Much Wenlock. Won 1-0. I have lost enough weight that I can zip my coat up properly.
5) Did the online pub quiz.
6) Watching Casualty.12 -
For yesterday,
Nice lie-in followed by warm croissants and coffee.
Made a loaf than sat and did a bit of financial admin.
Over to the yard and took my girlie out for a very cold hack, the wind was so cold and in our faces on the way so we were both pleased to get back, popped her fleecy rug on and gave her a big hay net.
Listened to the footie and United came back twice for a point away from home.
Chicken curry and rice for tea.11 -
Good morning. Very grey here but at least the strong wind has dropped.
Happy Cas not too happy at the moment. DH is back in hospital. Another day, another adhesion, another blockage . Or maybe the same one . Who knows. If it clears and settles down, operation will go ahead Thursday.
I had to ring 999! Never done that before. But one pleasure - they were here within15 minutes, very professional but kind too.
No visiting allowed ( should be back on Monday) so went out for lunch with DD . I think she was trying to make sure I had one decent meal instead of my default coffee and chocolate.
As always a huge pleasure is the kindness and support of family and friends.
All shall be well and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well. My current mantra
Happy Sunday everyone12 -
Happycas - hope DH recovers enough for the operation on Thursday and look after yourself.
1. Collected my new to me car. It is a nice drive and feels more solid than my old car.
2. DS1 drove me to collect it and his new car has that new car smell.
3. Went to a former colleagues memorial service. She had died from cancer very early on in the first lockdown. She stood up for people and will be missed. It was a positive service.
Saw a couple of people I hadn't seen in a while.
4. Text messages with DS2 and his girlfriend from their holiday.
5. Went out for a meal at a Ghurka restaurant. It was good food and reasonably priced.10 -

Pleasures for yesterday
1. went hedgelaying - a small, hardy crowd (the weather was terrible) but we got a surprising amount done.
2. Came home! into the warm, eventually. Took nearly 4 hours to warm up though.
3. Loads of cake - 4 lots of different cakes and cookies for 8 people!
4. Saturday night telly - rarely watch it 'live'. It was really bad, but just what i needed
5. early to bed
Have a good day all - the weather is shocking again today so i've wimped out of hedgelaying and am trying to do marking (hence logging my pleasures!)
I wanna be in the room where it happens12 -

For yesterday.
1 We travelled to the in laws and it was lovely to chat and put the world to rights, we’ve not seen each other for a while.

4 The journey home was very un-eventful mind it was the wee hours of the morning.
For today
1 Bacon and brie on toasted bread was lush for brekkie.
2 Tided and deep cleaned all of the animal areas, and resulting wash loads all done.
3 Made a sugar free brownie bake using coconut flower and a bit of sweetener and coconut oil. topped with a heart made of brazil nuts on it for DH’s valentine gift.
4 A friend got in contact this morning; we’re hoping to get together next week.
5 Tonight’s grub is chicken turned into hm curry with oven chips, it was so colourful I actually took a photo.

1) in some ways a sad day (32 years since I gave birth to my son, only 19 weeks gestation so too small to even register the birth) but have discovered I can order a leaf for the SiMBA tree for our local Botanic gardens https://www.simbacharity.org.uk/what-we-do/trees-of-tranquillity/city-of-dundee-tree/) which has made me feel very happy
2) church - we had coffee and cake after, very yummy
3) watched the curling - never watched curling before - fascinating
4) leicester game in mennies with mr g and dr m - oh dear, another victory lost in the dying minutes
